Ed at the High House Road O'Reilly Auto Parts truly came to the rescue!…read moreI initially stopped in because the tail lights on my husband's car wouldn't turn off after parking and removing the key. Ed quickly diagnosed the issue and found the exact grommet I needed--problem solved, or so I thought. When I went to leave, my own car wouldn't start. Jumping the battery didn't work, and Ed suggested it might be a faulty starter (which turned out to be exactly right). At that point I was pretty frazzled with two cars out of commission, but Ed stayed calm, kind, and incredibly helpful. He let me leave my car overnight and even suggested options for getting home. Thanks to him, I was able to Uber home, fix my husband's car, and deal with my own car the next day (which was indeed diagnosed with a bad starter). Ed's knowledge, patience, and willingness to go above and beyond made a stressful situation so much easier. Exceptional customer service!

Huge Thanks to Ed!…read more What a day, what a day! What started as a quick stop for gas in Cary turned into a full-on car emergency when our vehicle refused to start. After a kind couple's attempt to jump the car didn't work, we were feeling pretty stuck--until we realized we were literally across the street from an O'Reilly Auto Parts. I called the store, and that's when Ed became our hero of the night. Without hesitation, he walked across the street with a jumper and got our car running again. And he didn't stop there! We headed over to the shop, bought a new battery, and Ed even installed it for us right then and there. Ed was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind--exactly the kind of person you hope to run into when your car dies and you're stuck with your plans derailed. I can't thank him enough. He turned a stressful night into a reminder that good people still exist. If you ever need car help in Cary, O'Reilly's is the place to go--and Ed is the guy you want helping you out. Absolute legend!

There are two things that I cannot seem to fork over to pay a mechanic to do; changing my air…read morefilter or changing out my windshield wipers. My stepdad is a mechanic and really likes NAPA so when I needed a new air filter and cabin filter, I thought of this place. Well, it was a good thing that I checked on their website for the store hours before heading over because they close a lot earlier than the other auto parts stores (6pm M-F and 4pm Sat). I was not in a rush to get the parts but it is something important to keep in mind. The NAPA store is small in comparison to their competitors but I got exactly what I needed and it was actually a few bucks cheaper than their competitors. It was also pretty cool to hear that the guy checking out at the register next to me had put in an order that morning for a part and it was there by the afternoon for him to pickup. I have generally had a good experience at any auto parts store I have been to (specifically auto parts stores, not tire or mechanic shops) and I don't necessarily have a preference. I like that NAPA had been longstanding in this industry and has been around since 1925. In addition, I believe they specialize in finding the exact part you need verses one that could be universal. Even just for my air filter, the salesman came out to my car to check my engine size. I will continue to go to NAPA unless I have an urgent need and they are closed.

Johnson Genesis of Cary is engaged in a common scheme used in car sales know as "yo-yo financing"…read moreor "bait and switch financing", This scheme is an attempt to trap the buyer into using their high interest loan offered at the dealership. The car loan I obtained from my credit union had a much lower interest rate than the one offered at Johnson Genesis of Cary. I secured a low interest car loan from my credit union and my credit union sent the check to Genesis of Cary via FedEx. I was subsequently informed by the salesman that the check could not be located. After a very heated phone conversation with the salesman and a complaint email to Genesis Concierge Services the check was miraculously "found". The excuse for the "lost" check was that FedEx delivered the check to Johnson Maserati of Cary, an affiliate dealership next door. The FedEx mailing label clearly indicated the delivery address as Johnson Genesis of Cary with a street number of 5000 not 5020 which is the street number of the Maserati affiliate dealership. My experience with Johnson Genesis of Cary has been horrendously bad. Explanation of the scam...Dealer "check never received" claim: False assertion that outside bank's mailed payment (valid tender for vehicle) was not delivered. Used to manufacture "non-payment" crisis, renege on outside financing deal, and coerce buyer into dealer financing at inflated rate (for dealer kickback/reserve).
