Mocktail time! I tried the Strawberry blonde. According to the menu made with Seedlip grove, strawberry shrubb, lime, simple and ginger beer. It had a little zing. According to our friendly bartender because of their ginger beer. Also nice: they give you a bottle of tapwater and glasses at the moment you sit down.

The Barrel room is a must do! The staff are so great at making something that matches your preferences but the menu itself has so many great choices. The drinks taste great but the presentation of it all really adds to the experience! Would highly recommend this for a fun night out!

I had a "Safeword" mocktail. It was very nice, lemony. Seedlip grove, rosemary simple, lemon. I can see this as a refreshing drink, but at $8.00, I think rather expensive. It might be slightly less expensive during Happy Hour; a draught beer is only $5.00 during the 4-7 happy hour.

Hartman's is one of my favorite places to stop by and grab a drink when I'm in the city with some friends. I highly recommend checking out Hartman's food while you're at it as well. The sweet potato hummus is not to be slept on! The charcuterie board was a little bit light on the bread so be prepared to eat with your hands but overall all cheeses were delightful. The Loganberry vodka from Hartman is incredible and I highly recommend picking it up if you get a chance. The weight staff is incredibly hard-working, but it can be hard at times to put in drinks and food orders because there are not waiters that serve the actual tables. The vibe is so fresh and clean, definitely a great place to spend some time with friends.

This is a regular stop for us when we are in Buffalo. Truly enjoy their ambiance and set up. Their cocktails are top notch and they'll always be a spot for us to go to when visiting Buffalo.

Hartman's is lovely!! Great bar, very friendly service. The ambience is excellent, they clearly have very good taste in interior decor. Very nice bathrooms, we appreciate those. Would revisit.

Great drinks-high quality and innovative. Food is meh--nothing wrong with it but nothing outstanding jumped out at us. I had a chicken sandwich with greens on the side. Hubby had a Cuban sandwich, also with greens. It is a noisy ambience with loud music in the bar area. There are also several TVs to monitor sports. Service was prompt and attentive. Liked the bottle of water left on the table.

Met my friend here midweek for dinner and to catch up. It was a slightly rainy day so it was not busy. Little did we know they also had DJ Trivia on Wednesdays so it was fun to play along without actually participating. My friend ordered the spinach artichoke dip and I ordered the chicken sandwich. Sandwich was good, chicken breast was small. We both ordered the mac salad and were REALLY disappointed in it. It was shells with a mayo/sriracha mix, that's it. It was not good; neither of us liked it or ate it. We ordered a side of potato wedges instead. Chips with the dip were borderline stale, but it was very humid out so we didn't ask for new ones . It was happy hour until 7 so we were also able to enjoy a few drinks!

One of the funnest times I had when I came back to visit Buffalo. The Barrel Room Speakeasy in the back is a must try. It's a little pricey but totally worth it, you need reservations for it. All of the bartenders here are top notch and really know their stuff. Fun drinks and the vibe is perfect. Great for a date night. This place is like a reverse mullet, business in the back and party in the front. Once we came out from a relaxing elevated time in the back, it was time to PARTY. Fantastic DJ with a killer setlist. Alyssa the bartender was KILLING it on drinks and service. Delivering cold ones faster and more efficient than any other bartender I saw that weekend. Kept the party going all night. Make sure you go say hi, have a drink for me, and TIP YOUR BARTENDERS

Had a great time here for a happy hour with my coworkers. I got the icehog princess to start which is like a loganberry mule. It was great! Then I got a loganberry seltzer after which was also good. As a snack we got the pretzel bites and spinach and artichoke dip. We really like the space here. The vibe was great with the music and patio open. The staff was also friendly and the food came out quickly!

1st time coming, great drinks, great environment for a bachelorette party I hosted yesterday. Everyone loved the 'Love Potion' special cocktail of the day. The dj (Crespo) was playing all the right music. Definitely will come back.

We stopped by on a Saturday night and came for dinner and drinks. It was about 7 pm and it was quite the lively scene. There was a dj playing some great Drake, to get pumped for his upcoming concert, and 90's throwback hits. It was quite a scene and as the night went on it turned into a packed party. We were lucky to arrive when we did because the seating here is very casual, first come first serve and there aren't a ton of tables. We started off with espresso yo self and aviation cocktails which were delicious! And we decided to try a few different menu items since it was our first time trying their food. The duck fat popcorn was tasty and had the right amount of truffle salt, the duck fat def gave it a more deluxe flavor. It was the perfect amount to snack on. The sweet potato hummus was probably the best thing we had. It had perfect ratios of sweet potato and chick peas and the pepitas and candied walnuts were awesome toppings. I will order this again and again. Finally, the nachos with grilled chicken were also good. The queso was home made and there were a generous portion of toppings, chicken included. This is a beautifully designed space and you can go back and forth between Hartmans and Resurgence which is cool to get 2 spots in 1. They distill all their liquor and make some delicious high end cocktails. One of their specialties is Loganberry flavored vodka, cocktails and their own seltzer. Overall a great time and we will be back soon.

