Michelle does nails very well, but I feel it inappropriate, offensive, also a slap in the face when she, who I last saw 3-4 weeks ago, made remarks to me while doing my nails, about others in her shop, mainly that "Americans" don't know how to work! If I could give this place minus 5 stars I would. The worst nail job I've EVER had. I had my nails done the day before Thanksgiving and on Saturday evening my thumb nail had popped completely off and the other nails were lifting. I went in on Monday and was told I needed to come back within 3 days to get them free. Really? Even though they were closed for the holiday? She told me they would fix my thumb for free but charge me to "fix" the rest of them..Why the hell would I pay them to screw up my nails "again"? She was extremely rude! I'm new to the area and it was my first "and last" time there. Customer service is as foreign to them and the English language. Rude, rude, rude. I'd run past this place. read more

My best friend came down from Portland and wanted to take me to get a pedi/mani for my birthday. We are both serious procrastinators so Saturday morning we started calling around. After finding that most Eugene nail places are playing the game of highway robbery (Shame on "other nail places" in Eugene! Really $80.00 for a half hour pedi/mani, are you serious!?!) we called Fantasy Nails and were able to get the perfect time slot for our schedule and even better yet, they were very reasonably priced. I walked in and it was a nice little spot. There was only one person working, with another person just helping out with misc things I guess. I waited about 15 minutes, then when it was my turn, I was notified that it's Oregon law that I have to supply my own nail files and that I can purchase one from her for a dollar. I've been getting my nails done for the last year in Oregon and this was the first I'd heard of such a thing... Either way, she was extremely fast which is nice. I have tried about 10 different nail salons in Eugene with not great results. Then I found Cassidy at Fantasy Nails. It's not a fancy salon, but Cassidy does a great job so I keep going back. Cuticle clean-up is very good, and I bring Mr. Pumice so she can really work on my heels. Pretty good massage too. But where Cassidy truly shines is with the polish. She has a unique technique that seems messy and takes just a tad longer, but it's so worth it because it makes my polish last about ten days. My two complaints are the polish selection is fairly limited, and they don't have Wi-Fi, but these are quick changes if they'll invest. read more

I'm always worried about nail salons because it's so hit or miss but I took a chance on Fantasy nails this past weekend. I made a deluxe pedicure appointment with Kim two hours before I wanted to get in. The pedicure was by far the best pedicure I've ever had. Kim was wonderful and I loved talking to her but she also was great about letting me relax and read my magazine. She also did the cutest nail design on my toes for Valentine's Day. Everyone at the salon greeted me and were really sweet. The place was very clean and I never for a second felt like I was rushed which has happened a lot at previous salons. Honestly one of the WORST places I've EVER been too. I went with a friend thank god.... They're SUPER UNFRIENDLY.... The lady that did my friends pedi looked beyond annoyed that we were even there. The guy that I got was a little less hostile, but still didn't say 2 words during the whole pedi. All I got was a, "you paying together or separately?". I have been getting my nails (acrylic) done by Michelle for almost 7 years. When she moves salons, I move with her! She is very reasonably priced and does a beautiful and quick job. My job is hard on my nails, and she makes the perfect length and strength so they last. She has color acrylic also, which I love. And to save money I got once every 3 weeks for a backfill and my nails always stay nice in that 3 week wait. read more

I had great expectations from having read every previous review but perhaps the bar was set too high because I was disappointed. It's your typical Asian run nail salon, nothing special and in fact a little janky. I took my 12 y.o. daughter for her first official mani/pedi and she was thrilled. But she was uncomfortable by having two people watching the tech do everything on her. They trimmed her nails well and managed to make them look nice, which is really saying something in their favor. And the gal, Kim, that worked on my daughter really did do a good job, other than having two observers. But the guy who worked on my feet didn't trim my toenails evenly and didn't remove all of my previous nail polish. I have a thick toenail because of running and he didn't cover the edge so now it looks funky. The gal who did my finger nails I doubt is even licensed nor has much experience. I had to remind her to finish filing my nails, and they weren't done well. The older two techs kept telling her what to do. And she didn't do a great job with the polish. Observing others who came in, I got the idea that they say "yes" to everyone and overbook themselves. It seems like there were several regular customers, so maybe my experience is just a bad one because the squeezed us in and gave me the B team. read more

I really like this salon, I have had problems in the past when I get my nails done that they insist I only get fills and have even just put polish on the tips when I want a new set with a new color tips...at this salon they always give me what I want! I'm am extremly picky and can't stand when I see a line from a fill and I have never had to worry about that here because they do what I ask and want! Michelle is fast and shapes them perfect! She has even recommended things that make them look really cool even though it might be inconvienent and time consuming on her end! First off, the whole reason for my choice in this place was because of the reviews here on yelp. I walked in to a nicely decorated place with a good set up, but dont be fooled by the looks.. I got ripped off, literally. The man doing my manicure asked what kind I wanted and told me solar is the best for you nails, I explained I wanted the $28 package since I'm not worried about the health of my nails since I hardly ever get manicures. He continued without pushing me to do the solar. After 30 mins of him being really cold towards me and not even smiling or keeping light conversation (and making my pinky nail bleed), he charges me $36. FOR SOLAR.. Already ran my card and everything. So I explained how that is pretty bad business to ignore a costumes wishes and stormed out. I called back an hour later to ask what the difference between the $28 manicure and the solar one, turns out he didn't even give me a solar manicure but charged me for one.. Then the lady back tracked and said mine was a solar, she kept tripping over her own words trying to save her ass..regardless if they are solar or not, I'm pretty upset that my wishes were ignored and they didn't even want to make it right..I will let everyone I know to never go here. read more

I was pleased with my experience here earlier today. The first technician who helped me seemed to be in a bad mood, and was slightly rough/heavy-handed with the tools. Well, Jimmy is gone and the gal who replaced him did just an ok job on my nails. They look fine but she had issues keeping the polish on my nails so there was a lot of cleanup time. She dug in a little too hard with the tool and made a toe bleed, and when she was pumicing my heels she scraped up my ankles. She was a bit too instructive for my taste and by the end I just wanted to say "I've had my nails done before, thanks, I know the drill!". In the future I'll either make appointments with the other gentleman there or go elsewhere. read more

This was my first and only experience with this salon. I was blown away by how rude and unprofessional the staff and the lady was that did my nails. I went in for a simple fill, pink nail bed and white tips, with gel topcoat. The lady was extremely rude, and rough with my hands, nails, and equipment. She filed the product nearly off my nails to the point that it was burning. She only filed the tops of my nails and not the sides, so the sides are thicker than the actual nail bed. I had to correct her over 10 times to get what she missed and still she failed to do so. My nails look like a child did them. She never filed off the areas of discoloration, or any area where the product was thinning from having them on for 2 weeks. I got them filled yesterday and they are already lifting. I was so upset by the time that she was done that I didn't ask her to redo them because honestly I didn't want her touching my nails again. I left her no tip. She knew I was unhappy and never said or did anything to make it right with me. I will never go back to this place again. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

The first couple times I went they were nice then gradually they started ignoring my requests and performing rush jobs. I decided to give them one last chance because hey, everyone has bad days. However this last time I made appointments for a friend and I and when we arrived they had the nerve to act as if we were an inconvenience to them!
