Chili is never hot. Out of the many times I have been there, the food has been bland such as the rice. The rice has been undercooked. I ordered the skillet and the bell peppers were sliced thick. Havent had a bad experience until they closed the one in the shopping center off East Main. Been to the one on west main where this is the review. Food has been good every time but the waiter. I understand covid & being short staffed but same waiter each time & horrible service. He basically takes your order & brings your check as he sees you get up to go to the register. He didnt bring us our food (someone else did), didnt check on us, didn't bring the to go box, wanted sopaillas but again we seem to get the same waiter every time. This last time he even yelled when I confronted him as he was approaching me as i was walking to the register. Unreal how he left & continued to yell from around the corner. Gross gross gross. We ordered DoorDash and I did not realize my husband got Mexican from this place we have not eaten here in 10 years because it has been disappointing every time. Still not knowing where it came from I'm halfway through my meal feeling sick. I ordered the taco salad and he got a Navajo taco. I mentioned my meat tasted strange and then he started to notice it too...both got the ground beef. My taco shell also was stale and kind of wet, not crispy. We do not live far from the restaurant so it cannot be condensation in the bag or anything DoorDash did wrong...The meat was just super off and we were sick the rest of the night and had bathroom problems in the next day. Just passing thru and landed here as we were headed towards Colorado. This was a qaint little spot. Their tables had a bunch of local business ads on it. Thats kind of old school but still a good idea lol. I saw their lunch special and decided to try the margarita they had advertised. I chose the Mango and it was served with fresh jalapeno slices on top. I liked the kick to it on top of the sweetness. We were a little dissapointed with the Vegetarian Navajo Tacos. Presentation-wise looked decent. As far as tastes, I added black pepper and the salsa from the chips cause it was a bit bland. I didnt like the fact that the fry bread was soggy due to the "fresh pinto beans" when we received the order. I also thought it was overpriced $11 for a fry bread-lettuce-tomatoes-and wet pinto beans but i see where its priced cause its just big. It wouldve helped if they drained the juices from the beans. I had the enchiladas and it was okay the waitress was not to attentive we had to call for other people to assist us.

I've given this place multiple chances and services have been bad. Especially for a single person. The servers always tend to the bigger tables and neglect the single patrons. Definitely not authentic Mexican. I gave an extra star because our server was soooo attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. She was able to accommodate the large group I was with. But the food was bad, bland and overpriced. The shredded beef in the chimichanga was unseasoned and super dry. The chimichanga was tough and soggy. The Spanish rice looked and tasted like it was one of those packaged rice. I tried the open faced hamburger, no surprise the patty was smaller than the two large buns. The green chili sauce was decent. We tried their margarita but came in a small mason jar which is an odd choice to serve in that jar in a Mexican restaurant. But it tasted like sprite. There was a hostess who asked how many, then we were passed to another hostess but not until they were finished ending their conversation they started after we walked inside. I ordered the breakfast skillet with fajita beef for take out this morning but what i ordered and what i received were two different things. I was expecting eggs in my skillet and instead I got a beef fajita dinner. Great breakfast burritos. Stopped in on the suggestion of a dear friend who used to live in town. Knowing my fondness for breakfast burritos she said these were a must try. They did not disappoint, and neither did the green chili. I meant to take a picture but me & hubby both devoured it so fast there was no evidence left. Quality is terrible. I ordered the chicken enchiladas plate, which cost about $14, and I received two tiny rolled enchiladas (that seemed more like taquitos). I've eaten here a few times and I don't want to say it's great and I don't want to say it's awful either. Our server was awesome, she made sure our drinks stayed full and she had a terrific attitude. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and lots of Spanish/Mexican decor. The menu is packed full of all sorts of Mexican food, even a separate menu for the kiddos. Now, the food....I ordered the pork carnitas, it was dry. Drier than the Sahara desert! I almost had to take a drink of tea with every bite. The dish came with beans rice also with garnishments....which came in handy to supplement the dry carnitas. I don't know if I would come back here, I guess I'll give it another try in the future. Wow. This place is awesome. Steered here by a family recommendation, I came in figuring it was just another Mex restaurant with the routine menu. It's not. The menu has some serious chops, consisting of actual New Mexico-style food like Stuffed sopapillas, Navajo tacos, and stacked enchiladas. The food was absolutely delicious. The chili - both green and red - were spicy and substantial. Even the salsa with the chips was uniquely spicy and good. The service was good. The environment is cozy.
