Combo plate brisket pulled pork and sausage
    Mae T.

If you're craving BBQ this place does hit the spot. The Brisket, salad and fries are fire, the rest is good. Sausage had great taste but was cold, pulled pork was good. The cornbread is good but taste like it was store bought and more like a breakfast muffin. Server was by herself working a large party and two other tables but did amazing. The venue itself is very cute and very clean. I'd go back for the brisket.

    Great food!

It was not busy but it was a weekday, the server was so sweet and answered all our questions. My hubby got the chicken green chili chipotle panini it was spicy and delicious. I got the brisket tacos. It had a lot of great toppings. My LO got the Mac and. Cheese and put some BBQ sauce on it and it was surprisingly good. If you're hungry and looking for a place stop here.

My husband and I had the tacos, both the pulled pork and the brisket they were fantastic and just enough. 3 tacos per person per serving. The wait staff was efficient, personable and attentive. They also have outdoor seating. Nice stop, Check them out when in Monticello, UT.

This place is what barbecue is about! I'm staying at an Airbnb in the area for the night and was starving and needed to take my dogs on a walk as well and came across this place and had been craving barbecue. Walked down there ordered the pulled pork platter with french fries and everything is to die for. The ranch is the yummiest. Make sure you order some with the fries and the barbecue sauce is great. Also ask for an extra side of bbq sauce for takeout because they don't automatically give you too much. It's a great portion and was delicious. Sidenote, the phone number listed on yelp for some reason does not work. It says it's disconnected. I got the number from Google.

Not knowing any of the restaurants there, I asked around for a good place. The hotel front desk employee suggested to check out Canyon Smokehouse. After listening to their suggestions, I also checked out Yelp, and after reading some reviews, I found it really helpful. Parking is limited, so be prepared! The dining area is pretty big with plenty of tables and chairs. You order your meal by the counter, pay and find an empty spot. Cashier will give you a buzzer, so you'll know when the food is ready. You pick up your food at the counter. Soft drinks are available with a free refill. I was pretty hungry after walking in Monument Valley all day, so I have decided to order a Two Meat entree with two sides. I chose smoked brisket and smoked pork with fries and coleslaw. Everything was delicious! Pork was a little fatty and I didn't like it, but everything else was very good. I also ordered dessert, which was a pre packaged Brownie. Size wise it was huge! Ate some of it. Definitely satisfying. I'll be returning when I get back to Bluff again.

You get 2 sides with the plate so we ordered fries and the corn salad. Fries were very good and the corn salad was so so. It's self serve so you order at the counter, grab a drink from the fountain (they do offer beer and wine as well) and they offer several sauces so you can mix and match. Note that they charge a 3% fee if you use a credit card. I didn't know this until after I paid and got the receipt. If there was a notice near the register I missed it.

Our choices were Country fried steak (2) with really mashed potatoes, some corn , a dinner salad and a nice fry bread! Great choice as all of it was excellent. We also had the special hot beef with fries (also home made) and it was delicious. I had the pastrami burger and it was a full 1/2lb burger with a generous slice of pastrami - excellent. Plenty of parking in their lot. Not crowded and seated right away and drinks soon after. Service was to nothing. Highly recommend this place.

My wife and I both ordered the brisket taco. Hers without the pineapple mango salsa and with Mac and cheese as a side. I ordered a side of sweet potato fries with mine. My wife absolutely loved it. I was expecting moister brisket rather than the burnt ends type meat. That being said, the flavors were very good. The tacos included a large portion of the burnt ends with a very tasty rather sweet bbq sauce, chunks of potatoes with a melty white cheese and a good flour tortilla. I was saddened by the amount of cilantro in the salsa; blame my DNA as it tastes like soap to me. I found the sweet potato fries tasty and an adequate amount as a small side. My wife's side of Mac and cheese was the better side and was easily enough for both of us to have shared as a side. It reheated well for an addition to a salad the next day in our hotel room. Our friends had a very good bacon cheeseburger and a grilled cheese, both with large portions of French fries. They also had leftovers to take home. The service was prompt and attentive without feeling like we were being hovered over, nor were we pressured to eat and leave. This made for a very pleasant conversation catching up with old friends. This would be one of our top dining choices in Cortez.

The biggest disappointment was the atmosphere. The bar was packed with people who had clearly come to watch the FIFA Men's World Cup quarterfinals match between Norway and England, yet there was no game audio. Instead, one TV was showing golf while the rest had the match on silently. When we asked, we were told the TVs aren't connected to the sound system. That's understandable, but it was disappointing that management didn't have a backup plan. We even heard SiriusXM sports commercials playing, so it seemed like broadcasting the World Cup radio feed could have been an easy way to create a much better experience. Instead, they played an '80s music station while everyone watched one of the biggest sporting events in the world in silence. It felt like a missed opportunity. With a little more planning, the atmosphere could have been fantastic. As it stands, it's a fine place for food and drinks, but nothing particularly memorable.
