I rarely visit Farmington outside of returning home for the holidays, but I was recently in town for a graduation and was able to visit my old favorite spots. I have a few spots that were my favorites back in the day and teriyaki chicken is one of them. I won't lie. It's definitely a little dingy, but the food is just so good. It is cash only still even in 2023, but I was willing to pull out some cash just to go. The food is just really good. I ordered the combo of beef and chicken with fried rice and then grabbed a few extra sauces to go. I always add the chili and sweet-and-sour to my meal. They're usually pretty quick and you get the food within 10 minutes. Their prices are also still very affordable, you can easily share a meal with someone for I believe $10.99 before tax. Funny note , when I moved to Albuquerque I thought that the teriyaki chicken places here were the same thing and was sadly disappointed that they are nowhere close. read more

Decent food for the money, but i seldom come here because they don't take credit cards. You can eat here, but its mor if a take out place, very noisy read more

It's not Hawaii people but it ain't bad. Stick with the basics (#1 or #8, maybe the beef) and you'll be alright. At all costs avoid anything on the left side of the menu board. Get the chili. Ask for chopsticks - they have them under the counter. Those wanky plastic forks are a waste of good petroleum. read more

Never again! I did get my money back! BUT this was the most nastiest experience ever! FOUND A COUGH DROP IN MY FOOD! Owner was a jerk when I showed him my food saying it was my fault! Definitely recommend * large servings *delicious * fast and friendly *only downside is it's cash only read more

Staff was rude, food expensive, portions were a joke. The shrimp were tiny and there was only two in the meal. The beef was low quality and fatty. read more

Place used to be a decent and inexpensive place to get your teriyaki chicken. I went last week, and they chopped up chicken, which tasted old! You could not tell what part of the chicken it was from. In addition, the sweet and sour sauce was watery, and the cabbage was tough such a disappointment! read more

Good food and efficient service. I have only used them for take-out at dinnertime because the ambiance inside is pretty dreary. Maybe it's brighter in daytime. read more

Food is bland. They don't cook anything together and just put sauce on top. Don't know why this has such good reviews. Service also sucked. They practically pushed us out the door 10 minutes before they even closed. You could feel daggers on you wanting you to leave 20 minutes before closing. They closed the bathrooms down before they were closed and my toddler who is just potty trained had to pee and we were an hour from our final destination so he peed outside in the back. Was really bummed we picked this place over everything else and it was a complete let down. read more

1 Star for service. Lady at register lacks people skills. Half the dining room was closed off and was told I could not sit there. 3 Star for food. Maybe there is no real competition in the area in their food category, because food quantity has potential for improvement. 4.5 Star for cleanliness. Place was clean. 4 Star for price. Meals are not overpriced as of this review. read more

Food was quick, easy and on time as scheduled for pick up. I had the pepper steak pork and my kids had the chicken teriyaki bowl. The chicken terriyaki was probably the better of the two. I felt the food lacked some kick and spice. Reading the reviews ahead of time prepared me well for everything. This is 2-3 stars at best. Ease and quantity are the best qualities. read more

04/16/24 ordered 2 sweet & sour chicken dinners plus two egg rolls at 4:00 pm All were over cooked and some of the chicken looked like pork - it was inedible. I have eaten there for years and have never been disappointed, unfortunately I don't think I'll go back. read more

This whole in the wall place is delicious! Yes, the exterior is no bueno and maybe interior. But the food and flavors are still delicious. The last time I've been here was over 15 years ago and besides Covid and no bathrooms. It's still delicious. Called in my eggroll and beef and chicken combo. 20 minutes later we pulled up and its ready for me. The eggroll 4* it's your standard, better than most places but not the best. Beef and chicken combo 5* i love beef so I enjoyed both meats. Very tender and marinated well. It would be a definite stop every time I come through Farmington. read more

The food here is pretty good, for fast food Japanese, and they make the orders pretty quick. Just remember to bring cash, because they don't accept any other forms of payment. The staff is mostly Hispanic, for this kind of cuisine, but for this area, you get what you got. The cashier can be a bit unwelcomimg though, and are limited to English. So, if you have allergies, or want to change up the order, they give you a look that makes you rethink your question. They pretty much stick to the menu above them, and there is no other option. You can order ahead, as well, so that's always an option if you're driving across town. Extra condiments are available, as well as plastic utensils, if you're inclined for some. read more

