Combination Pad Thai

Super delicious and authentic Thai food served here! FRESH FRESH FRESH quality ingredients are selected to compose a symphony of flavors, textures and umami! We appreciate the attention and friendly service from solo owner and operator Pam! She sparkles with enthusiasm and attentiveness! You know she takes great pleasure and pride in serving us her cuisine. We will be back again and again!

Message from the owner to a three year old review. Owner is still harassing me. Bad service doesn't go unnoticed.

(7/22/17) Went here and the food wasn't good at all. The calamari was leather and they gave me horrible attitudes when I refused to pay for something completely inedible. I paid for all but the calamari even though it was all very disappointing. (10/30/17) UPDATE Seems someone that we can only assume as the owner "Maysee?" is offended by my honest and accurate review. I received a message today, one simple word from her "bullsh*t". And I must say that I agree, that is a great adjective we can use to describe the level (and attitude) of service and the quality of what they call food. Would not feed this stuff to an animal. If there were an option I would give this place a -5 star rating. It was and still is the worst dining experience I have had. This establishment is a huge let down, save yourself the issues and head over to Siam Spice or go to Woodland and eat at Mali Thai, both are phenomenal and the service is worlds better. (1/1/21) UPDATE It has been over three years since my review, also posted my original review to google. The owner is still harassing me about my review which only goes to show they are a shady place. This was a response to my review on Google tonight from the owner. Picture is attached. "Response from the owner 6 hours ago Some people in there life are not happy with anything ,hope there life turns around soon" It's safe to say the Maysee is the one unhappy with her life. Everytime I get a response I will update my review with that information.

Lunch special: Hot basil chicken. Not spicy at all, but the flavors were PERFECT!!! tastes like Thailand in the best possible way.

Great dining experience! Wonderful service. The lady in the kitchen obviously knows exactly what she's doing. All the dishes were perfect balanced. If you want traditional thai food come here. Lots of locals and kind staff. Hot basil chicken was a stand out dish. Might want to ask for EXTRA spicy if that's what you're looking for. Thai tea was a little too sweet, but such a small thing. I'm excited to come back to try more of the menu!

Longview is in dire need of a tru Thai restaurant and I think we may now have it. Started with Fresh Shrimp Roll and Chicken Satay with a spicy peanut sauce. Both were very good and fresh and peanut sauce was spicier than most which was perfect! Finished with a spicy beef salad that was seasoned very nice but could have had more beef. Waitress was very nice and helpful. Chef in back came out to our table to check out satisfaction with her work. Not in a location I would have found without Yelp but I will go back!

The best little hole in the wall with the most unbelievably delicious Thai food I've ever had. I am a Portland Native who absolutely adores Thai food and I found it a few blocks down in a location I kind of honestly didn't expect to be all that great, but I was proved wrong! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a very lovely waitress and as I went during lunch, I was fortunate enough to meet the kindest cook in the world. Everything about my visit was amazing, with the food I savored each bite and its heavenly flavor. For my beverage I ordered a Thai Iced Tea and it was sweet and tasty, better than a lot of the places I've found in Portland and they don't fill their drinks up to the brim with ice. This place is affordable, everything was incredible, staff, food and I really enjoyed the interior and how clean the place is. I plan on going back all the time, this little spot is my favorite secret spot. Don't miss checking out this place based on its appearance from the outside, because you'll be very happy once you step into this magical oasis that takes you away from Longview and teleports your taste buds to Thailand. For lunch, I went with: Thai Iced Tea- YUM. 2nd best I've had in my 27 years of existing, its legit. Would be cool if bobas were an option, I'd pay extra. $2.50 Egg Rolls - The sauce that comes with four egg rolls is so yummy!!!! I felt like Homer Simpson when he drools thinking about delicious food. They weren't overdone an had the perfect crunch. (Insert drool emoji here) $4.95 Yellow Curry w/ chicken - Can I say OOF SO GOOD, I'm not the biggest fan of curry, but I kept moaning like Sally from when Harry Met Sally in that restaurant scene, it was so delicious. It came with a salad with a delightful dressing, fried wonton, white rice and the curry. $7.95 (lunch special) P.S. I still have leftovers because the serving size is more than enough and the food is very filling.

The food was great. A nice small quaint restaurant in a residential area. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Update time! Hubby & I have become regulars at Columbia Eats since our first visit. We always look…read morefor restaurants that have great food & generous portions (enough to take home leftovers ;) which is exactly what Max offers. He always treats his customers like they are the ONLY ones in the restaurant, even when the place is crowded...which is a lot more often these days! We met his new helper, Jacob, who is personable & engaging. He seemed genuinely happy to be there! Now for the food! Our favorites have always been New York Steak Yakisoba (w/Chicken or Shrimp) Spam Pineapple Fried Rice (AMAZING!) It has taken us a long time to try anything else because these are SO good! But last night we felt adventurous & ordered Pasta Arrabbiata & Pasta Alla Vodka. Now we have 2 more dishes to add to "Our Regulars"! We topped our evening off with an amazing dessert, Pistachio Ricotta Cake. What a delightful combination of flavors!

This place has just about everything. Asian, Italian, fusion. Normally, places like this, which…read morehave different types / nationalities of food, is mediocre at best but not Columbia Eats! The owner, Max is a mad scientist! Everything on the menu is his creation or his version. From the Pepsi Cola Chicken, the Spam fried rice to the deep fried desserts are amazing. Max could probably find a way to deep fry beer. =) I even tried the teriyaki made with chicken breast; it was not dry at all. My wife and I enjoy dining at the bar; it's comfortable and welcoming. We transplanted from Kent in April and Columbia Eats is now our go-to restaurant.

For $21 a person we had general Tao with a thinner than other restaurants, sauce is bursting with flavor. Mongolian beef was spot on for me. Super tender beef slices with a touch of heat without the lip tingles. The table service was good glasses kept full and tea was hot. The restaurant is the typical decorating for family dining dragon chandeliers, vinyl booths with traditional Asian music playing softly in the background.

Our absolute favorite is the General Tsoas with white meat and Singapore noodle with no onion. The hot and sour soup is my absolute favorite also. The service is very quick, which is nice, especially when you are really hungry! It's also nice to go to a restaurant, with your family, and you can actually hear each other talk and enjoy each others company, rather than trying to yell over some loud music playing. (That is not cool when some restaurants are so loud you can't hear the person sitting across from you! ANNND lastly, the bathrooms are ALWAYS clean!!! If you are in Longview or want to eat some amazing food, I highly recommend Golden Palace in Longview.
