My colleague and I stopped here for lunch. Wonderful food and service! We will be back!

We were interested in coming here because we loved the curry puffs we tried at the lake Fourth of July festivities earlier in the year. They were FANTASTIC! At the restaurant, we decided to try the basic Pad Thai and then the chicken fried rice. It was yummy but not as big of portions as I've had other Thai restaurants. (But that was ok, we didn't need leftovers anyway.) I gave only three & 1/2 stars for the following reasons. 1. Inside felt "dated" and a bit forgotten (see pics) 2. The service was "ok" I was hoping for more conversation or interest in us. 3. The area outside was very dark. It looked like the entire block was closed! 4. The curry puffs were a little expensive at $11.95 for 3 of them. (So we didn't get them) On a positive note, a nice touch was the soft music playing and the program on the tv showing beautiful images of Thailand. (See pics). All in all, we will be back to try our favorite curry puffs and maybe some egg rolls. read more

Came into this establishment with very high hopes of a great experience, however unfortunately that wasn't the case. Came in around 8 and got sat immediately with only two other tables being occupied. The server sat us quickly and we were given menus, we promptly got our order taken and it seemed as if we were judged for the spice level we requested and it was very off putting. The portions of food were good, however right after eating at this establishment I got sick to my stomach- with many symptoms of food poisoning. The staff were cleaning and shutting down the restaurant 30 minutes prior and did not check in with us at all during that time. When requesting for two boxes to split both of the things of food we had left, one quite a bit more than the other we were given two very small containers that only one of the meals would fit in. (By this I mean both containers used for one plate of food instead of one larger container) We stood up at the front for a while seeing people pass back and forth in the back without any kind of acknowledgment until our waitress finally made eye contact. The prices were very fair for Thai food, just wish I would have had a better experience. read more

While in Kelso/Longview for STP, we tried this family friendly restaurant. We ordered fresh spring rolls, papaya salad and drunken noodles with crispy pork belly. I still miss the previous place that was here before but thought I'd give this place a second try after hearing it was pretty good. The first time I tried was right when the ownership switched and I was NOT a fan. We tried the papaya salad, wings, pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, and red curry -- everything was ok to good. My least favorite was the salad, although I did eat the entire thing, the wings were good, the pad Thai was ok, the fried rice was good, and my favorite was the red curry. The decor isn't the greatest, service was professional and friendly, price was standard, and the portions were maybe on the smaller side but I think fine are the days of heaping portions. Whenever I get a craving for Thai, Farmsook will definitely be considered. read more

Wandered in for lunch mid-week & upon entering received 2 pleasant greetings. After choosing my table & given a menu, water with a slice of lemon was brought without my even asking! I finally decided on the peanut sauce curry with chicken, which when put in front of me was still steaming; rice noodles were my chosen side, brought in a separate bowl. Upon the first bite, I wanted to melt, as the flavors were so delectable, not only warm from heat but also amazing flavors! The veggies of red bell pepper, julienned carrots & broccoli were cooked so amazingly just right- soft enough to eat gently yet still retaining a bit of crunch The thin sliced chicken initially (on top) was soft & of small easy bites, which blended well with the rice noodles & the sauce, being thick, coated the noodles well, making for very pleasing bites. My server did well about checking on me & inquired if I enjoyed my food, stating she was the one who made it! Although, as I continued eating my curry, the slices of chicken were larger & for me, needed to be cut into smaller sizes, of which I used my fork to do so. There was a LOT of chicken in the curry, which was delightful. The spice heat of the curry was mildly medium: I had forgotten to specify when ordering, but was pleased with what I was given. The serving bowls were beautiful, as was the water glass, but sadly - they were all plastic or melamine, which I'm not fond of. I understand from an economic standpoint for a restaurant to use plastic, but I still prefer ceramic or glass. Hence is one of the 2 reasons I'm not giving 5 stars. The other reason is that I eventually learned later that the curry must've been made with MSG added, as I am sensitive to it & ended up in pain as a result. Yes, I had forgotten to ask. I had been in this restaurant before thru 2 previous owners & enjoyed that the interior has been decluttered, freeing up more open space. I plan to return & will try to remember to ask if my food can be made without MSG; I have had curry without before & thought it to be good. Enough said for now read more

A nice kind of hidden hole in the way place. There's a lot of floor space with only a 1/3 used for seating. The waitress was polite and nice and patient with us. We ordered drunken noodles, ou.pkin curry, Lemongrass chicken over pad thai and mango sticky rice for dessert. Everything was delicious and well worth looking for. We only are in Longview one day a month,so this will be added as a place to definitely go! read more

This is a wonderful new restaurant. Great prices for great food. My best friend is Thai and I used to work at a Thai restaurant for nearly a year- and Farmsook definitely lives up to the expectations I have for Thai food. My only critique is the "very hot" spice level is not spicy to me, I recommend it should be at least double! Will be back again! We had pot stickers, laab with chicken, panang with pork, and the pad ker pao with beef. All so yummy! read more

This place has the best Thai food in town. They have the kindest staff and the portions are plenty for left overs. I have tried every Thai place in town. This one has the best prices, portions and authentic flavor. Somsiri is great but the prices are higher and the portions are smaller. Great for take out or a nice lunch date. First visit today, food is excellent. Eggplant stir fry and Pra Ram. Not huge portions but the flavor makes up for that. We wish they would do some inexpensive remodeling/redecorating to make the place more pleasing, no ambience whatsoever. We wish we could dine in. This place should have many more reviews than it does. It's one of the best Thai places I've ever been. And I've been to a lot. We were driving through town on a roadtrip and took a chance on this place and boy were we pleasantly surprised. I'd go here ALL the time if I lived here. The Tom Ka is so flavorful and the veggies are cooked just right. The cashew nut is so fresh. I'm just blown away. Eat here and give it a review. Based on the positive reviews, decided to give this place a chance for takeout. I should have known better with a Thai restaurant in Longview, WA. I was sorely disappointed. The food was terrible. Ordered tom kha soup and pad Thai. The ingredients were cheap and not of good quality. Cabbage in the soup, really??? It's almost as if they were trying to fill the soup with ingredients and used cabbage as a filler. Needless to say, I will not be going back. read more

We were on our way back up north from Vancouver, and I was thinking how the town we live in doesn't have Thai food. I search on our way up, and found this undiscovered gem! I had the pad Thai, the spring rolls, and my partner had the pumpkin curry. Desert was the pandan custard! All delicious and flavorful. This is the best Thai food I have had in long time and the best in town!!! Everthing is so fresh and delicious. The owners are so sweet and friendly. The dishes are prepared with love you can tell when they are brought to the table and are plated so beautifully. They take pride in what they serve, the food isn't just tossed on the plate, they take the time to make it look just as good as it taste's and it taste's fantastic!! Our pumpkin curry was delicious. Perfect after walking in the cold on small business Saturday. The service was fabulous - warm and friendly.

Better than the original owner with more authentic ingredients and better prepare. Love this place.The decor could use some help as the original was much better laid out and decorated but the food is worth forgiving the interior looks.
