I bought a Navajo burger from there and the patty was cut in half. I'm very disappointed.

Being from Texas and eating Whataburger constantly as a pure-blooded Texan, this was certainly, a burger. Service was fine, but we did not receive our whole order, missing a drink and a whole burger. We let them know and they made it for us, after a while and overcooked the #%$! out of my wife's burger. Patties were dry and hard, very chewy. Fries were undercooked and chewy as well. We were very disappointed after going out of our way to try this place. I would have rather gone to the Burger King across the street. I do not recommend. read more

Considering there is not much in Shiprock, NM this burger joint is above average. If one is tired from the regular fast food in the local area or if you are passing through stop by Thatsaburger. (And no I am not affiliated with the company in anyway.) lol. I like ordering a double thatsaburger combo or a navajo burger. The fries and drink on the combo meal came as large. The hamburger meat taste above average and the bun and fixings taste a little better too. The fries taste different and are quite good. This establishment also has some navajo food also, for example, stew, frybread, just to name a few. So give the place a try and clog your arteries with cow and/or sheep meat. Stopped for lunch on a Thursday. The service was fast & friendly. Ordered the Justaburger combo with fries and tea. My other half ordered Thatsaburger combo with onion rings & a chocolate shake. We both added green chilis & cheese to our burgers.The meal came out hot. But we were a little disappointed to see the cheese slices were not melting. Also the patties were pretty thin. The fries & onion rings were good. We choose this restaurant based on other Yelp reviews, many of which were 4 & 5 stars. If you ever go through Shiprock, NM you have to stop at Thatsaburger. Of course we had to try it coming from the home of the Whataburger. We came in and the owner immediately greeted us and carried on conversation. Super nice guy!! But they had my favorite orange cream milkshake and it's the best I've ever had! This review is based on the chili with pork and hominy-- wow. I love how spicy it is and it is very flavorful. They give you a bunch of crackers to "stretch" it but the heat of the chili was just a great way to warm up on cold nights. I was a little skeptical from the looks of the outside but just venture in! I had the Navajo taco. It's was heaped with beans, fresh tomatoes, green chilies, lettuce, onions and cheese. They also serve large burgers and fries with fry sauce (a Utah condiment staple) that's somewhat harder to find outside of Utah but ohhhh so delicious! Trust me. The food was all very good. We've stopped here twice now en route from AZ to CO and have found it to be immaculate, with excellent service and an interesting, varied menu. Best burger place in the middle of nowhere. I'd choose this place over the Burger King and Mc Donald's that are right down the road. I love that they use Romain lettuce for their burgers. The green chili pesole was awesome! I just kept staring at the soup expecting unicorns or fairies to come out because my brain couldn't compute the awesomeness that must have been magic. I created a yelp account just for this. After having my daughter I use the drive thru because I'm usually on the go, all 4 times I have come here. They take a minimum of 10mins for orders, before coming here my daughter is car ready (clean diaper, fed, burped, a toy she can play with in her hand and calm as a clam with a bright smile) but they take too long that she gets fussy, the drive thru lady acts like a zombie no motivation and no smile. But today of all days my daughter was fighting her sleep and teething is very close, they took forever for two meals and when I was leaving I hear the drive the lady talk smack about me letting my daughter cry. It says your a family friendly, I say nope your not. After having people constantly telling me how to raise my daughter and the in laws now hearing a zombie suddenly awaken and start smack talking about me. NEVER EVER COMING BACK.
