Wow! Best service and meal that I have had out in probably 5 years. Tina was an exceptional server and mixologist. Our party of 3 went with the Mahi, Halibut, and the Sea-bass. All Devine! My fiancé and I have Ben to this restaurant a few times. While a great, upscale restaurant in the area, it has trouble with execution. The food is good and high end. However, it's odd to be eating at a nice place with loud, party music. Additionally, each time our waitress is scattered and doesn't make smooth transitions. She has forgotten to bring us stuff and brings things in a strange order. Also, it has never been busy when we go on weekend evenings, which is disappointing for a restaurant with a top chef. I think if they worked on execution of their dining experience, they would do better. read more

I recently had an amazing dining experience at Feast. I heard wonderful things about their food and decided to try it for myself. To start, the decor and space is very warm and welcoming. It is a large restaurant so even if it is busy, you are not rubbing elbows with the table next to you. They have very good booth spacing, meaning the table wasn't placed too far or too close to the seat which can ruin a dining experience in my opinion. The wait staff was very accommodating as we brought in our own cakes for a few birthdays we had in the group and they promptly offered to have them stored in the fridge until we were ready and then offered to cut and plate it for us. Feast has a very unique drink menu from traditional favorites like martinis to a hometown take on an original Manhattan by mixing it with a splash of Rock and Rye which was called "The Detroiter". I also tried a smoked Old Fashioned, and had a drink called Nectar of the Buffalo, which is Bourbon with coconut cream. I am not a huge coconut fan, so this was probably my least favorite spirit of the 3. For appetizers we had their Sweet Chili Calamari and Carpaccio. Both of these dishes were excellent and the calamari was a unique and delicious twist on a staple appetizer. I consider myself a Caesar salad authority, and this was one of the best I have had outside of some of the table-side renditions at popular steakhouses in the area. Out of the 4 diners in our party, two of them had the filet with scallops, and the other two had Surf n Turf, everything cooked to the requested level of doneness and perfection. This was a very enjoyable dining experience and I will definitely be referring more people here. A true 5 star review with zero room for improvement! read more

Out for a date night and we thought we'd just order a few drinks and a seafood shareable. Hubs wanted to get the seafood tower "$39" and it said minimum 2. So we asked about it and said we were not THAT hungry... is the seafood tower too much for 2 people? And the waiter said no it's plenty. He never said it was $39 per person that choose to eat it. So $78 for a bare minimum seafood tray that also tasted semi gross... plus dirty dish towel water wafted through the air. Overall unpleasant experience. Drinks were decent but overpriced for what it was. Server seemed under the influence of drugs or alcohol too. This is my 3rd time there. We won't be back. read more

I don't know how this place gets these good reviews. To start, the server and her trainee were rude. I have never heard a server question a guest's substitution of vegetables for fries. Yes, my husband likes his carbs. He is not a fan of veggies. Next, the server was making comments about the new Pumpkin Spiced drink and how it's not that time yet. As I was watching a video of my son playing football, she asked, "They really do football at this age? He's too young for that." Yes, my son goes to a private school and he does football there. Why judge what my son does? When we got our food, it was mediocre. I didn't want to finish our food and asked for boxes. The trainee asked in a demanding manner if we wanted her to wrap up the food or if we wanted to, as if it was inconvenient and not something she wanted to do. If you don't want to do it, then don't offer it. Other than that, the food was not worth $100 and we will not return or ever refer someone to this place. I can only base my review on drinks and apps and will re-evaluate when I have a chance to try a meal. Sat at the bar both times I've been in and Tina is the most amazing and pleasant bar tender EVER. Super helpful in picking drinks and engages without being clingy. Loved her! I've tried three of the specialty drinks and all were delicious. My favorite was their version of the Lemon Drop. Tried the steak bites and truffle fries with my husband and OMG. I could have eaten three plates of each. The portion of fries was huge and SO good. The atmosphere is kind of swanky but not in an uncomfortable manner. The place really does look amazing compared to when it was Rosies. The bathrooms are still super 90's pink and could have had an update to fit the rest of the place but they are just bathrooms so it's not a make or break thing. The speakeasy upstairs will open soon and they will also start doing brunch at some point. They also have a small room for Chefs Table events. Came here for Valentine's Day during their soft opening type of event . Husband and I were fairly unimpressed with the food, especially for the price, however ...I wanted to wait to give it another chance before making a review . Now that they've been open a while my girlfriends and I came for brunch on a Sunday. Place was dead so we really didn't need a reservation. Took about 15 minutes to get drinks from the time we ordered and more time to get the waters we asked for. Our waitress, although very nice,obviously had zero experience. We asked about the ingredients in a specific drink and she said "I'm actually not sure"... and didn't offer to ask the bartender to figure it out. Also took a ridiculous amount of time for her to return each time, which didn't make sense with us being her only table. I ordered the avocado toast and it was incredibly soggy and unappetizing. My girlfriends were also not over the moon with their food orders. Just a bummer because this place is beautiful And close to home... just does not deliver at all. read more

