Visited Favorite Pizza for the first time for a to-go pizza order. I really wanted to love this place because it came highly recommended, but my experience didn't quite measure up. I placed my to-go order online. When I arrived, parking is sparse but I was able to park behind some employee parking spaces long enough to get my order. The employee promptly greeted me at the bar and gave me the status of my pizza and gave me advice on parking. The pizza was ready when promised. It was packed in a to-go pizza box. The restaurant is vintage with a counter to place and pick up orders. They also have a bar area and tables with stools for a diner vibe. I ordered the Piazza pizza with Italian Sausage, Pomodoro, Whole Milk Mozzarella, Roasted Italian Sweet Peppers, Shallot, Basil, Black Olive, Roasted Mushroom, Calabrese Salami. I was expecting something flavorful and balanced, but it ended up being way too spicy for my taste. The heat was completely overpowering, so I couldn't really enjoy the other ingredients. I couldn't really nail down what was spicy on the pizza, I don't think it was the Italian sweet peppers so it must have been the sauce. My mouth was on fire for at least a couple of hours. The crust and overall quality seemed good, and I can tell they use fresh ingredients, but the spice level just wasn't it for me. There was nothing on the menu to indicate that this pizza would be spicy so it caught me off guard. I'd be open to trying something else on the menu next time, just maybe not the Piazza again. It was a high price point for something that was too spicy to eat.

We were greeted and served right away. We tried the pepperoni pizza.. it was so delicious! Thin and crispy. Seriously the most perfect little crunch in every bite. No flop over here! We also tried their caesar salad which had chili flakes that gave the salad a nice little elevated kick. Sodas are served in cans. The place was tiny, definitely more of a grab and go type of pizza spot but they have some seating (see pictures). Definitely a place I would revisit.

My favorite pizza in town(pun intended) the crispy crust and delicious toppings make this my personal go to. We love that you can order a slice to go or order a whole pie to take home. It's a small space with a counter and the staff is great at recommending good options. Are personal favorite is the classic pepperoni or the 7train! You really can't go wrong though.

Officially my new favorite spot. My fiancé and I wandered in and were so pleased with our pizza that we ordered extra to go. The pizza was the perfect thin crust, with a satisfying crunch so good it left us talking about it even after we left. The staff were pleasant and quick, and the pizza was served steaming hot. Will 10000% be back, and will be thinking about this pizza all week.

A great pizza spot for the night out in the city! Very casual and fast, reminds me of my favorite pizza place in NYC. You can get a whole pie or individual slices, which they also have a good selection of. The beer options are pretty solid and you can find one for any taste (cans and bottles only). The service is quick, you get your order done really fast. There's a limited amount of spots inside and a few outside spots.

Was always curious to try this pizza place. Open late in the night and they serve through a window for a quick grab and their pizza slices start from $5. I got the cheese slice. They took a lot of time to heat it but the pizza wasn't great could have been better. They also had Italian, pepperoni and beers and drinks. Will visit again to try their specialty pizza.

Whenever I am downtown for training or anything I visit Favorite pizza for that good lunch slice. This place is not huge in size and the ambiance has a relaxed feel. The place can get a little busy during lunch and there's not a ton of space inside . You can order a slice or a whole pizza. They also have drinks to include alcoholic beverages as well. The pizza is NY style in my opinion and very delicious. The crust has a slight crunch and The pizza is always fresh and the staff is always personable and quick paced. Would definitely recommend trying it, especially if you are downtown.

It's a very small establishment (bar counter, window counter, and two tables). I was super excited to have found a pizza place where I could buy per slice! For the size the price felt reasonable and I got the Speciality pizza which had japanenos, peppers, pepperoni, and cheese. There were cheese and red pepper flakes shakers on the counters to sprinkle on the pizza and also packets in case you planned to take the pizzas to go. On the bar counter there was also complementary water and plastic cups. Overall I enjoyed my pizza, the crust was very crunchy and the toppings certainly had the kick of a jalapeño pepperoni cheese pizza! Would love to come again to try out future specialty/seasonal pizzas!

A friend of ours that lived in New York for a while said Favorite Pizza was THE BEST NY style pizza she has had in Austin. Naturally we just HAD to check it out for ourselves. Sunday to Thursday they have a deal with a large cheese or pepperoni pizza with a pitcher of beer for $22. Pretty great deal! Went with a large pepperoni with side of ranch and Tyler(I believe he is the manager) threw in some sort of special sauce they have to try since it was our first visit. I really enjoyed the pizza! They did not skimp on the pepperonis, the bottom of the pizza is super crunchy and the crust fluffy, but still crunchy. I only wish he had more red sauce, but I'm a big sauce person. I feel it's very comparable to Homeslice, but I like this price point better ha oh and their ranch is sooooo good. I did like it over the special sauce we got. I wish I remembered the name. On a gorgeous day like this was I recommend sitting out on the patio. It's not very large, but they have a TV and umbrellas. Fun people watching too. Tyler was super nice and they happened to pour the wrong beer for someone and he offered us the additional pitcher. So that was very nice! Oh and the restroom is super cute with a disco ball!!! We'll definitely be back and I want to try the Cesar Salad and some specialty pizzas.

Oops, I gotta dock a star. We came through hungry after a few drinks. $45 got us 3 slices, 2 awful cups of wine, and probably the worst ranch I've ever had. Not bad, not great. Just okay.

Small spot definitely attracts an out & about drinking crowd. The wait was a little long but worth it for the super hot & fresh full pizza we ordered. Wouldn't go out of my way to go order but still is one of the better local pizzas in Austin

While this place has really good pizza the staff is kind of rude. Maybe it is supposed to go along with the "New York" style pizza.

Seating is limited enough that you start mentally drafting backup plans the moment you step inside. We ordered the lasagna pizza, which tasted good but was noticeably undercooked -- soft enough that it felt like it needed another round in the oven. And the "lasagna" angle? I'm still trying to decode it. Everything listed as the lasagna components were things a normal pizza already has, so the theme didn't quite land. Overall: good flavor, but execution missed the mark for us. Pro tip: order it to go so you're not stuck awkwardly hovering for a table.

So after all eventful volleyball game at the Moody, my handsome guy and I treked over to Home Slice. The parking situation was madness, but we somehow lucked out and snagged a good one. She was helpful, took our order, took our supplemental order, brought us a second side of ranch when a fly decided to nose dive into ours, and checked on us just enough. The salad was spectacular, as usual. There's just never enough. Solution: order two. The garlic knots were a little low on garlic, but tasty nonetheless. Combined with the marinara sauce, just delicious! I got a slice of the white pie with spinach which is olive oil, ricotta, mozzarella, garlic, and spinach. The restaurant is open, good seating, the display of pizza in the case is very appealing and appetizing. Its decor is well done. The pizza has fresh ingredients and tastes great. Crust is perfect. Creamy, crispy shell, and the pistachio and chocolate chips were very good. My favorite. I suppose my only complaint was the pizza and lasagna were a little cool. It should have been a little warmer. I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake. It's the real deal. PS: The gelato flavors are also sorcery. However, a review of their gelato is for another time. I must continue to savor the pie for now.
