Hartman's is one of my favorite places to stop by and grab a drink when I'm in the city with some friends. I highly recommend checking out Hartman's food while you're at it as well. The sweet potato hummus is not to be slept on! The charcuterie board was a little bit light on the bread so be prepared to eat with your hands but overall all cheeses were delightful. The Loganberry vodka from Hartman is incredible and I highly recommend picking it up if you get a chance. The weight staff is incredibly hard-working, but it can be hard at times to put in drinks and food orders because there are not waiters that serve the actual tables. The vibe is so fresh and clean, definitely a great place to spend some time with friends.

This is a regular stop for us when we are in Buffalo. Truly enjoy their ambiance and set up. Their cocktails are top notch and they'll always be a spot for us to go to when visiting Buffalo.

Hartman's is lovely!! Great bar, very friendly service. The ambience is excellent, they clearly have very good taste in interior decor. Very nice bathrooms, we appreciate those. Would revisit.

Great drinks-high quality and innovative. Food is meh--nothing wrong with it but nothing outstanding jumped out at us. I had a chicken sandwich with greens on the side. Hubby had a Cuban sandwich, also with greens. It is a noisy ambience with loud music in the bar area. There are also several TVs to monitor sports. Service was prompt and attentive. Liked the bottle of water left on the table.

Chicken sandwich (delish) and their version of Mac salad (which was very disappointing)

Met my friend here midweek for dinner and to catch up. It was a slightly rainy day so it was not busy. Little did we know they also had DJ Trivia on Wednesdays so it was fun to play along without actually participating. My friend ordered the spinach artichoke dip and I ordered the chicken sandwich. Sandwich was good, chicken breast was small. We both ordered the mac salad and were REALLY disappointed in it. It was shells with a mayo/sriracha mix, that's it. It was not good; neither of us liked it or ate it. We ordered a side of potato wedges instead. Chips with the dip were borderline stale, but it was very humid out so we didn't ask for new ones . It was happy hour until 7 so we were also able to enjoy a few drinks!

One of the funnest times I had when I came back to visit Buffalo. The Barrel Room Speakeasy in the back is a must try. It's a little pricey but totally worth it, you need reservations for it. All of the bartenders here are top notch and really know their stuff. Fun drinks and the vibe is perfect. Great for a date night. This place is like a reverse mullet, business in the back and party in the front. Once we came out from a relaxing elevated time in the back, it was time to PARTY. Fantastic DJ with a killer setlist. Alyssa the bartender was KILLING it on drinks and service. Delivering cold ones faster and more efficient than any other bartender I saw that weekend. Kept the party going all night. Make sure you go say hi, have a drink for me, and TIP YOUR BARTENDERS

Had a great time here for a happy hour with my coworkers. I got the icehog princess to start which is like a loganberry mule. It was great! Then I got a loganberry seltzer after which was also good. As a snack we got the pretzel bites and spinach and artichoke dip. We really like the space here. The vibe was great with the music and patio open. The staff was also friendly and the food came out quickly!

1st time coming, great drinks, great environment for a bachelorette party I hosted yesterday. Everyone loved the 'Love Potion' special cocktail of the day. The dj (Crespo) was playing all the right music. Definitely will come back.

We stopped by on a Saturday night and came for dinner and drinks. It was about 7 pm and it was quite the lively scene. There was a dj playing some great Drake, to get pumped for his upcoming concert, and 90's throwback hits. It was quite a scene and as the night went on it turned into a packed party. We were lucky to arrive when we did because the seating here is very casual, first come first serve and there aren't a ton of tables. We started off with espresso yo self and aviation cocktails which were delicious! And we decided to try a few different menu items since it was our first time trying their food. The duck fat popcorn was tasty and had the right amount of truffle salt, the duck fat def gave it a more deluxe flavor. It was the perfect amount to snack on. The sweet potato hummus was probably the best thing we had. It had perfect ratios of sweet potato and chick peas and the pepitas and candied walnuts were awesome toppings. I will order this again and again. Finally, the nachos with grilled chicken were also good. The queso was home made and there were a generous portion of toppings, chicken included. This is a beautifully designed space and you can go back and forth between Hartmans and Resurgence which is cool to get 2 spots in 1. They distill all their liquor and make some delicious high end cocktails. One of their specialties is Loganberry flavored vodka, cocktails and their own seltzer. Overall a great time and we will be back soon.

