I've been told by other shops how I need 10 things done, bring it into Tom and he explains everything and why some things were not needed. He's always looking to help me save my money so that its not wasted on the unnecessary and has been successful in figuring out problems the dealership couldn't figure out. When I've bought a new (used) car, he let me know what fails on it a lot and what to look out for (a couple years later the thing he said would go, did in fact go, and it was great I knew to keep watching it)! His daughter takes a bit of getting used to in the front office, but has improved over the last year, so for those that were turned off for that reason, its improved!

Found this location thru community Facebook. We were new to the area and needed service for our…read moreteens car. We were able to drop off her car and received a call promptly regarding the issue. The next day the car was ready. Quick COVID note- the indoor waiting area is closed, call the number at the door and someone will come out to assist. When I picked up the car, my teen was with me. I was offered a student discount which was unexpected and great! The interaction was great and I have found my new mechanic. Great customer service and transparent with car needs.

Reasonable price, great owner, and nice location…read more Came in for an oil change and to track down the cause of a recurring stall issue with my Volkswagen Tiguan. The mechanic listened, asked good follow-up questions, made sure he understood the problem before drawing any conclusions, and then diagnosed it cleanly. The part arrived within the window he quoted (2-3 hours), was installed without fuss, and the final bill was reasonable. What stood out as much as the technical work: he flagged a slow coolant leak and a minor oil leak -- this is an older car, so neither was a shock -- but there was no pressure to pile on services. He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage. That said, I am a big fan of this establishment and will be using them for repairs in the future (apparently sooner than I want :) Bonus: he pointed me to a wonderful Indian place across the street, Biryani, which I'd highly recommend if you have time to kill while your car is being worked on.

I ended up needing more work done and while it was expensive as cars are it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Gia the manager was also just pleasant to talk to and very communicative overall. She even offered to let me come around the desk to type in my credit card number for privacy which I felt was a thoughtful gesture. Overall my experience was great and my car feels better! Carroll's was recommended to me by an acquaintance who used to be a mechanic in a different area, and knew that Carroll's had a good reputation. I was able to easily schedule an appointment online for the following week. In the reservation I was able to type out exactly what I thought my auto problem was and how I would like it addressed. I received an email confirmation from the office with a personalized acknowledgement of my reservation. I had a question prior to my appointment which was politely answered by _____ at the front desk. The office had plastic guards up at the check in desks as well as social distancing markers on the floor. Dennis checked me in and confirmed what work and inspections were to be done on the car, and let me know that I would be contacted after it was inspected and how I would like to proceed. Only had to wait about 90 minutes later the inspection was done. I received an email notification including a link to Caroll's site which broke down what parts were suggested to be replaced, why the need to replace them, what those parts specifically do, and the severity of how strongly they were recommended to be replaced. I hadn't seen something like this before and it was very cool. Also very helpful to use for reference in the future. Shortly after Dennis at the front desk called me and broke down what was recommended to be fixed and at what price including labor. A very positive experience across the board. Thank you Carroll's.
