I was not impressed by this place! I went in with my mom to get a Taro Bubble Tea. My mom had ordered 2 of these, one for myself and one for my lil bro; she also ordered a small coffee and a triangle chocolate cake.
We got everything except MY TARO BUBBLE TEA! The only reason why we were in there! These girls were rude, when we had walked in and my mom was in the middle of ordering, the girl that was standing there, just turned away and started saying "ah yah". HRMPPHHHH - NOT GOOD BY ANY MEANS IN MY BOOK!!! Who walks away when someone's talking to you?! Rude much? Then when the other girl ended up taking my mothers order, my mom had ordered the 2 drinks, coffee, and cake. My mom had to leave to go to the store next door, so I stayed while these were being made.
While standing there, they brought back 1 taro bubble tea. Still standing there, waiting for the 2nd drink. I told the ladies that I'm going to need to double cup this one that's in my hands. My brother is 6 and will more than likely pop off the cover if the squeezes it. It had one of those dome tops and the cups were so thin, I know I've done it a few times before with my shakes at the gym. The lady didn't understand me. I speak English and only English. Then when she finally did understand that I needed another cup, she wanted to charge me for it!
I told her no, I'm not paying for a cup, I just need one so that the lid won't pop off and make a mess everywhere. They took the cup away from me and did something, but then brought it back with the dome cup and still... had liquid overflowing. What did she not understand?! Put it in a bigger cup if you have to. Put the rest of the liquid in another cup. Do something so my brother doesn't spill it everywhere! Jesus!
Then on top of that, I had the argument of how many cups were ordered. I told her my mom had ordered 2. She says we payed for 1. Is it my fault you have a hearing problem and didn't understand that my mother had ordered 2! Go make a 2nd one! What's the problem?! So, I called my mom, who came back in, and told her that she had ordered 2. Then the woman was all apologetic, in Chinese of course. Hrmph! In America, you should learn how to speak English. I don't care who you are. If you're here, English is the language. You can still speak our own, but learn the damn language!
She then made the tea, and of course I now had to pay for the drink. Which I don't mind, but it was her mistake for not hearing us right! Never again, will I go back to this place. If I'm ever back in town, it's Main St. for me. read more
