Had reservations for the barrel room at Hartman's, it's a little speak easy that has different drinks/ food menu from the distillery. The bartender was amazing and if we had any questions on any of the drinks he was there to answer it! If you didn't like anything on the drink menu then they would make something based off your preference. It is very dark in there but they have little lights to help see the menus. "The barrel room" speakeasy located behind the actually distillery is something truly amazing. The ambience, decorations, and lighting were on point. It has a little dark mysterious vibes while still being extremely high class. It's small and only seats maybe 20 or 30 people which is nice compared to the open space of the front. The best part about this place was the cocktails!! First of all they change the theme monthly and the month I happened to go was it's always sunny in Philadelphia which is one of my favorite shows! All the speciality cocktails were named after things from the show and my favorite being the rum ham which actually came with a small piece of ham! The bartender was amazing. She was not only attentive but extremely knowledgeable about the spirits and the drinks. I don't remember her name but she had curly hair and deserves a huge shout out. Also the sip of champagne we were given when we sat down was a super nice touch. Would recommend 10/10 read more

Hartman's is one of my favorite places to stop by and grab a drink when I'm in the city with some friends. I highly recommend checking out Hartman's food while you're at it as well. The sweet potato hummus is not to be slept on! The charcuterie board was a little bit light on the bread so be prepared to eat with your hands but overall all cheeses were delightful. The Loganberry vodka from Hartman is incredible and I highly recommend picking it up if you get a chance. The weight staff is incredibly hard-working, but it can be hard at times to put in drinks and food orders because there are not waiters that serve the actual tables. Little did we know they also had DJ Trivia on Wednesdays so it was fun to play along without actually participating. My friend ordered the spinach artichoke dip and I ordered the chicken sandwich. Sandwich was good, chicken breast was small. We both ordered the mac salad and were REALLY disappointed in it. It was shells with a mayo/sriracha mix, that's it. It was not good; neither of us liked it or ate it. We ordered a side of potato wedges instead. Chips with the dip were borderline stale, but it was very humid out so we didn't ask for new ones . There was a dj playing some great Drake, to get pumped for his upcoming concert, and 90's throwback hits. It was quite a scene and as the night went on it turned into a packed party. We were lucky to arrive when we did because the seating here is very casual, first come first serve and there aren't a ton of tables. We started off with espresso yo self and aviation cocktails which were delicious! And we decided to try a few different menu items since it was our first time trying their food. The duck fat popcorn was tasty and had the right amount of truffle salt, the duck fat def gave it a more deluxe flavor. It was the perfect amount to snack on. The sweet potato hummus was probably the best thing we had. It had perfect ratios of sweet potato and chick peas and the pepitas and candied walnuts were awesome toppings. I will order this again and again. Finally, the nachos with grilled chicken were also good. The queso was home made and there were a generous portion of toppings, chicken included. This is a beautifully designed space and you can go back and forth between Hartmans and Resurgence which is cool to get 2 spots in 1. They distill all their liquor and make some delicious high end cocktails. One of their specialties is Loganberry flavored vodka, cocktails and their own seltzer. Our bartender was quick, witty, and certainly kept us entertained and well cared for. In addition to the table water, we got some wonderful coffee in an Americano and a cappuccino both brewed with local Remedy House beans which are amazing. They use oat milk in everything as well. For the adult beverages, the bird of paradise coffee liquor with orange was perfectly executed while local thinman minkey boodle sour will pucker you up for sure! The menu for both drinks and food is awesome because it is simple while offering a solid selection. We started with the Belgian waffles which come in 3 and served with wonderful maple and a bourbon butter which I could have ate alone it was so good. Highly recommend starting or finishing your meal with these (or both, not here to judge) Orders at the table were the skillet with sourdough, the croque madam served with greens, and the ECB breakfast sandwich served with hash browns (which honestly were fantastic I could have just had those and been happy). The quality of the food speaks for its self in the freshness while the chefs bring forth the integrity of the flavours through well balanced and well thought out food. The zing of the garlic aioli on the sandwhich to the crispy texture of the skillet and merriment of the pecan smoked bacon on the croque. And the eggs. OH THE EGGS! Wow so perfectly cooked, the runny yolk will entertain your eye and tastebuds. This distillery is located next to Resurgence Brewery and across the water from Riverworks. There is a large bar with an indoor and outdoor seating area with garage-style doors that fully open to the patio. We ordered two drinks ($12.00 each) and their duck fat popcorn with truffle seasoning ($6.00). The establishment is pricey due to its focus on craft cocktails. The popcorn was very small, bag not full and not worth anywhere near $6. The cocktails were good and something I've never had before. They do have some very nice liquors and if you are okay paying