Great spot to grab a drink, either to go or enjoy it in their tasting room or outside. More options than just beer, including cider and wine. Friendly service and laid back atmosphere. When the Thursday @ Main concert series is going on, you can hear the music from their tables outside.

Fattey Beer Co. Is in the heart of downtown Buffalo off Main St. On Huron.  It is your typical beer spot for those beer enthusiasts who want a great selection at pretty good pricing.  They have draft, bottle and can options.  They have wine, seltzer, kombucha and soda options.  They are designated as a market so they can even do growler fills. Bring your own growlers.  Can you say 300- 400 cans of beer and and one dollar off for those you take home. They have 5 locations in the Western New York area.  And this is a very happy place.  Very gregarious staff.  And they are passionate about beer. The inside has limited space, but they have plenty of outside seating.  And the best part is they are open every day.  So beer 7 days a week in Buffalo New York.  I know, it sounds too good to be true.  It's not.  If you love craft beer and are in downtown Buffalo, this is a must stop.

Went for a quick drink with friend and really enjoyed the vibe of the place. It wasn't very busy at the time so that probably helped as I was able to take my time to look at the full selection of beers, hard ciders and seltzers they had for to go orders and well as time to get samples of what was on tap before ordering. Everything currently on tap was priced between $5-$9 dollars and I ended up settling on a hard cider for $7 (16oz). It was great delish! There were dozens upon dozens to go options and I definitely will return in the future. The bartender was great too and this place is dog friendly too!

Great beer selection, lively atmosphere that can get quite loud at times. People playing board games, hanging with their dogs, or just contemplating the myriad of beer choices, on draft or in can. Staff are friendly and knowledge about beer. Nice place to catch up with friends.

Loved how quaint this bar was! You could play games or just hang out! We went for beer in the fridge to drink and chat. Great night spent out and nice way to end the night here! I love the location as well-it made for an easy walk in the blistering cold and stayed warm when we walked in!

I've been to the Fattey out in Hamburg before and really enjoyed it. So when I learned they were opening up one in downtown Buffalo, it was a must visit. In the end, it was a nice relaxing spot to have a few drinks and gets bonus points in my book for being extremely dog friendly. The space is smallish but nicely appointed. The bartender was friendly and helpful, he has about a dozen beers behind him on tap and a whole lot more than that available on the shelves and coolers. I would definitely come back again and again.

I had such a good experience here! The bartender/ cook Ryan did such a great job, he made sure my chicken sandwich was cooked to perfection. He was extremely attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. We need more Ryan's in the world. 10/10

A very special thank you to Fattey Beer over this Easter weekend. I really appreciate the extra thought that was put in to creating the Easter baskets. This is the first year that I have not spent this holiday with family. They have several set on their website to cater to any beer or wine lovers need. They arranged delivery, and dropped it off at my home on Saturday. Was able to enjoy on a family zoom call for my brunch on Easter. It is such a fun idea, and was delivered wearing bunny ears. Thank you again for the creativity and kindness. I love supporting my local community!

As we were having brunch at Raclettes, we saw people sitting next door drinking beers outside on wooden benches and that's when we discovered Fattey Beer Co.'s craft beer store and tasting room. We drank a four beer flight from their rotating beer taps (they have 12), a beer recommended from their vintage beer refrigerator and another beer from their cooler. According to their website, they have over 500 beers to chose from. I personally didn't count the beers, but based on my observation it certainly seems like there are that many available. They aim to "bring a relaxed craft beer experience to the neighborhood" and with the friendliness of the staff, the fact that they welcome dogs, the free popcorn, and ability to bring in your own food... I'd say they hit the mark. The place is a real standout among the "run of the mill" drinking establishments on Chippewa and the surrounding area. A few highlights include: - 500+ Beers to drink in or take out - Vintage fridge containing $3.00 beers (I drank a Genesee Ruby Red on recommendation) - $10.00 flights all day long - Bring in your own food - A mug club with many perks With their location in Franklin Square, choice of beers you can't get anywhere else, and their hours (open until 10pm during the weekdays and 11pm on the weeknights), they'll attract a lot of different types of people and should be a great spot to sit and relax or just pick something up to bring home.