First time visiting. After seeing Chef Jared Bobkin on Hell's Kitchen and on Fox 2 Detroit decided to explore. Atmosphere very pleasant. Sit at the bar with Tina as our server. Tina and the rest of the staff were very pleasant. Ordered the short ribs, tender (only needed a fork) with the sautéed mushrooms, and the polenta was creamy with the hint of goat cheese. Delicious!! I think that this place has a great opportunity to make it in Chesterfield Mi.However, they have a ways to go. My family ate there recently, and although it was advertised as fine dining, it certainly was not. The food was what we had greatly anticipated, and, I am only going to review my meal. The server was overwhelmed, yet accommodating. She did not seem to know much about the menu, but tried really hard to answer our questions. I did not eat the bread, but was told that it was great. I ordered the airline chicken on the assurance that it was wonderful. What I received was a dry piece of chicken breast that had absolutely no flavor, no seasoning and although it was in some type of sauce, that too was not tasty. I had soup as a starter.....no seasonings either. There were about five cucumber slices on my plate in their own sauce. And, after dinner, the coffee was just barely warm. All in all, a disappointment. I hope they get it together. I'll wait for some time to go by and give it another try. read more

Feast is not a fine dining establishment! I'm not sure what they are? 4 of us had dinner reservations yesterday and we were all disappointed. I would love to give you a play by play on how the dinner actually went but I will give you a shorter version. We all are former restaurant owners first of all so we think we are being kind with this review. Why would you put your patrons in a high top table next to a room with very loud parties? Why would you put a martini in a champagne glass? Why would you serve a virgin Bloody Mary without any garnish? No celery etc. Why would you serve a salad that was supposed to be shared without another plate? Why would you bring out the entrees before we were even close to finishing our salads? Why wouldn't you serve or at least ask if we wanted bread? None at all Why would you serve a filet( actually 3 were ordered) and not bring a steak knife until after the food was served? Why would you only bring out 3 dinners when there are 4 people dining? The fourth dinner came out 10 minutes later. Why would you serve asparagus in a bowl? Kind of hard to cut .... Why would you have hip hop music playing, very loudly, if you are a fine dining establishment? Now the food was good not great and certainly not steakhouse prices. I can say one thing we will not be back. If this restaurant doesn't train their staff or put out correctly served food they will not be in business very long. Perhaps they could go back to being a sports bar? It's a shame that the Eastside cannot seem to get good fine dining restaurants! read more

My family came here for a Christmas Eve dinner. Not one of us enjoyed our food. I had the risotto and added scallops on top. I was so excited for this. The risotto was so dry it was like a hard, dry rice. It had almost no flavor. My niece had the Alfredo and the sauce was super dried out on the noodles. Another family member had the seabass, which wasn't good. My mother in law had salmon, which she had to ask for a sauce to dip the fish into because it had no flavor. I am not sure how this place is in business. I have had so many mixed review. Either terrible or great. I was hoping we would have a great experience, but that wasn't the case. They were not busy at all this night and it tasted like our food had sat on the counter for a long time before it arrived at our table. Unacceptable meal for such a nice restaurant. read more

I hosted my husband's 50th birthday party for over 80 people in The Parlor Room at Feast. I CAN NOT recommend this restaurant enough! The chef, Jeff, and manager, Jason, worked with me to make my vision come to life. The staff was amazing and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. To the point of where guests called/texted me the following week giving their compliments to the Staff and Chef. Not to mention, how beautiful the restaurant and The Parlor Room is! Five stars is not enough for the experience we had. If you haven't been, try Feast! If you have gone, keep going back! We need more restaurants like this. The atmoshpere of Downtown Detroit, but without the drive and trouble parking. This resteraunt is truly a hidden gem. read more

Staff was overly accommodating to adding and deleting toppings to our request. Second round- array of Oysters fresh as can be with nice presentation Next Round - French onion soup- served supper hot, baguette pleasantly allowed for piece to be captured in each bite throughout whole bowl, Gruyere cheese elevates the standard provolone to a new level, sherry or sweetness was perfect. I loved the petite dice of onions and the overall flavor was great. Bread basket- pita cracker chips n rolls no better in the city!! Traditional presentation with a pleasant twist. (3) orders of sea bass at our table all identical in consistency , sear and crust was perfect, nice mix of mushrooms in light broth, only pretentious complaint I may have was that it came to the table so hot that it slowed us down from inhaling it. Dessert for the night was bread pudding with an awesome bourbon Caramel sauce. It was so tasty that It reaffirmed my original intention to order it as an appetizer.
