Back again in Bluff and wouldn't miss another dinner at Canyon Smokehouse. Brought some friends this time and again had a great meal. Highlights this year were the Cajun sausage, the brisket Birria tacos where the depth of flavor in the birria dip is amazing, the hatch green chile Mac and cheese and the banana pudding crème brûlée which is not to be missed. We managed to get the last one. Thanks for another great night

The Banana cream pie crème brûlée was so GOT-DANG good I almost cried in the restaurant (instead I cried in the parking lot)

The BBQ here in Bluff Utah, ain't no bluff at all! I've searched high and low for a half decent BBQ joint in this state soon as I showed up 6 months ago, now that I'm on a trip back home I done found it (ain't that how the cookie crumbles)! If you're looking for good BBQ then look no further, this is any lover of BBQs Zion, their diamond in the desert. Service and ambience were to match the food quality, speedy and polite like family. If should trek this way again, I will fight tooth and nail to divert the family roadtrip get a table at this place.

Charred bbq Cauliflower tips w/green chile Mac n cheese and Brisket tacos. Pinot Grigio & local beer.

I was surprised to find vegetarian options at this restaurant, but they had a delicious cauliflower dish with yummy green chile Mac n cheese. They serve large portions, but save room for the cream cheese brownie. You order/pay at the counter and then your food is brought out, it was a quick process. The restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly.

Nacho w brisket. Already started eating.

Went there for an early dinner. Greeted by the lady working in the front; very friendly and efficient in explaining the rundown of how to order and get the food. Had nacho and pull pork. They were good, but the prices are not "slim" - well, not unexpected or unlike other restaurants in town. Nonetheless for $18 nacho, we would expect more chips at least on the tray. The place is clean and we liked the sauce choices they had. Texas was our favorite.

Larger dining area than it looks from outside.

The food was delicious. We had the brisket sandwich and the meat was so tender. The staff were very friendly.

Very so-so, but what do you expect in the middle of nowhere? I can't even recommend their side dishes. It is the best in town though.

They were fabulous and my husband had the regular burger with the homemade fries and it was awesome. The bun was super fresh and one thing I might add is that you can get liquor here. Probably because I heard they make them share tips with the back crew. Pay the back crew better then. The meat? Dry as a cardboard box left in the Nevada sun for three summers. Brisket had the texture of an old boot sole and somehow zero smoke flavor--like they forgot to turn the smoker on. Ribs were tough, overcooked, and tasted mostly of disappointment. Coleslaw was just sad shredded cabbage swimming in watery mayo. Beans were straight from a can with zero seasoning. Even the sweet tea tasted like someone stirred it with regret. $18 for a two-meat plate that made me wish I'd just eaten gas station jerky instead. Place sucked. Atmosphere sucked. Food sucked. Would not return even if they paid me. 0/10, do not recommend unless you hate yourself

There are a moderate number of seats available, but the restaurant filled up quickly. Clean interior, basic decor. FOOD: Very limited menu, no alcohol. We ordered the ravioli and sage chicken. The ravioli was delicious with a nice cream sauce, we enjoyed the addition of the sun dried tomatoes. The chicken was also delicious, stuffed with a mixture which included sage to impart more sage flavor. The chicken dish was accompanied by a generous scoop of flavored rice and Brussels sprouts cooked with dried cranberries. OVERALL: We were very pleased with the meal and full afterwards. We had the crabmeat "boats" for an appetizer, which was a halved avocado (2 boats - one per half) overflowing with the crabmeat and jicama shreds, flavored with mango sauce, cayenne, and paprika. It was superb!!! My husband had their signature burger, which also had a delicious array of seasonings and mango sauce on a pretzel roll. I had their salmon, which was a generous slab of salmon accompanied by asparagus and roasted cauliflower (I opted to switch the potatoes for cauliflower). Honestly, this was a special meal for us and Duke's made it an excellent evening.

So fun and friendly they moonlight as professional best friends. The pineapple salsa hit like a tropical vacation I didn't know I needed. Nachos were great -- no notes. The pulled pork was so flavorful it made me question my plain-chicken era. The brisket? Fork-optional tender. And the mac and cheese was so creamy it deserves its own zip code. But the real villain? The Chubby Cow Taco. I don't know what sorcery lives inside that thing, but it now haunts my dreams in the best possible way. 5/5 stars. Will return. Possibly tonight.

Once we were seated on the patio, our server approached and asked if our dog was going to be a problem, before she had done anything at all. I want to be fair: our dog did jump up on the server at one point, which is on us, and we take full responsibility for that. However, the unwelcoming tone was already established well before that happened. When our food arrived, my pulled pork nachos were cold; the pork, cheese, and chili all felt like they came straight from the refrigerator. When I mentioned it to our server, she immediately grabbed the plate, said she'd take it off the bill, and returned two minutes later with our check. There was no offer to replace the dish or make it right in any other way. The location and patio have potential, but the service and food quality fell well short of what we were hoping for.
