We went to BJ's before an appointment -- I just saw it & we decided to try. First, the decor is nice, although a little dark. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the menu is HUGE! There was a little insert with lunch specials which included a small pazookie for dessert, all fot $13! I had the unlimited soup & salad. I chose the broccoli cheddar soup. It was very rich, cheesy & a good amount of broccoli. It was so thick that, before the server brought me a spoon, I was able to eat it with a fork! I had the house salad. Nice, fresh greens -- not just romaine or head lettuce -- beautifully dressed with really good honey mustard dressing. My sister had the Enlightened Mediterranean chicken bowl -- a very interesting combination of chicken, quinoa, brown rice and feta, which was also good. The server came by in the middle of our meal to ask what kind of pizookies we wanted, and she even offered to package them to go. They arrived warm, and even after being in the car for a couple hours on a winter day, they still retained a bit of warmth! We visited BJ's for the first time tonight with a group of nine. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious, and we had been looking forward to trying it for a while. We made reservations in advance during happy hour and were initially told we would need to sit in the bar area to receive happy hour pricing. However, since all of the seating there was high-top tables and we had children with us, that wasn't an option. The staff accommodated us by seating us in the main dining area while still honoring the happy hour specials, which we appreciated. Our server, Jake, was great. He was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and offered helpful recommendations throughout the evening. We started with the spinach artichoke dip and chicken potstickers, both of which were good. The kids ordered mac and cheese, Parmesan buttered noodles, chicken tenders, and mini cheeseburgers. The mac and cheese and chicken tenders were very standard. The buttered noodles had to be remade, as they initially came out hard and dried, as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp. The mini cheeseburgers were extremely overcooked--more like hockey pucks--so we sent them back and replaced them with a pasta dish, which unfortunately was also hard. Three adults ordered the prime rib dinner (medium) with whipped potatoes and asparagus. All three came out overcooked. The potatoes were gummy, the asparagus was woody with the ends not trimmed, and the prime rib itself was described as dry and gritty--almost like rehydrated jerky. My husband sent his back and ordered Sal's Brewhouse Chicken instead, which was also disappointing--chewy, stringy, and overly sour from the lemon sauce to the point it was inedible. I ordered the crispy jalapeño burger, which was good, but my fries were noticeably undercooked compared to others at the table. The highlight of the meal was the pizookie, which was delicious and the only standout item of the night. Manager Alex did comp a significant portion of our bill, which we appreciated, and our server Jake handled everything professionally. However, overall, the food quality was very inconsistent. Out of nine meals, only about three were acceptable. While we might consider returning for dessert, we wouldn't come back for dinner. read more

Review in real time . Waited over a year to come back here to BJ's. Made a 6 o'clock reservation. 40 minutes later had to talk to a manager to get a seat. Didn't seem like anyone was checking people in and saying who was seated according to his speaking with the staff. Then there was a table we could've sat att but the restaurant doesn't have enough chairs. However, a party of 15 wasn't here yet to be seated and he said he didn't have enough seats. The funny thing is somehow he found seats and sat them before us. They made us stand here and continued to wait. unbeknownst to anybody was that there was a high top available. We could've sent it all along. I don't know what's going on here. My son came a couple weeks ago had a reservation and they had to wait 45 minutes for their seat too. Needs to be done. I was expecting there to be honey mustard on it like it says but when it showed up there was just lettuce and chicken. I asked for a side of ranch to put on it and it took forever to get to our table. There also was not a lot of fries. Both extremely average at best. All of our food didn't come out at once either so we were awkwardly waiting for the last dish to come out to eat. Overall this place doesn't have amazing food. It feels like everything is just reheated and not really cooked there almost like a newer Applebee's at a higher price. You honestly cant beat the price for everything you get. We love coming here for the food it reminds me of a Texas Roadhouse/chilis style due to the deals and of course they have beer on tap as well. BJ's has a very similar formula from one location to another. The inside has dining room and a big full bar with plenty of their own and craft beer taps as well as NA options. Since they can accommodate large groups, they can get busy very quickly. To avoid the week, we grabbed a seat at the bar where you can have everything on their very large menu. Plenty of specials on and off the menu so check with your server. Orders to go seem to do a good volume here too. Pricing is fair for the location and service was very friendly. Open every day for lunch, afternoon, and dinner meals, makes a safe bet on days and times when many other restaurants are closed. Dinner included fresh ingredients that was made to order. Everything was flavorful and our server checked to make sure we were completely satisfied. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Whenever we go out for something special, we go here. It does get crazy busy but if you go earlier around 3 or 4pm then it is a lot quicker. We did go recently at 5pm on a weekend and the wait was only 30 minutes. If you go on certain days they have deals as well. Monday through Friday they have a $13 pizookie meal deal which comes with a choice of an entree (8 options) and a free pizookie. Wednesday the burgers are only $12 with unlimited fries. They also have the bjs beers for $5. They also have deals during happy hour. I love their boneless peppered bbq wings. The mozarella sticks are really good too. If you want a low calorie option they have a flatbread pizza. Almost every server we have had has been amazing. There was only one bad server and I heard she was let go shortly after. Other than that, they have been fantastic. The best part is they bring a snack tray if you have kids so that you aren't waiting forever for their food. read more

We have been here multiple time and always disappointed. Everytime we have come they were out of what we wanted to order, chicken, soup, and forget about getting any of the specials. They are always out, even if you come early. Everytime we have been here They have screwed up our order, one occasion they were rude as hell to the point of they switched our waitress on thier own. My husband & I ate here on Monday with some friends& we had a great server who gave helpful recommendations! We sat in a booth & even though it was in the bar area we were able to talk without shouting across the table which is always a plus for me. Our friends got the gluten free pizza which we tried & it was really good. Our tavern-cut pizza was also really good. I would definitely recommend the sriracha queso! I ordered the lucky duck drink & also their prickly pear lemonade which were both delicious! You can buy the bathtub for an extra $10 which my friend & I were going to buy they were running low & told us we couldn't buy them that day but that they would likely have more in 2 weeks & we could buy them then. Hello last weekend my friend and I enjoyed an appetizer and then we ordered the lightly breaded fish. We were shocked to see how much breading was on the fish and how little fish there was really inside of those breaded pieces. It looked like it was double breaded and quite dark at the same time my friend was very disappointed. We were really looking forward to having a nice dinner after eating the Aji tuna which was excellent I just had to let you know that you cannot call that lightly breaded.