top dollar for specialty cocktails, you will enjoy this distillery. With most coffee shops closing by 4pm, I've had to get creative on where to work remotely. I stumbled upon Hartman's. It's right next to my rock climbing gym, which is useful as I can grab a bite, get some work and then head on over to climb after. Wifi is strong and the place is beautiful. Although you might have a strong stink of booze on your clothes after you leave from the strong smell of distilling, it's a small price to play for such a beautiful interior and venue. They have mocktails (although not on a menu--you just tell their bartenders) and an interesting food menu. It's definitely a place that invites a date with plenty of shareable food options and a cool vibe. I had the french onion soup, which was served in a cast iron bowl (a first!), which was nice in that it kept the soup very hot. The bread and gruyere cheese was delicious, but I did find the broth to be a tad too sweet for my liking. I'll definitely come back and explore more of the menu. We opted for the bar since we were just grabbing a drink to check out the vibe. My friend ordered the bourbon and Loganberry slushies ($8) and blended them. It tasted really good. Went out to Hartman's Distilling on Saturday night with friends to celebrate a birthday. I loved the look of the place. It was a trendy, cute bar with plenty of seating and space to move around. The bar was large which left plenty of space for people to sit there while still offering places to walk up and order drinks. We did not get any food on this occasion but I've heard good things about the menu. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. They also made a great, handcrafted cocktail. Everyone in our group started with an espresso martini and were very pleased with our choice. The bartenders informed us that the espresso was freshly made and you could taste that it was a quality product. The vodka was pretty great too!! My next drink was called the "oranges & cream". It was another vodka cocktail with orange and lemon. It was frothy, a little sweet, and so refreshing. It would definitely be my drink of choice for the summer. There are so many things to love about this place, but I have to say after my first experience stopping in, the best thing about it was the really great service. I came with a couple friends and we sat at one of the tall tables next to the garage door windows. First thoughts: "ummmm CUTE!". The atmosphere and decor with the string lights over head, and chairs that bounce back a little, giving you that rocking chair feel - loved. I'd describe it as, 'industrial glam'. The room was packed, and there was a DJ so it was a little tough for us to have a conversation at times. I definitely lost my voice the next day. That said, the DJ was BUMPIN some great tunes. I think I heard Snoop Dog three times. THREE. Any time you hear Snoop in public it's a gift, so imagine my delight upon hearing the starting chords of "Drop it Like it's Hot" after having already heard "Beautiful" and "Sexual Eruption". PURE JOY. Anyway, our server (who shared that normally she was a bartender) was the bomb. We ordered our drinks and it was some time before she came back. When she came back she shared that she thought the kitchen was closed, which was disappointing cause mama was hungry and it was like 8:10pm. She told us to hang on and that she was going to check - she came back and said, they should've told her the kitchen was closing and said I could quickly put an ordered in! So I got myself a ceasar salad, spinach artichoke dip and duck fat popcorn to share. She said she wouldn't charge for the popcorn cause there was only a little left, but then they ended up making a whole fresh batch! The food was all great. It was funny eating the caesar salad cause for whatever reason they had no clean knives, so I ate it with fork and spoon - some might complain, however for my friends and I it was a great source of comedy. We had a good laugh and it was honestly super crispy and yum. The popcorn - YO. So good. Definitely worth it. And like, who doesn't love cocktails and popcorn? Speaking of cocktails, I got the Dreamcatcher and Is This Heaven? I am a gin drinker myself, so that was my main reason for choosing these two, and they did not disappoint. On Friday, March 13, pretty much the last day the Buffalo existed as it was, my co-workers and I embarked on one last epic happy hour. It started off here. As I've said in my previous review, this place has the vibes down. It is chill and sophisticated and their drinks are the real deal. Try the old fashioned. It will melt your heart, and probably rid your body of all the germs. The first round I had an old fashioned from their regular menu. On the second round, I looked up at the television screen running their specials and realized that I could get that old fashioned for half the price as the menu one, and went with that. They were both strong and wonderful. There is ample street parking, and there is a parking lot adjacent to the building. The male bartenders are not bad to look at either. read more

Go into the courtyard and there are fire pits. - Menu: Great selection of cocktails ($9-10), mocktails ($9), beer ($4-$7) - primarily in cans but there are 4 on tap, and wine ($8). A few food items like apps and sandwiches. We got the pretzels which came with about 10ish (I forgot to count) good size pretzel pieces, with seeded mustard and melted cheese for dipping. We split between two people, but this would be great to split between 4 or more people too. They were very good! - Parking is on street but there's also a parking lot around the corner. Overall - I highly recommend for the cool vibe and to try one of their cocktails. The only downside of the experience was that the music was too loud to have a conversation by the bar.
