I called Inklings to get some information, quotes and to place an order.The man that answered the phone was bordering on rude, in a hurry to get off the phone, and told me I had to come in if I wanted the information and to place the order as they don't do it over the phone. I knew exactly what I wanted and the size. Every other printing company I have dealt with would always work with me over the phone and through email without a problem. Inklings must be so successful that they don't need the business. I called Next Day Signs in Santa Maria and they were happy to work with me over the phone and via email and definitely wanted my business. Take your business elsewhere if you would like to be treated with basic human decency. I am from the city of Phoenix and am therefore used to dealing with rude and blunt people, but never in my life have I been treated with as much blatant disrespect as I was when I ran into Inklings to receive a fax for my handicapped grandmother. As someone who always treats customer service representatives with kindness and respect, I was appalled by the way I was treated in turn by Kelly- and if she's lying about that being her name, she is the middle-aged woman with the black hair and blue eyes. Perhaps it's because I look like I could be a teenager, but I am a 21 year old woman. I have never been looked at or spoken to with such disgust and sarcasm. I was in shock from the interaction and very visibly shaken when I returned to the car, so my handicapped grandma got OUT of the car to try and rectify the situation. Kelly came out and gave the least genuine apology I have ever heard in my life simply to save face and told me I had "taken it the wrong way". For her to tell me that the absolutely hateful way she interacted with me was misinterpreted? What a huge insult to my intelligence. You do not speak to people like that. This is all very unfortunate because I just moved to Lompoc and have a business that requires a lot of the services that Inklings offers, but I will never be returning. If I really need to, I'll drive to Santa Maria every time I need the services of a printing shop. If Kelly is a reflection of the values of Inklings, then you can tell that they do not care about their customers or keeping them. read more

I have been to Inklings on numerous occasions and never encountered any sort of difficulty in interacting with the people there. Their prices for basic services such as printing documents and/or images from a USB drive are much, much lower, by orders of magnitude, than those of the "Big Name" shipping concerns here in town that also provide basic printing services. read more

Kelly was able to specifically address the most cost effective way for me to print pictures using material that would yield the best outcome. This company's service was efficient, clear communication of my project's details were established and I was very pleased with the photos. The colors were vibrant, black and white images were sharp, the material was quality. I also notice the diverse projects and close community involvement that this company displays throughout their shop. Definitely not happy with the service. For one the owner or manager was not good with customer service. He wasn't friendly. Secondly, we had to call to check on our order which was finished but we never received a call. And thirdly, our order was cut crooked. He charged us a cutting fee and our stuff wasn't even. read more
