We went to Fat Stork last night and was pleasantly surprised! I've been eyeing this place on Yelp for a long time but for some reason, I hadn't gone yet. What was I thinking? Everything was great! We had the spinach dip which was really good. I liked the homemade chips too. We also each had a side salad which featured a delicious lemon vinaigrette. For our entrees I had the veggie pasta and my date had the jambalaya pasta. Both were very very good. Great portions and a good price. The service was also excellent. My husband and I came to Fat Stork in Cooper City after searching for a good breakfast spot for a while, and this place did not disappoint. The food was absolutely incredible. The flavor, the presentation, everything! I had the chicken and waffles, you can tell the chicken was not a frozen tender. It was fresh chicken hand-battered, extremely flavorful, moist, and cooked to perfection. The hubby had the Egg Stork sandwich, which was loaded with avocado, bacon, and eggs, ham and cheese. Everything tasted super fresh, and they were very generous with their portions. The ambiance was great, and you can truly tell the chef is passionate about his food. The service was excellent our waiter Jose was very attentive. This place was fantastic, and we will definitely be making it our go-to breakfast spot. read more

Good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Service is great too. My only negative and it's a big one for me is, if you are going to charge 3% for credit card transactions, you should let people know ahead of time to let them decide how they want to pay. It was not posted on the bill, on the menu or anywhere in the restaurant. We were not made aware of this fee until after our credit card was charged. Had we known, maybe we would have paid cash. Just add that into the cost of the food and don't charge it or post it somewhere! Thats just sneaky and shady to me. read more

We found this through Yelp as we were in the area and looking for lunch one day. It was quiet inside and the service was good. My sister had the Spicy Salmon salad, which she enjoyed, but the spice kept creeping up from the salmon and it ended up being was a bit too much for her. So she couldn't finish it. I ordered the Shrimp Kabob, which came with a teriyaki/soy sauce base and a side of slaw. The shrimp kabob was good - flavorful and cooked perfectly. I didn't like the slaw, due to the pieces of cabbage being too big with not much of a dressing, so I felt like was eating a mouthful of raw cabbage. The prices were good, and we would definitely return. While I would get the kebabs again, I would also like to try some other dishes. read more

Saw this place on yelp, and seemed like a great place to visit. Came here for dinner with some friends. It's a very mom and pop type vibe, great for a casual/quiet lunch or dinner. Our servers were great! Very friendly and helpful, informed us of their specials and available desserts that weren't on the menu. My friends and I ordered the mahi mahi, salmon, and mini steak kebabs. For starters, the presentation of the food is great! The steak kebabs were cooked to perfection, the sauce tastes like a mix of barbecue and some sort of teriyaki sauce. It paired perfectly! My friends really enjoyed their dishes as well. Salmon was flavorful, and the mahi mahi tasted fresh. The jalapeño mashed potatoes were delicious! Have never had something like that before, and I was pleasantly surprised. Not much of a kick to them, but the jalapeño adds an interesting flavor. Fries were paired with a pink sauce. We ended our dinner with a caramel cake. Definitely recommend, not too sweet and paired perfectly with the ice cream. Will definitely be returning soon! read more

I saw the Fat Stork posted about on a Facebook food group and so I decided to check them out. The menu is pretty eclectic and depending on when you go determines the menu. Brunch is served Fri-Sunday. Lunch is Mon-Thursday. Dinner is every day starting at 5. There is some overlap in the menus but there's a lot of variety to try. The first visit we went for brunch. I had 2 perfectly cooked over medium eggs with potato wedges & toast. It also came with meat, however I don't eat meat so I asked for it on a separate plate for my husband. I also asked for a side of avocado. It was reasonably priced and while it could have been a little riper, it was good. I had coffee. The coffee was...well coffee. The potato wedges were perfectly cooked and nice and hot. My husband had the spicy Thai salad with chicken. He loved it. The house made dressing had amazing flavor but was a little too spicy for me, but perfect for my husband. Our second visit was today for lunch. My husband had the chicken tacos. His meal came with a choice of house salad, fries or a Caesar salad. He opted for the house salad and asked for the dressing he had last week. The house salad was your basic salad but the dressing made it delicious. He said he enjoyed the chicken tacos. I had the tuna tartar. Mine did not come with a side, which I was fine with. It came with 3 crostini's and was plenty. We ended the meal with a piece of chocolate cake. It was dense and delicious and not crazy sweet. There are no dedicated appetizers on the menu, but quite a few items that could be an appetizer. There was something for everyone and everything we have eaten so far has been fresh and delicious. The restaurant is clean and service was excellent. We now need to check them out for dinner. read more

