Ground sirloin steak, pinto beans and garlic toast. I Chose to pass on the salad

Staying at the Mexican Hat Hotel. Saw the grill going downstairs. A great find to say the least I ordered the ground sirloin steak which came with delicious pinto beans and garlic toast. Was so tasty and really hit the spot. This is a family owned and run business. Service was awesome. We are in our room

Ok, this is a FUN experience..... The concept is great and if your in the area don't pass it up. For sure the best you'll find out in this area. You can't find better owners and workers! Big tip: Bring a bottle of wine!!!! Lol No alcohol here, zero. Had to go across the street to buy beer then $2 glass fee when you get back. (Cold frosted glass, worth it) They don't season anything. Steaks are OK but they charge Prices like the the top steak houses in the country! Lol That said I still would not pass it up! Great experience period!!!

Gettin' ready. No food till after 6pm

Very good steak by very nice people. Hank and Boyd let us grab a seat even though we arrived 30 minutes early. The menu is pretty simple: meat that will come with a side of salad w/ Italian dressing and some beans. The beans are fairly bland, but the steak was properly cooked to order. Pricing is a bit more in line with a linen table cloth restaurant, but compared to the slim choices in the region (including the disappointing options at Goulding's), I'm glad we stopped in.

The chef let me have a photo taken with him. He is on the right.

The service was outstanding and so friendly. The food was delicious. I am so glad this place survived the the lockdown. I really appreciate all the hard work that must go into making a business like this succeed in a location where there really is t much around. I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning.

Terrific steak, just what we needed after a long day out exploring. They even let us have our meal in our room next door at the motel.

$68 for a rib eye 18oz and 18 for a small sized burger. Run away as fast as you can. A rip off at best

Been jonesing hard since missing out on a taco truck at Four Corners back in 2015. Living on the east coast, I don't have a lot of Navajo Taco options. My husband and son? Had never had a Navajo Taco. This was the best introduction for them! The service here was terrific. The young man who seated and served us was great! Personable, funny, cool tats, really made the meal shine. The tacos were spectacular, perfect, with the fry bread done just right. The sweet potato fries were also spot-on, as was the coffee. The decor was rustic, fun, with old tools, a collection of beer cans and bottles, and comfy seating. I do have one regret, though. The cook came out to chat, and he told us about his band playing at a local venue, invited us to come hang. Sadly, we were on our way out of town. Can't remember the name of his band so I can share with friends who live in that area and would love to go see them play. I can almost remember it--Thunder in the Valley? Thunder on the Mountain? There were posters around the area, wish I'd taken a pic. Anyway, the restaurant is right next to the inn, which was clean, spacious, and didn't have a lick of internet. Which was kind of cool, actually. The river is right there, and, overall, this was a really terrific meal and I wish I could let the folks who made it that way know.

There are a moderate number of seats available, but the restaurant filled up quickly. Clean interior, basic decor. FOOD: Very limited menu, no alcohol. We ordered the ravioli and sage chicken. The ravioli was delicious with a nice cream sauce, we enjoyed the addition of the sun dried tomatoes. The chicken was also delicious, stuffed with a mixture which included sage to impart more sage flavor. The chicken dish was accompanied by a generous scoop of flavored rice and Brussels sprouts cooked with dried cranberries. OVERALL: We were very pleased with the meal and full afterwards. Service was good. Overall solid meal!

We had the crabmeat "boats" for an appetizer, which was a halved avocado (2 boats - one per half) overflowing with the crabmeat and jicama shreds, flavored with mango sauce, cayenne, and paprika. It was superb!!! My husband had their signature burger, which also had a delicious array of seasonings and mango sauce on a pretzel roll. I had their salmon, which was a generous slab of salmon accompanied by asparagus and roasted cauliflower (I opted to switch the potatoes for cauliflower). Honestly, this was a special meal for us and Duke's made it an excellent evening.

Loads of amazing American indian artifacts, gifts, pottery, jewelry and so much more. Hence we noticed the restaurant. It's towards the end of it. I think there's also an entrance from the hotel, which is part of it. We walked in to check out the menu and decided to try it out. Checked in with the hostess and added our name to the waitlist. It was about 20-25 minutes. It was fine, more time to browse the store. There's also an area that you could wait outside with a view of the mountains and plains but it was dark and pitch black. Once we were buzzed and seated. The table already had a carafe of iced water on it. All the tables did. Menu wise, limited but some nice dishes. Don't know if it changes seasonal or it's the same menu. Food wise, went with the Arizona fried chicken. Three pieces tossed in a southwestern batter and deep fried. Served with jalapeños slices. Also a choice of fries, mash potatoes or white rice and seasoned veggies which was corn. And a piece of grilled Arizona bread which is similar to pita bread. Chicken was quite nice and juicy. Batter was good, not too much of it and a nice crunch. It was quite nice. Also had a bowl of soup which was like chicken tortillas without tortilla chips. That was quite nice as well. And an order of the chili beans con carne. A southwestern favorite which was a bowl of chili with shredded cheese and onions and served a side. The beef was flavorful and very hearty. Food was good, service was great. All the staff were very friendly. We asked about breakfast but it's only served for hotel guest. As well as meals after 7pm. Also, they don't have alcohol. Non alcoholic, yes.

My taste has moved on since that time, however, and I've had better, more flavorful bowls through the years. My wife's tacos were "standard lunchroom fare" she could have made at home. Still, the food was filling and the service was good. The view during dinner was amazing and served to distract us from the less-than-stellar meal. I recommend it for the view.
