Our cars include a 1995 Corvette, 2018 Jeep Renegade, 2012 GMC Adacia, and a 2016 Ford Escape. Previous cars have included a 1995 Toyota Carola and one or two others I can't recall. Steve is usually the person I work with, and he has always been fantastic to deal with. After picking up car, we broke down less than a block away and when we returned to the shop, we saw them lock the door and act like they were closed. I left numerous messages and didn't hear from them, until they discovered I cancelled the payment. Then they slandered me with lies on their Facebook business page (what kind of business handles a customer dispute like this), that my lawyer had to send him a threatening letter. They decided that all four tires needed to be replaced, plus a couple other things, and quoted over a thousand dollars (!!!). I said how about you patch the flat tire and I'll come pick it up- which they refused (!!!- they professed deep concern about our "safety" lol). Since it was now mid-afternoon the day before Independence Day, I scrambled to find some other place to tow it; Mavis gets much better reviews and stays open until 8:30 pm, so they fit the bill. It cost me $140 to tow it on my own dime (AAA will only tow once per "incident" ugh), but then they patched the tire no problem for $32. The tires are fine: no "dry rot" as claimed at AAA. I just wish we'd had the good sense to take it to Mavis in the first place!!!
