Lasr week I found fantastic rooter on yelp and my 1 year old heat pump electric Ao smith water heater was leaking water. They came out within a few hours of my initial call and the tech I didn't get his name was on time and polite. He explained to me my difference options between a electric hot water heater or a tank less. What i liked about this company they didn't try to ripp me off or upsell me on unnecessary things. This time, I had a plugged up bathtub, which ended up being hard to snake. They diagnosed a longer-term problem as hairpinned drain piping under the house (documented with video). I hired a big-name local plumber who charged me over $1K to use their hydro snake to help me remove a blockage that filled up my first-floor tub, and after they left it backed up again. That's when I called Fantastic. They came out in the late afternoon, assessed the problem within 90 minutes, and suggested opening the first-floor toilet with their commercial snake. Voila! We had a sewer main back up at our house at 6 PM and called Fantastic Rooter Plumbing. Jaime Olvera called my wife back immediately and within one hour he was on site. He snaked the line and it was functional within 30 minutes. More importantly, he put a camera down the line and actually assessed the problem that we have been dealing with for years. Apparently we had a sewer line clean out that was buried near a tree in our front yard. None of the previous plumbers have ever told us this. The next day Jaime returned to our house, dug down to the clean out and located it. he then extended the pipe up to grade level and reinstalled the Christy box and cover. I discovered a leaking pipe in May 2020 & searched Yelp, panicked. This company had great reviews and I'm happy to add to that now. I sent out multiple inquiries through Yelp late in the evening (nearly 11pm) and Jaime, the owner, quickly replied. He coordinated for a technician to come out the next day. Gerardo (our technician) arrived with his apprentice Humberto. They were efficient and installed some copper pipes that ran along the ceiling of the garage, and we appreciated that they were careful in cutting the sheetrock to allow for it to be patched up in the future. Not reliable, nonprofessional. Clearly not fantastic. At the day of service, they told me the estimate was wrong, and it will cost a lot more. Second thing, the technician tells me he doesn't have the part he was supposed to install, he will need to order it. That part was clearly specified on the work order for that day. On 11/20/2017, my mother noticed there was a water leak in the garage coming from our 8 years old water heater. My sister saw Fantastic Rooter Plumbing and she gave them a call at around 0700. Appointment was confirmed and Eduardo arrived on time and was mindful to drive up our driveway without bottoming his work truck. Our driveway is steep and could of possibly damaged his truck and gouged our driveway. I have seen it happen many times to others that drive up our driveway and it irritates me every time when it happens. First impression of meeting Eduardo, he was professional, personable, and detailed oriented. From my own personal experience, my family and I have been through so many hired home repair technicians claiming they will provide the best results backed by many years of experience, then up selling, and convincing us they are the right people for my home repair needs. Due to the many negative experiences mentioned above, I was reluctant. I was prepared to get multiple bids for our water heater replacement. Eduardo explained to me our broken water heater was out of warranty. He then checked the heater to identify the location of the leak and pointed it out to me. At no point did he hassled me for a replacement. When asked, Eduardo gave me options of a replacement. He explained to me the two options in details and he allowed me to make my own informed decision considering cost, reliability, long-term maintenance by owner or professional technician, and when installation of a new water heater will be completed. Post one hour of discussion with Eduardo, we contracted him for a tankless water heater replacement. I still had doubts and was fearful of contracting someone to do a job that will cause me a huge headache post installation. On 12/21/17 installation day, I was not available to be home to monitor the progress as I have spoken to Eduardo the day before, however my mother will be there. My mother, bless her heart, is ignorant of anything in regards to home replair. My mother is intelligent, just that she lacks knowledge of things and situations like this. Being at work and not able to be there for the install made me feel a bit uneasy. I called my mother at noon for update. She explained to me they are here and will hopefully be done soon (her opinion). At 1600, I messaged my mother for an update and she told me they are still there. Holy Moses, I was thinking to myself, they started at 0900 and are still there at 1600, something must be wrong. I called my mother and Eduardo while I was on the road to figure out what in the hell is going on and my mother told me to come home. Eduardo explained to me that my mother was concerned that the water is not hot enough. My mother wanted water to be Satan's hell hot coming from all the faucets. Eduardo explained to me that he does not feel safe setting the water temperature too high because of children at the house and I agreed. When I arrived home, I was amazingly surprised with the work done. Photos I have uploaded depicts why it took 3 installers, the length of time it took, and the aftermath of looking like nothing every happened (Eduardo and his crew cleaned up after themselves). Yesterday I called a few of plumbers them for the emergency of sewer clogging around 7 pm, only Good 1 Minor and Brian of Fantastic came but none were workable because it happened far more than 100 ft away. Brian eventually got an instant help from his partner who brought up a truck with big 500 ft machine that worked! We worked with Fantastic Rooter and the behest of our Realtor. We needed to get our bathtub replaced pretty quickly as we