We stopped for lunch after visiting the famous Pueblo cliff dwellings 8/18/25. Note: we stopped in here on our way in to get a map of Mesa Verde. The woman at the gift shop was extremely helpful and showed us exactly what must see stops to make the most of our one day visit. Wish we had written down her name because she was gracious & helpful to first time visitors. The view from the terrace is stunning. Cafeteria style lunch was pretty good. Breakfast is April 19-Oct 20 7-10am. Lunch is Apr 18-Oct 20 11am-3/4pm. Lunch was a pre-made turkey sandwich (10) and just a bowl of chili (b/c they were out of taco shells) ($6.50). There are two real restaurants also in this complex. Restrooms were immaculate despite the crowd of visitors. Ample parking, many busses today. Glad we stopped here. Cafe with coffee and gift shop located in the middle of Mesa Verde National Park. Cafe might be a bit fancy as it's more of a cafeteria, but if you didn't bring any lunch, it looks like it will be a decent stop to at least get something to eat. Coffee shop looks decent too. Decent-sized gift shop with plenty of Mesa Verde merch to choose from. If you're a pressed penny collector, they have a machine here. They also had plenty of clean bathrooms, which is always a nice surprise to find in a national park. It's about a 15 minute drive to Cliff Palace and a 20 minute drive to Balcony House. We had an hour and a half of free time between our two tours, so this was a nice stop to rest in AC and eat our lunch we brought. Wouldn't normally be my first choice. But for the middle of a national park? It's a pretty good stop. read more

Quite large rest, shop and dine building near the long house cliff dwelling. The mens restroom was very clean. Their food didn't look very appealing because it looked like cafeteria food. I didn't actually eat there so it may be amazing. They did have a small coffee and tea stand which smelt amazing. Their gift shop had lots of wonderful items, and the employees were very delightful. Perfect spot to sit and drink some coffee, take in the view, and use the restroom before making your way down to long house. read more

Very sad. Poorly trained staff. Limited and poor quality food. Concessionaire isn't even trying to get it right.

Great stopping point in Mesa Verda park. Its about 30-40 minutes inward on the main drive from the park entrance. It is a great place to stop for food, restroom break, and souvenirs before checking out the rest of the park. Most of the points of interest such as the Cliff Palace and Spruce Tree House are only 15-20 minutes from this stop. And while we were not expecting anything special given that there is no restaurant competition for dozens of miles, the food was really good. One can also enjoy the local Zuberfizz soda along with their meal while enjoying stunning views of the park in the sitting area. read more

My son and I both got food poisoning after eating there in October of 2022 (I had a sandwich, he had pizza). Really horrible experience. Love the park - but bring your own food! read more
