For when you wish you were in Clinton Hill but instead find yourself across the street from the brutalist AT&T Long Lines Building, this sister wine bar of Atera is your answer. Farra's cuisine is best described as postmodern - the raspberry mousse is evocative yet formless, and it had an excellent juxtaposition of temperatures. We enjoyed the burrata and bread basket, which features a nice variety of crisps, garlic bread, and a so-called "everything profiterole," functionally the same as a bagel bite. The staff could be pretentious at an establishment like this, but instead they are approachable, making for an eminently pleasant place to grab a bar stool after work.

I had dinner at Farra last Friday, when I was in New York for the weekend. My reservation was very early (because I had a play at 7:30), so the restaurant was all but empty (although it started to fill up as I was leaving). This worked in my favor, because it meant I got to talk to the staff throughout the meal - about the food, the restaurant, wine, where they are from. It made a solo dinner extra special. The restaurant is associated with Altera just down the street (the other blue awning), and the staff and the kitchens are shared. Farra is tiny, but that means you can see dishes being prepared from pretty much every seat in the restaurant. I sat at the bar, a perfect seat for watching the food prepared and chatting with their wonderful, friendly servers and chefs. The experience alone was five stars, but the food and wine were also spectacular. I started with an off-menu special: Yellowfin Tuna Tartare with Avocado, Chili Aioli, and Citrus Ponzu, which was delicious. Then - Hamachi Crudo, Cantaloupe, Strawberry, Almond - delicious. Then - Rice, Scallop, Egg Yolk, Trout Roe - delicious. Seeing a pattern? Everything I ate was delicious. I wish I'd room for a dessert, but they did bring me a chocolate truffle with the bill, which was a great ending to the meal. I trusted the server at the bar to help me pick two different white wines that went well with the dishes I ordered, and I loved both. I loved every second of this dinner. I'll definitely be back for another dinner soon!

Intimate space with great food! I went on a date to Farra and I did not do my research before hand, and I loved it! It is a very small place but the music, lighting, everything was great. The staff was really nice recommending must order dishes and guiding through the extensive wine offers. I had the pleasure of trying the burrata, hamachi, ravioli and Branzino and I it was incredible. The only dish that did not do it for me was the burrata, something about the beats was not right. I loved, loved, loved the ravioli which had flavors unlike anything I have tried before with more of an asian inspired broth which was surprising, would definitely order again. I really want to go back and try the tartar as well as the scallop rice!

Obsessed!! I love contemporary cooking, clean plating, modern vibes and Farra checks all my boxes This is now one of my fav spots in the city. Extensive wine list available by both glass and bottle, making it the perfect spot for any occasion. The ravioli is less like pasta and more like shrimp dumplings. It's served in savory miso bouillon that makes it taste even more familiar. I wouldn't order again bc it feels expensive for dumplings but I would still try on your first visit (it's their signature). Salmon tartare is good but not too special and the nori wraps get kinda soggy so choose sth else. My must order is the rice bowl. Just stunning There are chunks of scallop hidden and bits of crispy rice mixed throughout, topped with trout roe. It is FULL of umami and the textures are super exciting. You get the pop of roe with the crunch of rice, layered together effortlessly. Highly recommend the chocolate tuile for dessert Layers of crunchy tuile with hazelnut and coffee flavored cream in between. The slight hints of bitterness brings out the sweetness perfectly. Shrimp Ravioli $32 Rice with scallop and trout roe $34* Salmon Tartare $19 Chocolate Tuile $15* 뉴욕에 갈때마다 들릴것같은 Farra.

This place really exceeded my expectations - great quality of food and service from this cute little wine bar! My husband and I called an audible and wanted to do an early dinner (530pm) and the staff here were super accommodating and allowed us to walk in without issue. We really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered; even the bread basket + butter were great! My favorites were the burrata salad hamachi crudo, and miso chocolate bon bons. The shrimp ravioli was also good, but we were stuffed by the time that came out so couldn't fully enjoy it. The foie gras mousse (not pictured) was also good, but we felt there was too much of it in one serving and for the amount of brioche we were provided. I'd imagine this place would also be a great place to host a private event, like a holiday or engagement party. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would recommend this place to others! :)

Farra is a small wine bar in Tribeca and although we didn't get anything alcohol related, I thought the service and food was excellent albeit expensive. Plates are on the smaller size but everything was delicious. I would come back again but because NYC has so much dining options, I wouldn't be running back. The bread (yes not free) was actually really good. It comes out fresh and warm with this butter sour cream type spread and if I could, I would eat bread alone all night. Hamachi Crudo - you can definitely taste the freshness and quality of the fish here. I enjoyed it along with the strawberries and cucumbers. It was refreshing. Burrata - this one was pineapple I believe. this was a combination I haven't had before so it was definitely interesting and delicious although nothing super exciting. Rice with scallop and roe - I was looking forward to this. This dish is definitely decadent but it was a bit salty for me. Shrimp ravioli - my favorite of the night and the reason I would go back to Farra. This ravioli is delicious with a light broth that doesn't overpower the shrimp filling. So good! And beautiful to look at. Chocolate tuile - beautiful but nothing exciting. Not the best dessert I had

Intimate space, great food. The Comte with truffle, apple butter, and rye was a great way to start the meal -- each of the flavors shone through without overpowering the others. Shrimp ravioli came with a very good broth. The highlight was the scallop rice; the rice was just the right amount of crispy, the scallops were rich, and the brothy sauce was delicious. Highly recommend. Miso chocolate bon bons were also great; not to sweet, with a hint of savoriness that paired very well with the dark chocolate. Service was friendly and knowledgeable.

