They charged me for the full service oil change, then for the filter (supposed to be included), then they charged me for the synthetic oil they put in (supposed to be included), then $40 for a "Full Synthetic Upcharge", plus disposal, and removal of the skid plate.

I appreciated the provision of a nice loaner car, with no hassle getting it. I booked my appointment the day before and drove in early next morning, cautiously, with an engine overheat warning "pull over in safe place" flashing on my dash. They knew this. I arrived opening time 8am. No one contacted me the entire day(!) with a diagnosis/ cost estimate or update of any kind; I was not aware my car would be kept overnight. At 4:50pm, ten minutes before close, I telephoned and was told $2,400(!), it might take 3 days/ 2 nights in the shop. I asked for a detailed estimate and for the second time, gave my email. Still, an estimate was not sent.... That cost estimate was high compared to other mechanics. Standard customer service for an early morning "drop-off" (advance appt.): contact customer by 3pm that day, explain repair, provide a cost estimate for approval. Start work right away, priority to finish if a second day. That did not happen. Nobody seemed to care if it did. For a $200 repair, no big deal- but for $2,000/ 3 days in the shop, IT MATTERS. PRO A loaner car while being repaired repaired with OEM car parts skilled diagnosis of Toyota 24month/ 24,000 mile parts warranty CON left me hanging on diagnosis, repair cost no written description/estimate provided high price compared to competition (corrected at the end) no apology for dropping the ball on service In the end, the actual charge was $1,821.97 which was in line with local estimates, considering the use of OEM parts. I appreciated that adjustment. And it appears they did quality work. Time will tell. Will I go back? Probably not. Lacked valuing me as a high-dollar customer; too much time and drama.

Extremely frustrating experience -- I would not recommend this location…read more I initially showed up for a state inspection and was told it would be about a 45-minute wait. That was fine, I was willing to wait. What I found ridiculous, however, was being told they don't allow drop-offs, despite the fact that I work within walking distance of the shop. Another thing that really bothered me was the inspector giving "constructive criticism", if you can call it that, to another younger coworker while in front of clients. That is just not professional. Next, when they finally got to my car for inspection, apparently while pulling my car forward, the brakes made a light squeaking noise. I was then pulled aside and told that this was an automatic inspection failure as it meant they were low. The inspector then tried to upsell me on brakes and when I questioned if they were actually low or if it was dirt, the inspector informed me that she was not obligated to actually inspect the brakes underneath the car to determine whether they were worn, low, or simply making noise from dirt/debris on the rotor. After waiting around 30 minutes, I was essentially being told I needed brakes based on the fact that they squeaked once. I drove the car around the lot afterward and couldn't get them to squeak again. At that point, it felt less like a legitimate inspection and more like an attempt to sell me a brake job. I wasn't willing to pay for something based on that kind of diagnosis, so I left. There was also a separate issue involving my wife. She called ahead and was told that they could take her in and the inspector would be there, she said 30 minutes but arrived roughly 15 minutes later, only to be told that "the inspector had already left". So apparently the information given over the phone isn't particularly reliable either. Overall, this was a frustrating and unprofessional experience from start to finish. Between the inconsistent communication, the treatment of customers, and the way the inspection was handled, I wouldn't trust this location with my vehicle.
