I went by the West Town Center store in Santa Maria CA to pick up an Amazon package that had been delivered two days ago. The only employee present made a half-hearted look around for about 20 seconds, checked a few address labels, and told me it wasn't there. His lack of zeal was obvious. Amazon still says it was delivered - but is not returnable because it has pepper spray cans as part of the shipment. After it sat there a few days... maybe got handed to the wrong person? read more

The customer service rep (should have gotten name but didn't he had red hair) had no one In line and refused to help me with Amazon packages. He told me to use the machine. He then had attitude when I requested him to help me with the service requested because I had my infant. Literally his job to bag and scan returns! This store will not help you to find a package OR even help to file a claim on a missing shipment that was shipped from their location. Stay far away from this business! The customer service is very bad, they do little to almost nothing to help those who only speak Spanish. They have no communication among themselves. If I could give negative stars, I would. The guy who works there, Evan, was absolutely useless. I showed up at 10am for a scheduled fingerprint appointment, and was told that "someone with a code to do that doesn't come in until 12pm." So step one, I had to wait 2 hours for someone to show up, and I had to drive from SLO to get there because no one else in town does fingerprints. THEN, I show up after 12 to be told by Evan that all I have to do is USE A KIOSK. So I go to use it, and I keep getting an error code that says the service is unavailable. I tell Evan, and he looks at the screen and tells me I have to call the number on the screen. I told him, "no, this is a service issue, not an issue with my registration. You should be the one calling a technician." So he goes back behind the counter as I'm staring at him, and he looks at me and says, "can I help you with something?" !!!!what?! You're at your place of work and you won't even do your job to call a technician to fix the piece of equipment that YOU work with?! Ok. So I call the number and the technician says someone needs to turn off the machine and turn it back on (of course). So Evan comes back to do that. When it's finally rebooted, I get my fingerprints done which took all of 45 seconds. So I drove 40 mins and waited for 2 hours...for something that took 45 seconds, with absolutely no help from the employees. This store is useless. read more

I come here often and I have came to this store to purchase a big box for boots to send off. There was a time Frame to send it off and the older lady said postal comes and picks up from them and it can be sent off being thst I had already provided a shipping label. I paid for a custom box to be made and left. Called the day after to assure it was sent bc I was not notified of my shipping label being picked up and shipped ... the older lady was defensive and said it was sent out today and what happens after it was picked up , she had no idea. Now my client is wondering where's her merchandise that she had paid for. A few months ago these certain employees. Mom and dtr cost me a price on an item bc they sent my item to the WRONG store for my refund ! Talk about over a $100 out the door just bc they mixed it up with my other returns and not to the correct place !!! I like the place , but these two need to get it together and Customer service could be a lot better. read more

Came to drop off in important package, my printer was not working at home, but have gone to plenty of UPS stores ( not this one) and they have always printed it out for me and shipped it, I looked online and all places stated the place closed at 6:30 so I drove 10 mins each way, got there at 5:59pm and was told that they couldn't accept and print my label, I told them online it stated that they closed at 6:30pm and they just shrugged it off, will be going to SLO UPS store from now on, screw this place. read more

I really don't know how to use my $1000+ phone, so they helped me print, scan and email my documents. Plus I had some Amazon returns and couldn't figure out what to do (there were too many words in the instructions...ahhh!!!) but they knew exacting what to do! So, if you don't like to read and technology is not your bag, this is the place! Truly, I would give this location 2 stars, so the 2 stars can make more baby stars and the store could get infinity stars, like rabbits. read more

So, I just want to start off by giving a big thanks to Liz who helped me carry a gigantic package from my car into the store. I think she was the only one there at the moment so it was just us two lovely ladies hauling a poorly put together package. I got good vibes the whole time. I would definitely go to this UPS store again. The lesson I learned from this experience is if the box is damaged when you get it just don't open it send it back. My grandmother mailed a package to me on 12/17/2020. She went back into the UPS Store on Monday Dec 21st to let them know that the dishes they bubble wrapped and shipped had 4 broken dishes in the box when I received it. The lady at the counter told her something along the lines of they are too busy to handle it right now and maybe they will get to it sometime in January. I called the store at 4:11pm yesterday (Monday, Dec 21) and started to tell the person who answered the phone what my grandmother was told and she cut me off and started talking over me & stated she was the one who helped my grandma. I then asked for a manager and she put me on hold. She came back on the phone about 20 seconds later and said "ok what". I said "did you just say what" and she said "yeah I did". So I asked for her name, which she stated was "Jo". I then asked to talk to her manager again and stated she was very rude and unprofessional. At this time, she told me & I quote "You need to slow your roll girl because you don't know what you're talking about". At this time, I hung up the phone and called several #'s trying to get ahold of someone who could give me a corporate phone number so I could file a complaint. Not only am I disgusted at how this employee treated an 82 year old lady, but it's absolutely pathetic that this is the type of customer service I received when calling to find out what to do about the broken items that I received. I really enjoyed going there before customer service can be good at times, unfortunately with in the last months I've noticed a completely different change, before P.O. Box members were able to go inside the store at all times with a key even after close, not anymore. I've had packages that I thought were missing sent from Mexico there at the ups store giving to me four months later like no one could of thought to leave a notification of a package that has been in there store for four months as a paid member. I've had to ask them to please don't leave any packages inside my P.O. Box instead leave a tracking receipt and wait in line for them to hand me the package because I noticed that they're okay with people that they're cool with enter the back of the P.O. Box case and see if they have a package in there P.O. Box and if not just leave the ups store instead of using there P.O. box key and open there P.O. box and see if a package has arrived l, like what in the world that is not okay someone can easily steal from there, because there're no locks or seals in the back of the P.O. Box anyone can from behind the Bo box case see all mail and steal which has happened on a large scale already and I was never notified about a robbery at the ups store, I was left to figure it out on my own that my package was stolen. I would get notified by the ups store that my package was ready for me to pick up and me arriving to see the employees chillin on there phone with hours of time to sort the two or three bags of mail and them telling me that my package is not going to be ready for pick up that day and the next day them being closed for holiday purposes. I got fed up with the lousy service that decided to not do business there anymore and to only send important packages and pay the five dollar fee for every single package I send there, well today I was charged ten dollars for every single package!! Like what in the world??? How is that even possible I really hope they don't go out of business there because I really enjoyed the location of that ups store, like what is happening in Santa Maria??? Lol who is targeting all the businesses?? Everything is closing down! read more

I mainly use this UPS store to return textbooks. The girls are very knowledgeable and friendly. Even when I was about to ship my book back, the worker informed me that it should be free if I print out my Amazon return paper. I was thanksful that she let me know that important fact instead of charging me. I'm very impressed with this store. They are fast and efficient. read more

Having a sibling in the Air Force, I send that person care packages and other stuff through this place, simple and easy. I initially wanted to send my first care package to said person but USPS wanted to charge around 70$, so I came to this place and shipped it for around 40! Whenever I need to send something via package, I would recommend doing it through this place. read more

Horible place. My package was marked as "out for delivery" since 9am from santa maria yesterday and at 7pm the ups truck stops in front of my house and then looks in his truck and then stares at my house then drives away? Now today my package is marked as "destination scanned" once again in santa maria... ??? I called UPS in santa maria and they were utterly useless. They just told me to wait untill monday. UPS you are creepy for just staring at my house and taking my package away again. I have work on monday so you will probably stop at my house and finnaly try to deliever my package and decide since no one is home to once again take my package to santa maria.