Visited Farra with my husband on a summer evening and had such a wonderful experience. We loved the burrata with strawberries, shrimp ravioli (agnolotti?- pictured), the zucchini and the raspberry mousse dessert. We throughly enjoyed the tuna, Comte, miso chocolate truffles and our wine (Sancerre and rose). We both left full, but not stuffed. For dinner I would recommend 3-4 from the top half of the menu and 2 from the bottom half. It's a small restaurant, and you have a full view of the (tiny) kitchen. While intimate, the space does feel airy and not cramped. Service was casual but attentive. Would highly recommend for a nice weeknight meal or for a glass of wine and a snack with a friend. All around lovely evening!

Overall, Farra was a lovely spot. the service at this place + their sister spot next door, Atera, was excellent. I walked into Atera and 3 different people immediately greeted me. I didn't have a reservation, and while they had one spot left for their tasting menu, their team was super helpful in pointing me next door to their sister spot Farra as a better option given i don't eat red meat and wasn't really hungry enough for their 12 course tasting menu, but I definitely plan to give that a shot down the road. While more casual, the service at Farra was just as excellent. I had the rose, which was crisp and balanced, to accompany the light seafood meal. I started with the salmon tartare which was delicious and the potato chips added a nice crunch - and you get to control the salmon quantities with a 'build your own' nori approach to the dish. I followed it up with the scallop and roe dish which was delicious. While the rice itself was a little bland, the roe and egg yolk added a nice burst of flavor to every bite and the scallops were phenomenal. I finished the meal with a small dessert, the umami truffles, which were well balanced and a light close out to the meal. The entire experience was quick - but not rushed - and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend giving Farra a shot if you're in the neighborhood!

I was looking forward to dine here after reading so many raving reviews and recommendations across different platforms. Upon checking the menu, my heart fluttered with excitement. Knowing that the portion was going to be relatively small, I ordered 6 items. The burrata and hamachi were the only items worth mentioning. Both items were scrumptious, full of flavors, not heavy and opened up my appetite, which was easily lost after eating the salmon tartare. The salmon tartare was fishy, tasteless, and greasy for some odd reason. Next came the remaining 3 items. The potato with caviar was less than stellar. Once again, grease was the star... the potato still had oil dripping and caviar tasted like caviar. The shape of the potato looks really random. Nothing special going on. Same goes for the shrimp ravioli and the scallop rice. For the portion, taste and visuals, it most definitely did not warrant the price. As far as wine goes, I did not have any due to personal reasons.

Overall rating: 4.9 So I have been seeing this place everywhere on my tiktok last summer and have always had it on my list to try. Will I go again on my own? No. Will I go again if I happened to meet a lovely finance person who wants to stay in this area & has no idea where to go (because it was that expensive)? Yes. Yes, I will. However this place is so tiny, you have to sit inside to get the true experience. I went on a date and we were initially seated outside which were these terrible tiny huts & not the experience I wanted. I asked the host if it was at all possible to sit inside & fortunately he said yes, if I can finish before the next hour. Awesome. Done. This ravioli was shrimp instead of lobster & it was pretty good. It was not filling and every bite I took, I started to feel guilty on taking a date here This was $40 alone. Now, I knew what I was walking into. I can't complain about this price. I'm not complaining. It's flipping fine dining to the max. But I can feel guilty, a bit. Let me telll you thoughh. THIS DESSERT. Yooo. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. It's a deconstructed tiramisu thing & it, was, everything. And it was $15! I am considering going back just for that when I'm in the mood. The taste, omg, I'm salivating as I write this. So effing good. If you can afford this place, you're already doing well for yourself. This review means nothing to you If you know you can't, but hey we all deserve something special- get this dessert asap. Also the service was 10/10. Not too hovering, didn't disappear either. I think she was the bartender as well She was so nice. Highly recommend for the dessert alone.

First I'll start with the wine - we ended up trying all three happy hour wines (HH until 7), which the tables favorites were the white and we ended up getting a bottle to split once HH ended (but I really enjoyed the other vino verde option). It was incredibly refreshing and paired well with the many tinned fish options. As you'd expect - it's a pretty massive selection and there is bound to be a varietal and glass for any palate. It's also attached to a wine store - so it's fine to see all the bottles when peaking over. Food-wise - this is where it was hit or miss, they have a pretty extensive menu (with a whole tinned fish section!) and we ended up ordering the buratta on focaccia (buratta was excellent, focaccia was too dense for my tastes), mushroom truffle crostini (way too salty), the flatbread with sliced kielbasa (was fine), halloume (table favorite ), tinned sardines in lemon oil (delicious), tinned smoked trout (my favorite). Overall the four of us were very full at the end of the meal! The space itself felt very relaxing and rustic, and definitely got busier as the night went on (we got there at 6:50 and left around 9). The service was also fast and attentive - even for the amount of tables they were serving. Overall - I'd definitely go back again, and maybe just focus on the wine and another tinned fish selection!

It stole the show. I've never had celtuce, loved it paired with the jelly, the texture and flavor were both amazing. It was the most interesting and prettiest dish I've had in a long time. For my entree, I had the bobo chicken, which is a poached chicken with a hint of spice and a nice broth. I ordered a side of rice to soak up the broth; the rice had something starchy tucked in it (maybe taro)? I liked it. There were slices of raw celtuce stems (I think, similar to celery) on top that offered some nice texture to the dish. Wine: I tried a merlot by the glass from Xiaopu winery in China. It had a unique flavor that reminded me of a mix between soondubu and dwenjang chigae which worked well. Unfortunately, the rest was a miss. The bossam was overly salty and didn't feel true to the dish. The tteokbokki was another disappointment -it came with cheese (which wasn't expected) and just fell flat overall.