What a fantastic place to grab a nice cold drink with friends! They have a great selection of cocktails and a killer espresso martini! I had the icehog princess - loganberry vodka, lemon and ginger beer... so delicious! Bartenders were very helpful and provided great recommendations!

2 stars because: 1. My drink was good 2. Avocado toast was average Everything else about this place was absolutely horrible. The service sucked and our waitress was incredibly rude and going about as if she was hungover or tired or both. Our food literally took an hour and a half to be served to us. We asked the waitress after about an hour and our drinks were dry and she apologized and said the food would be right out. After an additional 30 minutes we asked to speak with the manager who told us the kitchen was behind because of "brunch yoga" whatever that means. Mind you 3-4 tables were served before us despite coming in after us and there didn't appear to be any hold up for them. This place is not worth the money, the wait, or the lousy service. Oh and don't get your hopes up if you wanted the yogurt parfait, we advertised online because they don't have it! I will never return to this place.

Selected this place for a happy hour with colleagues after work. This place is absolutely beautiful! The vibes are certainly there. Lots of comfortable seating. It's a hip vibe and modern vibe! The drinks are reasonably price. Furthermore, the drinks are phenomenal! No vegan item listed on the food menu. Additionally I wish service was a bit better. As a newcomer it was a bit of an overwhelming experience. Parking right in front of the building.

Drinks were alright but the service was abysmal. Employees seemed more invested in each other than the customers.

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

But tonight, tonight our first choice was closed and our second choice had an hour wait so we did a Yelp search not quite remembering that Ballyhoo was this location that I had passed over and over again. Walk in and you feel Buffalo... the waterfront dockside factory Buffalo and it's a great feeling. This ain't a wear your party dress to kind of bar but you just feel that you are going to enjoy yourself as you sit down at the bar or at the limited seating high tops or along the window side counter seats. An amazing awesome bartender who is playing a fantastic playlist of tunes you settle yourself into a place of comfort looking out at the perfectly framed General Mills plant that is busily filling Buffalo's breathable air with that comforting aroma of Cheerios! Young lady from behind the bar shares a menu and a check list of food ... sausage sandwiches ... soup ... and a few other items. Frankly you won't need more because the food is damn good ... the deep soul vitalization will start to work on you and you'll just want to stay. Get to chatting with the friendly bar keep ... always a good sign ... that music is good and your food arrives one steak and one chicken sausage sandwich both covered in yummy toppings ... chips on the side ... we indulged in LOTS OF PICKLES and based on the recommendation both ordered the black bean "chowder." Sausages were both delicious... the black bean concoction was one of those thick oh so good experiences and the pickles were special (There were lots and we brought them home.). Definitely a place to return to ... that superb barkeep makes apparently every cocktail ever created ... but a nostalgic Buffalo feel ... wondering who sat here through the years. So it was a pleasant surprise when a friend and I decided that we'd stop by. This was their first time here and admittedly I was happy because they haven't had many pleasant food experiences in Buffalo. I believe they haven't been going to the best places but that's another conversation for another day. Okay so let's dig into the experience. We were running late and arrived at approximately 9:40 pm. I was nervous that we'd either a) be turned away or b) not get the best service since it was so close to the time that they closed. Let me be the first to say that that was not the case at all. We were seated in the most perfect little nook tucked away near the door. Dimly lit but cozy for good vibes and good food. Our server Megan came over and she was truly delightful. She provided really great recommendations. It was the perfect mix of personal reccs, insight on bestsellers, and answers to our mainy questions. We ultimately settled on two pizzas, fried rice, and a buyer (not pictured). The food came out in a timely manner. The drinks were incredible and the service was undeniable. Special shoutout to Megan again for offering a one of a kind experience. Misc: There's a parking lot next door to the building never knew. Prices are a tad steep but the vibes are good.
