I was informed that this Jiffy Lube location at 400 Weston Pkwy, Cary, NC no longer performs oil changes with conventional motor oil. I was, of course, informed of this after having already waited 30 minutes. Judging from the exceptionally poor reviews, I'm not sure if I was getting swindled or not. I wish I could rate this business lower but unfortunately I can only leave 1 star. I came in for a regular oil change, nothing more nothing less. Waited two hours (there was one car in front of me for an oil change) and when my car was next up they moved someone in front of me who had just pulled up. This place doesn't take appointments, so they just totally passed me up. And of course, they tried to charge me for a bunch of bs, windshield wipers, cabin filters the usual nonsense. I said "I don't want anything at all except an oil change" and naturally as the snake oil salesman that they are they tried up charging me with stuff I never asked for. Next time I think I'll just let my oil turn to paste before I waste another second in this place. $200 for an oil change. Oil handprints all over the car; outside were they leaned on it to check air pressure, inside panel of the driver's door. No paper floor mats or plastic on the seat, just make the customer have to clean up after them. Stay as far away from this place as you can. read more

None of the workers here are wearing a mask while working on or inside your car. I saw a customer confront them about this and they did not put back on the mask or apologize. There's absolutely no excuse for this and it's really disrespectful. One employee was even holding a cigarette in his hand waiting to light it up, just walking in and out of the shop. read more

A Jiffy Lube is a Jiffy Lube, right? Well not exactly. I stopped in this location one Saturday and was pleasantly surprised by the warm reception and good customer service. Everything went as it normally does. I pulled up, was asked about my service, escorted to the waiting room and waited. When it was time to pay, I attempted to use a coupon. I didn't realize the coupon wasn't valid for that location. However the person who was helping me offered to assist me in locating a coupon that was redeemable there. I don't trust dealers very much so I decided to try out jiffy lube to get my oil changed. What I like about Jiffy Lube is I can watch them work. The techs are not hidden back in some garage where you can't see what they're doing. The place is clean and well kept, they have coffee and a soda machine along with a TV in the waiting room. They're open on weekends which is a huge plus to me, this way I can swing by on Sunday and have my oil changed and not have to take time from work. They have all your manufacturer schedules so you know what to do when and you can get in and out with out an appointment. I've had my inspections, oil changes and tire rotations done here and never had an issue. read more

Fast service -- no longer than 15 minutes. Clean lobby with a decent amount of seating, plentiful magazines, hot coffee, and a TV. I love being able to use the "$10 Off" coupons for my oil changes (they charge $1 for the coupon book). Employees were super pleasant and didn't try to press me too hard to pay for anything extra (they did ask about the state of my wiper blades -- and they're perfectly fine -- so that was a big "no" to an unnecessary charge). They did recommend I get my radiator flushed in my next visit (as they did two visits before), but my dad says that's unnecessary. The other Jiffy Lube I've been to has tried to upsell me on more expensive oil, but this one didn't. All and all, decent place and great service! read more

This is by far the best Jiffy Lube I've been to. Everyone is so courteous, their customer service is something I'm always surprised by given that they are an auto shop. I go there for oil changes, replacing tires, and when anything is wrong with my car. They know what they're doing and they are very fast and diligent to get it done the way the customer wants. Brought my suv in for an oil change and a tire rotation. Took a bit longer than usual but not particularly annoying. Fairly nice staff. Returned to my place of work, looked down and a lug but had fallen off, one of the lug lock nuts. On another tire a lug lock wasn't even placed on it. Shift workmanship. I returned and was greeted by someone that was not there before, a young man named Dylan who was confrontational and rude when I asked if they could additionally check the oil change to make sure it was done properly. They never pulled the car into the bay, apparently doing the lug but change in the Parking lot. As he pulled through he jammed on the brakes jerking the car smirking the whole time. When I asked for the manager the assistant manager could not explain why it was necessary for his employee to intentionally jerk the car, forward 5 times, put it into reverse and jerk the car forward. Further I watched closely and never saw them heck the cars oil. Sadly disappointed, I would avoid this location at all costs, not only was it subpar workmanship, when I returned I was treated poorly, forced to spend another 45 min of my time to get their issue resolved, and forced to endure snide comments, rude behavior, and mistreatment to my car. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube for a quick oil change, since the Mr. Tire in the same shopping center had an hour and a half wait and I didn't have that much time to spare. Luckily, there were not any cars ahead of me, so I did not have to wait long. Their waiting area also has the perks of a TV, coffee and free wifi. While the service I received was great, it was way more expensive than what it would have been at Mr. Tire... which is not what I was expecting. Not to mention that Jiffy Lube charges an additional $20 for a tire rotation, but at Mr. Tire they include it for free with the oil change. I could have left and decided to wait it out at Mr. Tire, but I was just ready to get on with my day. One thing that I really did appreciate during my visit was that one of the guys noticed how squeaky my door was and made the extra effort to lubricate it with some WD40. So yet again, their service was excellent. My only complaint is the surprising price difference between them and Mr. Tire. read more

In early January, I noticed very large spots of oil along my driveway and garage. Fearing I would lose all of my oil before I could get to a Toyota dealership, I rushed to the nearby Jiffy Lube at Weston Pkwy and Harrison. They found a hole in my oil hose and discussed that they would need to drive to an auto parts store and pick up a new oil hose to install. That was definitely reasonable, though it took about 1 1/2 hours. When the job was completed, they said I was good to go and should have no more issues. A couple of weeks later, I decided to visit the Toyota dealership to have them check out the work. They showed me the improper hose (and improper clamp) that was enlarged and about to burst. That could have cost me an engine. Thank God I had stopped there to check it out. I don't fault Jiffy Lube for trying to stop my massive oil leak. I DO think they should have counseled me to immediately visit a mechanic to do the job properly. They really don't have the expertise to do ANY mechanical work. We have had other issues with simple oil changes over the years with them, so will not visit Jiffy Lube again. read more