I love this place! My papa has been a regular for years now and I was raised on this food. I'm 22 now and it has not changed. The food is still great year after year and it is one of my go-to's for takeout. 10/10 service and the workers are always friendly in my experience. read more

I tried the combination plate and liked it a lot. Plenty of food and tasty. I gave only three stars because they don't take credit cards and have no fried rice read more

We have eaten here, on and off, for a long time. We drive between Colorado and New Mexico and this often turns out to be a great lunch stop. The chicken teriyaki (described as a bowl, but is served in a foam to-go container) is a lot of tasty food for under $5. This time, we "upgraded" to the beef for about a dollar more. It was really tasty, but the chicken will always be my favorite. There are squirt bottles of the tasty teriyaki sauce to augment what comes on the plate (you get steamed veggies and some excellent white rice with your meal). I got an egg roll this time. Loved the black pepperiness of it. There was lots of ground pork inside with the cabbage. I will always be getting one when I eat here from now on. Very busy place, but they keep bringing out the food. You know they say when police eat at a place, you know it is good. Well, here - the fire department was eating here. It is a bit shabby and the restrooms have some graffiti. But - everything is clean. And I do love my meals here! read more

I frequently eat lunch at this restaurant. There are a few things I don't like about this place. 1. Cash only. Come on people it's 2019 2. Charge for refills 3. Looks like an old Wendy's or KFC from the 80's The things I mentioned would probably drop most restaurants to a two or three star BUT their food is excellent. They make everything fresh, have good sized portions and it always tasty. I will continue to go I just have to swing by an ATM first because I rarely carry cash. read more

The noodles are flavorless in the combo plate. The chicken was ok and the veggies weren't steamed correctly.

I was very pleasantly surprised at this restaurant. I just moved here and walked the block from my residence and was pleased toget a big plate of good terryaki chicken, a load of fluffy, fresh white rice, and even the veges that came with it were perfectly cooked. And the price was right. Couple days later got the chow mein, which was not quite as tasty but had lots of fresh veges. This will be my go-to place for a while. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. read more

Living here locally, this restaurant has been a favorite of mine and my family for many years. The meals are deliciously made, and the workers have always been very friendly and welcoming. I defenatly recommend. read more

Always always good to come here. Very affordable, good food, and good service. The ladies always greet you on the way in.

I love the teriyaki chicken bowl combo. The price is fair and the food is great. I would recommend anyone to go there for lunch!

As you may have read from some other reviews, the place looks like it was built and abandoned in 1973, but the food is genuinely fantastic, as is the mountain of a serving size you get ESPECIALLY when you consider how low cost it all is. If you're in Farmington, gotta eat at Teriyaki Chicken Combo. read more

My guilty pleasure for fast food. Always fresh and prices are fair. The vegetables are crunchy and vibrant, and the rice is always sticky.

Prices and portions are very good. Menu has many options. Food is prepared promptly. All meals are served in foam clam shell boxes. No table service so place order at counter and they will call you when it's ready. Tables are clean, and plastic utensils are provided. Credit card is NOT an option for payment. This place has become our go to for take out. Usually we have enough left over for a light lunch the next day. read more

It is very shabby looking from the outside, and I would have NEVER stopped in here if it weren't for the good Yelp reviews. Despite the appearances, it is clean. In fact, someone was always very busy sweeping the floors and tidying up while I was there. And the food is not only inexpensive, but fresh and tasty. I ended up eating there two nights in a row during my visit to Farmington, and will be going back again the next time I am in town. So, don't be fooled by appearances, they are putting their effort into what truly counts - tasty food and friendly service. read more

I've been eating here since I was 10. I've moved away but anytime I'm back I make sure I stop here. I've tried places like Sakura in malls and it doesn't ever measure up. Good prices and great food. read more

Stopped by Teriyaki Chicken Combo to give my stomach a break from green and red chilies (haha) and I'm glad I did. Everything was so yummy! I was really surprised at how good the egg rolls were too. My mom makes egg rolls at home, and there is a tofu shop by my house that makes the best egg rolls. These are almost just as good :D! read more
