Everyone at the store is not wearing only very knowledgeable but also very friendly. I had an issue with with my 5-6 yo laptop and the graphics card. Turns out that the graphics card is built into my motherboard, so they looked for a new one for me (as did I) and there were none to be found. They asked me about my computer uses, what kind of programs I use, etc. and recommended a new one to me that was on sale. I compared it to the "deals" on Amazon, and after another conversation with them, I learned the one on Amazon (for the same price) was using components that were a year or more older. To say I'm impressed with these folks is an understatement. Using the Yelp "service request" feature for the first time, I sent them a detailed description of the problems I'd been trying unsuccessfully to resolve for several days. The problems had ultimately ended with a recurring loop of automatic reboots and BSOD stopcodes after a failed complete reset and clean reinstall of the latest Windows 11 operating system. I have used Fateka to repair my computers in the past. I brought in my desktop to have them install an SSD that I had just cloned. Their prices are very good and they have worked on this computer before. I purchased a computer from eBay a year ago. The vendor had put together a configuration that included a Nvidia RTX 3060 which I use to play around with AI. The first issue I had had with the computer was the computer failed to post. I turned it on and it wouldn't boot. For $50.00, Fatech found a bad RAM card. It turns out that the computer I bought was a combination of old and new parts. The motherboard, CPU, and RAM were old. The case and GPU were new. I wanted to upgrade the amount of SSD in the unit so I cloned an SSD at home and brought the hold computer in to have the SSD swapped out. I couldn't find where the SSD was because the case was so crowded and the GPU and system fan covered most of the MiniITX motherboard from view. I told Vladimir that I was having issues that the computer whole stop and display a "Blue Screen of Death" from time to time. Vladimir said he thought that he case was a bit small and the cooling was not quite up to what I needed. The eBay company had closed its own their online store and I had no way to contact them. I asked about upgrades. Vladimir showed me a configuration he had in mind. It would significantly upgrade my system for about $700. I thought it might be better just to build another computer. We decided an a killer configuration with a RTX 4080 GPU, i9 CPU, 128GB RAM, water-cooled system, 1000 watt power supply -- completely assembled. The price came to about $2500.00. I had a booting issue with my surface laptop and I'd like to think I'm pretty tech savvy but after exhausting all my options of trying various solutions, I finally decided to call a local computer repair shop. I'm currently working in IT for a large gaming corporation and today one of our employees working from home in Virginia called that her PC was dead. I needed to upgrade the graphics card on my gaming rig and I have a tendency to blow up computers when I try things on my own. Fatech was the first company to give me a quote and was the most responsive. I did everything through Yelp and they even helped me select a graphics card. They even had the GPU ready, in stock! When I arrived, Vladimir wore a mask and told me I could wait while he did the upgrades. I did. He then filled me in on numerous problems he encountered while doing the upgrades (my CPU's housing had been broken, there was a dead battery on the motherboard causing BIOS to boot up after shutdowns, and he cleaned off some dust that the last computer guy missed). He installed everything in about an hour and physically showed me the hardware installed and then opened up the computer to show the PC recognize the new RAM and GPU. Awesome experience. Great service! My computer crashed during a Windows update. I tried to fix it for days myself, but nothing worked. I contacted Fatech on a Friday morning and made an appointment for that afternoon. I dropped off my computer at 3pm and was contacted later that day with the diagnosis (hard drive failure), solution and cost to repair. I picked it up Monday morning all fixed and ready to go with a new hard drive and Windows installation. They also recovered all my data that was on my hard drive, which was my main concern.
