Worst place to visit. They have no senior meals and I was denied kids meals. Didn't care for their "best coffee in town" after taking a sip but they still charged us for a sip of their coffee. Farmington definitely isn't customer friendly at all, especially this place downtown. No star for this place but was forced to give them 1 star. read more

What a shame. Tasty, well prepared breakfast items, at a fair price--but so unhealthy. Margarine and no butter for the toast; Hash browns fried in canola/veget. oil; Sdough. bread tastes like wonder bread; Jam for bread is fructose corn syrup; Orange juice is bad, store bought. Bacon likely has sodium nitrite. What I would do for a breakfast place here to take seriously people's health and use butter for toast and frying, real preserves for jam, real fresh squeezed orange juice, and no sodium nitrite in the bacon. It's no wonder that New Mexicans are generally in poor health, overweight, and have shorter lifespans than residents of other states. When I mentioned to the manager that I wish that they at least had butter available for the toast, he said "You're the first person to ever ask us for that." And yes, he did so with a straight face. I asked then about the oil used for everything else (cooking), and he said that it was a butter-flavored vegetable oil. I won't bother writing more. read more

This place is gross. I ordered the BLT and the bacon was raw and pink. The guy on America's Best Restaurant Roadshow said he liked crispy bacon - but TJ's BLT almost made me vomit. Farmington, NM, is the only place in the world where you have to specifically ask for CRISPY bacon or else you get raw pink bacon. read more

Always enjoyed TJ's, but today we went inside and was standing inside the door to wait to be seated. Others was in doorway waiting behind us. Server came up wanting door closed so ignored sitting us and started taking care of them. Was very rude ignoring us, so we said thank you for being rude and decided to leave. Our family of 7 stopped in for brunch.All the food was delicious! Biscuits, pancakes, eggs, omelets, French toast, ham, bacon, sausage, gravy, hash browns... everything was delicious! I have never seen biscuits so tall! All the food was amazing! The portions are large enough for more than one person to enjoy. The diner was clean and had a calm atmosphere even as staff were constantly working to make this a fantastic place. The friendly service was efficient, knowledgeable, and attentive. This diner is my favorite breakfast spot in Farmington! The hash browns are so good that you don't even need to add ketchup in for me. I always put ketchup on my hashbrowns, so that's saying a lot. The biscuits and gravy are amazing. I love the service as well. The waitresses are very attentive and on top of everything. If you happen to be in the area of Farmington NM and want some great food, give TJ's Diner a try. Their food is made to order, and they give generous portions. Everything on the menu looks delicious. The Green Eggs and Hash and the Two Car Pile-up (spicy) are my personal favorites. The staff is very friendly and will assist you if you have any questions about any items on the menu. They have lots of different food items, to choose from, on the menu for breakfast and lunch. Be aware that they do close at 2 pm and can get a bit busy during breakfast time. I will definitely visit TJ's on my next trip to Farmington area and look forward to introducing my friends to this business and their great food. read more

Classic diner with great service and coffee, reminded me of the diners you see in movies where it's very lively and lots of people in and out. Portions are huge, had the green eggs and hash with a side of pancakes and couldn't come close to making a dent in it. Pancakes were awesome, just wish the green chile had a bit more spice. Not a huge deal though and would come back here if I'm ever in Farmington again. read more

I walked into this townie legend becuz some one I work with told me it is too legit. It is downtown plenty of parking and the place is huge. I asked where I can sit and Katie my server said " anywhere you like and pointed me to a booth. The menu looks too good to be true and as I was thinking Katie told me the cinnamon rolls are home made . I ordered the beast and was only able to eat 1/2 ! Let me start by saying the food and service is good. The reason for the 3 stars is for punishing debit/credit card users. They charge a fee if you pay with a card, and they do not disclose this until you are at the counter and see it on your receipt. Also, the fee was rather high for just one person. I do not like being hit with hidden fees at the end of a meal. Once seeing this charge on my receipt, I did look for signs disclosing this fee. I saw none. They should also disclose the fee amount the card companies charge so that we know we are only paying the card fees and nothing more. As it stands, we don't actually know what we are paying for. Certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. Just an FYI, if you plan to try TJ's Diner. Also, while this diner is good, there are other places just as good, if not better, that do not charge a fee for using a debit/credit card. read more

My wife ordered the 4-egg Kitchen Sink Omelet with extra green chile sauce on top, and I too ordered the Kitchen Sink Omelet but without the bell pepper. Both omelets were absolutely DELICIOUS! I think it could be the only diner that features a movie star, Michael Douglas. It's like your typical downtown diner with a menu to please just about anyone. The prices are fair and portions are pretty large. The service was good, the waitress kept up with our drinks and she kept checking on us. The food was delicious, although there was only two waitresses and the place was busy which made our food a little bit on the cold side. We were driving through Farmington on our way out of New Mexico and stopped at TJ's on a whim. We were very impressed with their breakfast. The waffle combo was outstanding. We eat out a lot and TJ's has to be one of the best breakfast's I've ever had. My boyfriend had the biscuits and gravy and these were home made biscuits, just outstanding stuff.