What a fantastic place to grab a nice cold drink with friends! They have a great selection of cocktails and a killer espresso martini! I had the icehog princess - loganberry vodka, lemon and ginger beer... so delicious! Bartenders were very helpful and provided great recommendations!

We try…read moreto get together for brunch at least 4 times a year and we have yet to repeat a location - let's just say, this place now holds a top 5 place in our hearts to the point that we talked about revisiting to our top 5 locations. Starting with ambiance.......2 full sized bars with plenty of tv viewing if that is what you are in to while there. The seating area is well lit with natural light and comfortable, well spaced seating. We were greeted by our quiet, yet smiley server, Raymond. He was warm, efficient and also gave us great recommendations (coupled with personal stories as to why they were recommended). We ordered drinks (their craft cocktail menu is one of the best I have seen) and then perused the menu. We went with Raymond's recommendation to order 2 cinnamon rolls for the table (we were leary as many places whose claim to fame for having the "best" cinnamon roll, fall short). We also ordered 2 of the multigrain breakfast sandwiches, a smashburger, Brasserie breakfast sandwich, and the biscuits and gravy (highly recommended by Raymond as well). Everything was OUTSTANDING! Phrases like "seriously the combination of this breakfast sandwich with pancakes as the buns is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had." And, the cinnamon rolls!!! Raymond wasn't lying when he said they were the best. All 5 of us agreed that they were the best cinnamon rolls we have ever had, and lo and behold then had a conversation about what makes a good cinnamon roll - these check ALL of the boxes. We are still talking today about the great atmosphere, service and drinks/food at this establishment. And yes, there may STILL be talk about the cinnamon rolls. Don't sleep on this place!

First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

So it was a pleasant surprise when a friend and I decided that we'd stop by. This was their first time here and admittedly I was happy because they haven't had many pleasant food experiences in Buffalo. I believe they haven't been going to the best places but that's another conversation for another day. Okay so let's dig into the experience. We were running late and arrived at approximately 9:40 pm. I was nervous that we'd either a) be turned away or b) not get the best service since it was so close to the time that they closed. Let me be the first to say that that was not the case at all. We were seated in the most perfect little nook tucked away near the door. Dimly lit but cozy for good vibes and good food. Our server Megan came over and she was truly delightful. She provided really great recommendations. It was the perfect mix of personal reccs, insight on bestsellers, and answers to our mainy questions. We ultimately settled on two pizzas, fried rice, and a buyer (not pictured). The food came out in a timely manner. The drinks were incredible and the service was undeniable. Special shoutout to Megan again for offering a one of a kind experience. Misc: There's a parking lot next door to the building never knew. Prices are a tad steep but the vibes are good. We were looking for a spot to grab a small bite and some drinks to wind down and didn't realize just how good this spot would end up being! We weren't looking for any more food, but their menu sounded really good and if I'm in town again, I'll certainly stop in to try some of their other offerings. Regardless, I definitely recommend the pizza! They also have a really good cocktail menu. Their bar staff were all really friendly and knowledgeable. Aside from pizza, I'd make sure to stop in for a cocktail, as well. Overall, our time at Marble + Rye was short and unplanned, but it still left a great impression and made me wish I could go back a second time to explore both the cocktail and food menus further. Dim lighting, chic decor, and an intimate atmosphere make it perfect for date night or a girls night. It just feels elevated without being too stuffy. Food-wise, they've been super consistent every time I've gone. I tried frog legs for the first time here and was honestly surprised by how much I loved them, definitely better than expected. The escargot and oysters were also delicious, and the drinks have been just as solid across the board. The beef bourguignon wasn't my thing but I think that was a preference thing. I don't particularly love braised shortrib and it was a shared dish with my friend. I'm giving 5 stars because my most recent visit really stood out, the service that afternoon was amazing, and our waiter even sang happy birthday to my friend (I wish I remembered his name because he deserves the shoutout). It made the whole experience feel so special, and I'll be including a video because it was such a great moment. That said, if I'm being completely honest, I'd rate it more like a 4.5 overall. The other two times I visited, the service was good but not as attentive or friendly as this last experience.