were getting ready to sell our house. They came out to our house, were very professional and said they'd get back to us with a quote within a short period of time. Initially we didn't receive anything. It took more than a week until we did receive the quote. During that time I did not get any updates directly from them without me initiating the conversation (this communication issue was continuous throughout the project). We had asked for the quote to show the various line items of the project, including replacement of the bathtub, the faucet, fixing the sheet rock, and flooring if it was necessary. The quote did not specifically call out these line items at all an didn't include amounts for the sheet rock or flooring. I received the quote and decided to move forward with them as it seemed like a reasonable price and we were in a bit of a hurry. I accepted the quote online and did not hear back from them. I had to call to actually schedule the work for them to come out (though the quote site specifically says they will call you). They came out and did the work, making sure to clean up when they were done. They did a pretty good job at getting everything done even though there were some issues with materials getting here on time (not their fault). When the job was done the sheet rock wasn't repaired and there was a large hole on the ground where they had removed the part that was connecting the flooring to the tub. Before they left I asked if they would be able to do some simple/quick repair so that the tub could be used and so that it would look nice when we listed it. The person that was here said they could do that and for me to schedule time with the office after we got the house painted (which was happening the following week). I paid them the full value of the quote that day, but I received a call from the office as well as the person from the site saying the charge did not go through. It was clear on my bank statement that it did and it eventually showed up on theirs. When I asked them about coming back out to do the simple repair that I asked he noted that he spoke with his manager (Jaime) and would not be able to come out and do the repair as it isn't their specialty and they didn't want to do a bad job. I was very clear that I didn't care if it looked beautiful, as long as it was functional. They still refused to do the work, so we ended up having to pay someone last minute to put something in place (also didn't look great). Overall they did a fine job on the replacement of the tub, but their communication was awful, and the part at the end where they wouldn't do something simple to help us out left an awful taste. read more

I had a bathroom ceiling leak coming from the upstairs bathroom shower. I called a nearby plumbing company on Yelp to come diagnose and assess the problem. They told me I had to remodel the entire bathroom to fix this problem, I thought this sounded ridiculous. I wanted a second opinion. I quickly called Fantastic Rooter Plumbing afterwards. Eduardo and his team arrived almost immediately and discovered the root problem through his examination. Turns out, I only needed to repair a hot water pipe. Eduardo and his team were thorough, efficient, and performed a "Fantastic" job. He even provided me with excellent plumbing education that would help protect my home in the future as well, which I found very helpful. The work he performed took about an 2 hours. When you have "Fantastic" in your name you better be good! These guys are really really good and I am very thankful for finding them. Monday night a valve in our bathroom had failed and water was streaming out. We had to turn off the water to the house to stop it. I sent out an urgent request for service through Yelp and Jaime responded. He dispatched Brian to resolve our issue. Brian is very patient, professional, helpful, and just a really nice person. We agreed the entire valve needed to be replaced. I was expecting this to take 2-3 days. You know how it goes. They assess the issue, have to order the parts, and then return at a later date to fix it. Here I am thinking how are we going to get by without water for 2-3 days. That's when Brian informed me he could have it fixed today. He will called the parts and spent the remainder of the day doing his plumbing thing. I was told by my property manager that I had a leak in water purification system under my sink at a rental in downtown San Jose. The problem is... I live in Dallas! So I called Fantastic Rooter and they were out there almost immediately! I asked them to take the water purification system out. There was also a water line connected to the fridge, so there was plenty of problem solving and parts that had to be created to make this work. I could also pay electronically, which was incredibly convenient. Also, the price was VERY reasonable. This is the only plumber I will ever call. Too expensive for a 10 mins job. Technician came to see the site. I was told he need to replace the gaskits at joints and some portions of the under sink drain pipe. Eventually only 2 rubber gaskits were replaced and with the existing pipes and other fixtures was kept. They charged me 155$ for a 10 min work. Regret getting work done by them. Not sure how long the temporary fix will hold on and if they will come back to fix if it leaks again when money making is the only motive of this business. We had Brian come to our home to fix a broken pipe under the sink. After SJ water company had done work in the area we were left with a flood of water under the sink. At 430pm I called the office was greeted by very friendly staff and had a tech in route to our home with in the hour. Brian was great, very helpful explained everything that happened ways for us to protect our home in the future. I had a leaky hose valve. The water was coming from a very corroded nipple that I was hesitant to try repairing myself, because if it broke or was made worse, no water for the entire house until a plumber comes. Fantastic Rooter gave me a bid about half of the other companies and showed up on time. They easily fixed it and the REDUCED my quoted price because it was a quick fix.
