This place is such er Pearl everyone gotta try. The food is great and the service is even better. We came in on a hot day and waited 5 minutes to get a table. Our server was so sweet and very interested in where we came from(from Denmark) The portion of the food was very big and none of us were able to finish. read more

Very busy, we went on a Friday night and saw it was busy driving by earlier even around 4pm. Service is super friendly but we did wait 40 min for a to go order, so leave yourself plenty of time. Food was pretty good, the fry bread was delicious. Tacos could have been a bit more flavorful. We also got green chili cheese fries and you can't go wrong with those! read more

This is authentic Navajo food. They have other menu options if you have a taste for American food, Asian food, and Mexican food. We were a large group that made a reservation and we are taken great care of. Despite us being a large group, our food came out fast and hot. You will be getting a lot of food for a great price so keep that in mind. I loved giving back to the community and supporting a local business. read more

I stopped in here to try it out, not many good options in Shiprock. I needed to get some work done on my laptop while I waited for food, but my laptop batter was dying. The manager would not let me charge it. Like, I can't just plug it in somewhere for 10 minutes? It sucks here, the way people treat each other, can't even help someone out with such a simple request. What is wrong with this world? We used to be community. My family is from Two Grey Hills, I'm a tribal member. This is why people move away and never come back. I didn't get to try the food. read more

This breakfast burrito was beyond exp citations. The portions are very large. I had my burrito without meat and still could not finish the plate. The service is always excellent read more

We were craving something other than Southwestern food and stopped by this place for Chinese. We got the sweet and sour chicken and shrimp fried rice, and both were excellent! Way better than we expected, especially given how big the menu is. The food was just as good as what you'd get at a top-rated American Chinese spot. The place looks newly renovated--really clean and spacious. The service was great too. read more

Went in for Chinese food and was generally happy with the atmosphere and cleanliness. The Mongolian beef was good (not enough meat) but great flavor. The egg drop soup and the egg rolls were worth their price. The server brought me 3 sodas in a timely manner :). read more

Best Chinese food I've ever had in NM! Looked a little questionable from the outside, but the Sichuanese beef was great.

This was the best Chinese food I've had in many many years! I live 5 hours away and I am considering driving here again. Its that good. The service was great and the ambiance was quite, our kids being the loudest people there. The bathrooms were clean, I would recommend this to anyone! read more

All the stew and beans are a week old, and none of the cooks wear gloves when serving your food, no hair nets, so you're also consuming the cooks sweat, running off his hair. Plus, all employees are paid under the table, 50 to 100 a day. We don't need foreigners taking advantage of the native people and under paying them. read more

Food was absolutely amazing... we would have stopped in a second time on our way back, but they were closed on Sunday.

Stopped here enroute to 4 corners. This place is definitely a local's place. Interestingly, they have an AYCE chinese buffet (which all the locals were going for), as well as Navajo and American fare. My friend and I had the Navajo taco and the lamb stew. Both were excellent: not overly salted, made with fresh ingredients, and definitely in-house made. Recommend one of the best picks in a very remote location with limited options. read more

On our way from Durango to Canyon De Chelly, my wife and I wisely stopped for lunch at Nataani Nez. Located in the northeast corner of the Navajo Nation, we wanted to have our first-ever Navajo meal. While the restaurant sign says "Breakfast, Lunch Buffet, and Dinner," we were also able to order from the menu at lunch. We found the restaurant staff welcoming and pleasant, and the walls displayed many pieces of art from the area including some beautiful photographs that would have been worthy of museum display. We ordered from the Navajo category on the menu, choosing to share the ample lamb stew with fry bread. The stew was perfect with tender lamb and vegetables in a deliciously seasoned broth. The fry bread came picture-perfect, overlapping the edges of a large plate! Other menu categories included American, Mexican, and Chinese--something good for everybody! Meralda was our server and she was just outstanding! She answered our various questions about the Navajo dishes with care and interesting detail. Our food arrived promptly, piping hot, and it was delicious from start to finish. Meralda was attentive throughout our meal, and answered several questions we asked about the area. Nataani Nez is popular with locals as well as travelers. We recommend it highly and plan to return on future travels to the area. In a nutshell, it's a winner! read more

The food was kinda mid, but the main problem is the restroom. To go to the restroom you have go down a long dim hall, it feels like some bad might happen down the hall. The food i got was the mutton stew and it made poop myself read more

i've been here for brunch on a sunday and didn't eat their breakfast. i ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was a 3.5 star meal. if you are a buffet go'er then know that the buffet is not available for breakfast. i've been to the restaurant for lunch twice and ate at the buffet. i have not ordered any food from the menu. the buffet offers a different cuisine everyday. the quality of food is a 3 star. i keep gong back for more food only to get my monies worth. if lunch is busy be prepared for bad or slow service. once i got tired of waiting for the server so i got out of my seat and got my own soda refill. like is said nataani nez restaurant is just okay. read more

Just driving from Gallup NM to Four Corners I got hungry. Noticed a Subway sign as I entered Shiprock, NM. Underneath was a sign for "Nataaní Nez Restaurant". Decided to try it. Truly amazing! An all-you-can-eat buffet for $6.95 (June, 2014). All the Mexican AND Chinese food you can eat plus a complete and very clean salad bar. I had to pinch myself. Then I ate until I was stuffed. And the staff is more friendly than I've run across in a long time. They also have a complete menu if you don't want the buffet. read more

Good location , family style restaurant, easy in and out. Our waitress was the highlight of our dining experience, friendly and efficient. But the food was lacking....... I question the quality of food served. It was ok, not that authentic. We had the Navajo taco and roast beef on fry bread. Taco was best but both were average to below. It looked like a Chinese man was owner-manager (hence Chinese buffet) . It was a business certainly not a culinary experience. Have had much better Native American food in Gallup and Farmington! read more

Solid meal! My friend and I decided we haddd to try a navajo taco and had heard about this place. We ended up splitting one- which was a great idea because the taco was huuuuuuge- such great value. The fry bread was great and the toppings were tasty though could use perhaps a bit more spice (that being said we may have been overly cautious about applying the side of green salsa). Everyone was also very nice and friendly. Great choice for trying navajo taco in my opinion! read more

Was driving around to look for something nice for our lunch when I read this resto. So my friends and I decided to try it out and see if we like it... And yes we did.. Food was great and the price is just right. The buffet was something you'd want to try with all the variety of great food to choose and the salad bar, it's just great. The place is neat and nice and the service crew were very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend this for anyone who's looking for variety. This is the place to be. read more

Stopped on our long drive home. For a small town, we thought it was great. The Navajo taco was huge and my hubby had the steak dinner which was also large. My kids enjoyed the mac and cheese and cheeseburgers they had. We always like supporting local places where we can and we weren't disappointed in our choice. It definitely beats fast food any day of the week. Friendly and courteous staff too read more
