Buffalo Trace at $20 a pour in a neighborhood bar just doesn't make sense. My total came to $76 for a Coke, two drinks, and a burger, which would be easier to swallow if the food and service matched the price. Unfortunately, the burger was overcooked and the service has been consistently slow, even when the place isn't busy. This spot used to be a favorite back when it was Clancy's, the stuffed mushrooms alone were worth the visit. Whether it's new ownership or just a shift in direction, it's not the same experience anymore. Paying $38 for two rock pours of Buffalo Trace when a full bottle runs around $27 is hard to justify. Between the pricing and the service, it just doesn't add up. I gave it more than one chance, but I'll be going elsewhere moving forward. read more

This is just one of those spots that I've driven past a bunch of times, but never tried... until recently. They have a really decent beer list and nice size menu, but it's not overwhelming. The service has always been really good; fast and friendly and the food has been surprisingly good! I've had a few burgers, the Italian sandwich and their pizza; all of which have been great! It's now a normal part of our weekend rotation and it's a really nice neighborhood bar. Give it a shot! read more

It is a local pub with a fairly good sized menu, lots of choices. I had the salmon which was decent maybe a little too much Cajun seasoning-I can't believe I just wrote that-I love Cajun. Random stop into this restaurant on a Thursday afternoon. I enjoyed the open concept and windows. I was able to get fresh air without having to sit on the patio. First, it's just incredibly loud. Next, when we asked for a beer list, we were told that it was on the board near the door, so I had to get up, and walk back to the front door to see it. We come here after cardio drumming for Taco Tuesday every week. I was here a few times when it was Clancy's as well. It is a typical "local" bar. It's fairly big, but usually full of regulars. On Tuesdays they have "Stump Trivia" which is an interesting.version. On tuesdays they also have $2 tacos and $5 margaritas. The tacos are large portions. I ordered 3 but could only eat 2. Hennessey's is a new bar & kitchen. It used to be Clancy's on Hayes Rd. in Clinton Township. The place was closed for several weeks for a remodel. Nothing on the inside was really changed. Garage style windows were added. & A few booths, & new tables but that's about it. We ordered Nachos, but they were out of tortilla chips. So we ordered Calamari as an appetizer instead. I ordered chicken tacos & my husband ordered a Roadside burger. Our drinks were delivered in a reasonable amount of time. After 15/20 minutes later, our food arrived. The Calamari was served to my husband ( not first, as an appetizer should be). Told the server that he had a burger too. When it was delivered, the fries were cold & the burger, warm. The place was not busy, so we assumed the food was just sitting there. Our waitress seemed new & unsure of herself. The Calamari ( which was also just warm) had great taste. The chicken tacos were ok, nothing special. Asked for more salsa, never got it. My husband loved the burger. The fries were crispy, even though cold! Will try again in a few weeks. Nice updates to decor from the former Clancy's. Very slow service. We ordered chips and queso dip; it took about 25 minutes and seemed to be out of a jar. The chips seemed stale as well. We ordered the early bird burger, cooked medium. Although it was over done, it still tasted really good. The chips that came with the burger tasted like oil.