Date night with my husband, cozy ambiance. We love the Fat Stork, the food is always over the top and super fresh. The fresh herbs add so much flavor. We started with chips and salsa it comes with guacamole ,sour cream and pickled onions. My husband had shrimp tacos, they were stuffed and delicious. I had the Stork burger, made exactly how I like it medium rare. We both had side house salad, it's light and mouthwatering. I can't say enough about the presentation of the food and service. The servers are checking on you to make sure you're happy refilling water. You can tell the food is prepared with love and care. We topped off our meal with tres leches. We have brought many friends here and it has become their favorite too! I'm so glad the Fat Stork is close to my home. read more

The Fat Stork, formerly Lunessa Cafe, is located on the south side of Griffin Road in Davie FL, just west of University.  I have been to Lunessa before so I had high expectations for the Fat Stork.  In many ways those expectations were surpassed. It has been open under this name for about two weeks from the time of this review.  And the only thing I am completely certain of is that they are still working out some of the kinks.  Especially when it comes to service.  On a Saturday morning the place was half full with two servers and they had a hard time keeping up.  There was also a language barrier which didn't help matters. The food is visually stunning, tasty and very reasonably priced.  Had the Nova Benedict with a side salad.  Fresh and flavors were perfect.  Two sides of bacon... Can't go wrong there, bacon was thick, crispy and not over cooked.  The star of my meal, and yes it was not the bacon, was the burrata salad.  It was soooo really good.  See the pics. I liked the subtle touches they made on changing the decor.  There is still the iconic mug display, but the greenery on the walls gave a much cooler vibe. We just happened to be looking for lunch in the area and found this lovely place! The decor is very cute and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even decorated a bit for the holidays. I thought the mug station was adorable as well. Super easy to join the waitlist on Yelp, but also we didn't need to really as we were seated right away. I was SO happy with my bagels sandwich and the house potato wedges. It was devoured so fast, I barely blinked. Salmon was fresh and the wedges had a great zesty seasoning. My bf liked his BLT buy definitely would come back to have the bagels sandwich. He also enjoyed the house potato wedges. Can't wait to go back to the some eggs benedicts for breakfast! read more

I came from Florida west coast to see a show at Hard Rock and was looking for a place to eat outside of the venue. I came across this gem of a place by chance and have now found a place I will frequent when I come to see shows. First, I'm a transplant from California, and now living on the west coast of Florida. I have been greatly disappointed by the lack of good quality restaurants since we've moved here. Those few that were decent cost a mint. Jose was our server. Great guy! Right off the bat he told us of the specials for the night. We decided to go with his recommendations. The every day menu offered some tantalizing options, covering a number of different flavor profiles...even an Indian dish I think. Since I am always looking for that "special" place, I went with nights special...braised short ribs. My wife went with the other night special...lobster ravioli w shrimp sauce. From the start, everything was right on spot. The rib offering was outta this world, fall off the bone good. It also could feed three people. Sides were jalapeno whipped potatoes and a salad. All offerings were top shelf. But my goodness, those ribs...I will do the two hour drive just for that. It gets even better...... My wife had the lobster ravioli. Large pillows perfectly al dente and flavorful with lots of lobster. The sauce was to die for! Seemed like a vodka type of sauce. Thick and creamy with LOTs of bay shrimp. Next time I'm there, I will ask if I can just buy a quart of this. It would go great over some linguini as well. Portions. Come hungry. Jose told us we could share the ribs. In my experience, that usually leaves us a little short. Jose was not kidding. My wife shared my ribs with me and we took two ribs home for lunch. With a healthy portion of very tasty whipped potatoes and a salad, this really is a two, maybe three person meal. No hyperbole. The ravioli was the same. We ended up eating about a third of it. Had some for a late night snack, and now finishing it up for lunch. Price. For all of this high quality food (I'm not talking about some posh, ,black tie type of food) intended to send it's patrons home full with a doggy bag, price is very good. Not just reasonable, but good. With two glasses of wine, it all came in just over 100 bucks. This is one of the best local, neighborhood restaurants that I have come across in a looooong time. The locals should consider themselves lucky and I hope they frequent this gem as much as possible. Excellent, well priced eateries are more and more difficult to find these days. So keep this place in your hearts. And did I mention Jose...he will take good care of you, so take care of him. He deserves it! read more

