Square One is one of better local pizzerias around. If you couldn't tell by the name, square pizzas are its specialty. Breads, salads, subs, and wings are on the menu, as well. The cheese bread is a nice compliment to your pizza of choice. What makes the bread more enjoyable though are the housemade ranches. The options are classic or "raging." The raging ranch definitely has a kick, but it's tolerable. As for the pizza, I have 2 favorites, the chicken coop and mama's meatball pizza. The meatball pizza's generous amount of meatballs and parmesan cheese sprinkled on top make it reminiscent of a homemade pasta dinner. BBQ chicken pizzas typically feature shredded chicken. What I like about the chicken coop, is that it features bite-sized pieces of fried chicken instead. Regardless of which pizza you order, I recommend the "all corner" option. Ordered bread, a byo calzone & a byo pizza. Order was ready & waiting when I arrived. Our pizza had pepperoni, sausage, onions, & pineapple. The calzone had pineapple & mild peppers. Everything was fantastic. The pizza had the soft dough that becomes a crunch as your teeth bite in. The sauce is mild & thick with tomato. Perfect ration of cheese and sauce, plentiful toppings. Best Detroit style pizza I've had! The team running the store was amazing. Take and go with a spot to sit and wait for your order. We had around 12 orders from our soccer team that were all placed at the same time. They were orderly and kept them all hot until we picked them up. I want to give it a 3.5 but I cant so Ill give it a 4 because a 3 would be to low. My pizza was fine, not great. It was over cooked which I don't normally mind but when I got it, it was a little dried out for a round when I didn't ask for WD. I dont think its a 22 dollar 2 topping pizza. Tried out this new pizza place tonight and was not disappointed. We got an anti pasta salad, which was very good. They dice most of the meat and cheese so you never have a bite without them. Next tried the cheese bread. It was great!! The cheese is a really nice mozzarella because you can taste the creamy salty-ness of it. The crust was cooked just perfectly. Oh and the Ranch, anybody who is a fan of Jet's "Crack" ranch, this ranch is even better. Has the great taste like that but isn't as thick. Tried out 2 pizzas, the Mama's meatball, which the meatballs literally taste like Mama's. These are definitely not frozen. We also had The Standard pizza. All the toppings on it were fresh. Pretty good pizza. It looks Detroit style, but doesn't have the flavor. To get that seasoned flavor in a dough you can't wash the pans. That's why they call them seasoned pans. This is place is so good it's bananas. My girlfriend and I got a square with pepperoni and a cheese bread and both were so good. The crusts were crispy, the cheese was salty, everything was just stellar. What's incredible to me, as one other reviewer said, is that the ranch is equally good, if not better, than Jet's. I had a chance today to try the pizza at Square One. Although I already have a couple of go to pizza spots, I now have a new number one. I had the meatball and the pepperoni and can't say enough how good this pizza is. The meatball pizza had to be the best I have had with great ingredients and meatballs. ( literally meatballs cut in half) on every piece. Cooked to perfection both pizzas were excellent. I have not tried the salads and other items yet, but by what I saw , I can't wait. This place is right up there with green lantern and buddy's. I'm not sure it's technically Detroit style pizza but it is very similar. The prices are fair and it's in a good location for people who can't make it out to other spots. It's very good and stands up to the competition. read more

Pizza is second to none! If you like Buddy's, Cloverleaf or Green Lantern you will LOVE Square One. The square pizza crust is crispy and sauce is delicious!