I usually come to this location because they are typically courteous and quick. Came in today to get my alternator changed and was told it would take about an hour and a half. I've been here for two hours and as best I can tell, all they've done is open up my hood. The males are running around flirting with a female employee and haven't touched my car in well over an hour. Several people have been seen to and taken care of while I've been waiting. No one is working on my car at all. I highly recommend avoiding this location at all costs. read more

They informed me ahead of time that there was going to be an extra 10 dollar charge for the inspection because of my window tint. At check out I was given a coupon book for there other services. Brought my car in to be inspected. I've had it for a few years, this is the first time I've had it inspected here. Drop-off went fine, they told me 15 minutes. 25 minutes later, I come back, they are just finishing. Okay, no big deal. I go to pay, and get hit with $10 for window tint fee. I've never been charged this before as my windows were factory tint. I point this out, and the person ringing me up argues with me and insinuates that I am trying to break the law. I ask if there's anything he can do, knowing that inspection stations can charge _up to_ the specified amounts, and he again acts like I'm trying to do something illegal! The response when I pointed out I've never been charged that before is "Well, they were doing it wrong and breaking the law." If anything, the law says they need to do that part of the inspection. It doesn't require them to charge $10 for 30 seconds' work. They could've been sympathetic and offered to help make it right, but it was easier to let me leave angry. The whole thing reminded me why I stopped getting oil changes done at JL. read more

I've always enjoyed coming to this Jiffy Lube. Generally friendly staff who do a very thorough job of inspecting your vehicle. Waiting room is pleasant and they always offer coffee, the day's paper and the ability to watch TV while you wait. They offer the coupon book after your first visit with plenty of coupons to use when you come back. Their prices are generally lower than most and if you address price as a concern over maintenance they may be able to help lower the costs. read more

They are pretty fast with oil changes. I waiting about 20 minutes and they changed my oil and cleaned my windows for no extra charge. I used a coupon that was posted on the website and they gave me a coupon book when I checked out that had additional coupons that I could use next time. It's expensive to get your oil changed. I use synthetic oil, so every penny I can save on an oil change makes me happy! The service technicians are also friendly. I would definitely go back in the future. read more

This place is a trap, you are better off going anywhere else, literally anywhere else. Went for an oil change and was told everything went great, have a great day. Left and not even half a mile in I heard a strange noise, and pulled over to see what it was, and my skid plate was not attached properly and dragging!!! So I go back because I didn't know what was wrong with it I pull in and the guy says I heard you a block away!!! So the guy said we will get that taken care of, have a seat inside. They come get me, again, everything is good have a great day. Get in my car and start to pull away, car in drive and all, and Lonnie runs over to tell me that my skid plate is in my trunk... Wait, what. So I ask the important questions, apparently the skid plate only had a few screws, but I have yet to have an issue with car since I got it 6 months ago. I was told they would order me a new plate and would call me when its in and they would pay for it.....ok cool. My fiance called today to check on the part, and lied to him saying they told me the first time I left, that they never agreed to order the part, etc. They said that I lied about everything. So now I have a skid plate with 0 screws, but they offered to do the labor for free. you couldn't pay me to go back Awful, terrible. Literally go anywhere else, anywhere. read more

Been to a jiffy lube before just not this one. I am usually not a fan of these places but I really needed an oil change and this was close to my place. They take your car as soon as tou get there and offer coffee or water while you wait. I stopped in and it only took about 20 maybe 30 mins for them to complete the oil change. They did ask me about certain filters they recommended changing but they did not try to pressure me into it like some jiffy lube places will. Overall they did a nice ,quick job. read more

I am NOT a fan of jiffy lube because they are natorious for over charging, saying you need things that you don't and not doing the work you pay for. I came here because my wife insisted that they were great during her last oil change. 1. They tried to charge me $80 for JUST oil. They never asked me about the oil, just immediately added the most expensive that they had. 2. When i had them pull up what my wife got the previous time, they said that she had never gotten an oil change there. Then said that they just topped her off. She has a reciept showing an oil change. 3. they ended up not doing the tire rotation i asked for. The guy said it wasnt on the ticket, the other guy said he put it on there. 4. Discovered that when my wife had the "top off", they used the wrong oil. I didnt pay for anything, in the end. 5. They tried to charge another woman $40 for a $12 air filter that she had replaced at auto zone a week earlier. Proceed with caution. read more

I had an oil change and state inspection 2 weeks ago at this location. I was happy with the service at the time. However, two weeks later I am sitting in an NTB 4 hours from home with an unexpected need for new brakes. Brakes are required in the inspection, and mine are worn completely down, and were certainly unacceptable two weeks ago. This location obviously does not care about your safety. read more

I went for a state inspection for my vehicle at this location on Sept 24, 2015 since it is near to my office. This was my first ever inspection since my car is new. I called up before going and I was told that it would take only 15 mins and since my car is new it would only involve safety inspection. When I reached there, I was asked to wait in the waiting room for about 35 mins. After the inspection was done, the lady called me up to the reception for payment. She was not polite at all. When I saw the bill, it was $10 more. They had charged $10 as tint test fee. This was not told to me before they took my car for inspection. Since it was my first inspection I was not aware for this fee. When I asked what does that test mean, she was very rude and was not willing to answer. I asked again and then she said it is for verifying that tint is correct. My point is this should have been told to me before starting with the inspection. Overall I wasn't happy with the treatment I received at this Jiffy Lube location. I don't think I am ever going to visit this location again and would be suggesting my friends and colleagues not to go there either. read more