I found this spot when searching for new local places to try and I was excited because I never would've imagined a spot like this in Davie! From the outside it doesn't look like much but once you walk inside it is very decorative and looks to be a great place. I ordered the chicken tacos and the were phenomenal. They had a ton of toppings in them and tasted delicious. They also came with seasoned fries which really hit the spot. My only wish is that they had some chips and salsa served to the table to really give it a full taco vibe. Or even chips as an option to serve with tacos and some salsas to add to it. That's my preference when I am having tacos though. If I was in the area I would definitely go back and bring others. This place just opened near my house and I wanted to try it! I came in around 8am when they open. I was greeted by the server to sit anywhere. When I walked in, this place was clean, and had a nice atmosphere with all of the decorations. This place is spacious and very nice. I ordered the Nova Benedict and it was good! Egg was just perfecto! This was $12 and I also ordered a side of Parmesan truffle fries and that was $7 as well as a cup of coffee. You'll have to eat them fast because it doesn't taste the same when it's cold! I definitely enjoyed this breakfast place and will be back! Finally had the opportunity to stop in and check this place out. From the moment you walk in you are warmly greeted and the attention the wait staff gave was on point. Waiter was amazing, suggested on items that were specials that were not on the menu. We decided on the picaña for two (shareable) with jalapeño mashed and truffle fries which were all very good! We came here on a whim after needing a change from the usual places we go to and will definitely come back over and over again.. we went at 7 o'clock on Sunday night and the restaurant was nicely busy, quality food, good ambience, and good people. Fat Stork is a small restaurant located in a plaza which I drive by all the time on Griffin Rd so it was nice to experience a place I have never been to. The truffle fries are amazing, I love me some truffle fries!!! I had that with scrambled eggs, sausage, toast - the typical breakfast. Interesting enough that Fat Stork is owned by 2 Ukrainians. Went here with a few friends for brunch and had an amazing time with them. I decided to have a bagel with lox and two poached eggs. I didn't like the lox personally, couldn't tell you what was wrong with it though. I also had two beers, which can never be a negative. I tried my wife's bacon, which was good; nice and salty. Our server was very attentive and helpful; making sure that my wife's situation with her dish was taken care of. Just tried this place for the first time and loved it so much! Our server Jose S. Was super polite and attentive and had great recommendations! Me and my husband both got burgers which were huge and perfectly cooked. The fries are an absolute stand out! So when he says it's great, he means the meat and quality is great. Not easy to get a thumbs up on a burger from him, lol. He had the mashed potato side and really enjoyed that as well. We visited around noon on a Sunday and the place was packed, everyone seemed to be enjoying their mimosas and sangrias. Their wait staff was limited and they told us that the service would be slow, so we knew what to expect. The food made everything worth it. The pancakes were fluffy and airy and amazing...the Nutella Waffle was a crowd pleaser, and for those that preferred lunch, the hamburger was insane. Came on a Sunday morning for breakfast. I had a reservation, but was not necessary, however it got super busy about 10am. They have a cute but casual vibe. The service could be better as they did lack follow up which our server apologized for it. Now the food was delicious. I was able to order from the brunch menu even though it was about 9:30-10 when I came in. I had the huevos rancheros which were packed with flavor and I would definitely recommend. My mom ordered the ham and cheese omelette and she added tomato and avocado to it. She loved the omelette, but mentioned that her toast was cold and it was only one slice of bread. The side of grits was very good. We also order a Belgium waffle which was pretty basic. We enjoyed ourselves and I would come back to try the lunch or dinner menu. read more

I haven't been able to give many restaurants in this area five stars, so I'm very happy to be able to do that for that stork as they definitely earned it. This is a small restaurant in an older plaza that can accommodate parties of, I'd say six to eight at most. The food was so freaking delicious. I got the steak tacos and was blown away by the tremendous flavor from steak, sauce and awesome addition of pickled red onion. The tortillas were lightly grilled and gave it that little bit of toasty delightfulness. My partner got the stork Burger and said that it just kept getting better and better the more bites he took. I will say, both dishes were very messy so make sure you come in a shirt that you may not mind getting a little dirty. Also, the kitchen was extremely fast which worked out for us as we needed to be out of the restaurant within 45 minutes and we were out within 35 minutes. I hate to say anything negative about this place because I think the food was absolutely exceptional, same with the staff, however there was one thing that was a little inconvenient. This being in an older plaza, the AC wasn't keeping up with the hot summer heat at 4:00 p.m. and it was a little uncomfortable even inside the restaurant. They also seem to have older toilets and request that you do not flush your toilet paper. This is a little odd and would be pretty uncomfortable if you needed to go more than just number one. Overall, definitely worth a visit to taste this amazing menu, just maybe come later in the afternoon when it's not so hot. read more