Big fan of Ham and Fatteys in Hamburg. Caught my eye walking the street with the cozy outdoor patio. To my surprise it is their new location. Same great feel as the southtown bar but with outdoor seating just outside the Gold Dome. This will be a great summer spot. Highly recommend. Staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming walking in. Great large craft draft beer selection and a huge selection of unique canned beers (that they will cool for you in their nifty machine). Highly recommend, I will be back.

Hubs and I came for dinner with four friends a couple weeks back and though it was a splurge, I have no regrets. Everything I had was delicious. We had: Focaccia Roasted Carrots Wagyu strip Rhubarb Panna Cotta Pineapple Pavlova I also had a Freakin' Beacon mocktail. Everything was SO GOOD. That focaccia was like no other focaccia I'd ever had but was delicious; crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. The steak (med rare) was perfect to me, hubs thought it was a tiny bit too rare for him. It was super tender and easy to eat, perfect char. I couldn't eat the chimmichurri it came with as it has Thai basil (not usual in chimmichurri, but I'm allergic, and the server was very good about asking about allergies) but honestly, it didn't need it. That steak stood on its own. Both desserts were delicious, but to my surprise I think the pavlova was even better than the panna cotta (and I love panna cotta). The portions were very generous and I was pretty stuffed by the time I got home. Our portion of the bill was over $200 (hubs also had some cocktails and the steak alone was almost $90) but it was so good, we'll want to come back when we're in town for sure.

However, there was no popcorn, so they gave us some free nacho appetizers instead to share amongst everyone participating. They played the movie outside on their patio with a projector and blow up screen, which I wish it was advertised ahead of time that it was outside, so that we could be more prepared for the chilly weather. It also would have been better if they had their fire pit on and/or the space heater for those unprepared folks like us. Not your average Nachos 9/10 The corn tortilla chips were amazing by themselves. The queso, I was very surprised to taste homemade beer cheese (I didn't look at the menu before), it was really good and a little went a long way on those chips. I just wish the chips at the bottom had a teeeeny bit more. The only other topping was some shredded cheese. Salsa and sour cream were on the side, the salsa was good also.

CBW is close to five stars but not quite there yet for me…read more The outdoor space is beautiful, with a brick fireplace and nicely spaced-out seating, and I'll certainly be back to spend some time on it. I like the building overall and the split-level upstairs arcade makes it feel that you're exploring different rooms, which is entertaining, even if some of the pinball games were out of order. The cartoon-and-movie-themed wall art adds to the fun, funky vibe. I've had friendly interactions with the staff both times that I've been, and I love that they sample the beers before having you commit to a pint. My thing is that the beer is all solid, but I've never had one that's among my favorites. This is really more a description of my palate than a knock on their brewers--everything seems true-to-style and the prices are reasonable, but something's just not doing it for me. But Community Beer Works is doing a lot right, and I've only scratched the surface of the veg-friendly menu, so I'll likely be back to give some things a try. Nice dogs are welcome on the patio. Some off-street parking is available across the street.

I ended up playing several funny rounds of ad-libs with strangers which totally made the evening. I felt welcomed and comfortable, like I immediately was one of the regulars even my first time there. The beer is great and they have a ton of options including stuff on tap and in cans. Look for the tv on the wall for the list of current beers on tap; it's on the far left side of the bar just above the large front windows. My curly fries and chicken strips were perfection - think of the best possible version of those things and that's what I got here. This came with sides of BBQ sauce, blue cheese dip, and ketchup. I greatly enjoyed my pumpkin ale and would happily drink this again. I appreciate that there are so many vegan options on the menu (not my thing but it's nice to have a place to bring vegan friends!). A surprising very cool thing was the restroom. There is great art all over the walls! Check it out even if you don't need to, you won't regret it. I sat at the bar; there is another room with tables and a pool table and I think I spotted some hidden booths in the back. There are also a few outdoor tables out front. Lighting is pretty dim so if you're going to read a book, choose your seat strategically. General volume is on the louder side. Parking is on the street. I saw that they do trivia on Monday nights; there are a ton of flyers for upcoming events in the front window. Overall this was a very easy place to give five stars to.

The vegan blue cheese was good surprisingly cuz I don't care for the real thing at all. The fries were fine but the Mac n cheese had absolutely no flavor, my kids said to me that mine was better and they aren't that picky with food elsewhere unless it doesn't taste like anything. For that I'll still be back to try other things cuz I appreciate the effort in making vegan food for us vegans out there.
