New pex from meter (its wet because I hosed it down)
Jeff B.

Shane is great. My main blew out from a surge and he got me up and running same day even though its the holidays and last minute. Major props and super grateful. Best plumber in town.

New ball valve!
Zak P.

Shane was super responsive, reasonable rates, gave a quick estimate. Replaced a leaking gate valve with a new ball valve. I would recommend Good 1 Minor Plumbing to anyone that asks for a recommendation.

Punctual, Precision, Perfection: I am a happy repeat customer. Shane is prompt to respond to your inquiry. Shane listens to your concerns and challenges. He is a trusted adviser and presents the best option to find resolution. I would recommend Shane for everyone looking to find a solution to any plumbing project or repair. See the pictures of my families new water softener with pre-filter and post filter. It is a work of art!

Another great/quality work!

After calling a few places Rocky I felt like went out of his way to take care of this situation. Not only did they bring her a loaner to get her by but they were there the next day to install a full A/C - heating unit. The value for everything they did I felt was very reasonable and done immediately. His crew, Rafael, Sebastian, Mario and Eric were at her home all day long. I would highly recommend.

But, I timed the visit, and it was a few minutes under an hour, and that included everything; the estimate and repair labor. The bill was $ 758.00 for that hour. I talked to the repairman about the cost of parts versus labor and he said they were not separated out. I talked to the business owner later on. He said that of the $758, the parts were about $80....although I found Amazon is cheaper. He did go through his costs with me, stating they were part of the job, but most had nothing to do with the repair but rather, costs of running a large corporation ......costs such as .....employee benefits ......travel time to and from the job ......office management ......payments on his fleet of trucks, my guess ......profit for the owner that the worker never receives. On the other hand, the costs of a self-employed serviceman would be parts and labor only, in his bill, usually $50-$100 an hour plus parts. So, bottom line, it was a simple job with cheap parts which I accepted ....trusting that it would require more time and cost than it actually did. My bad, I should have gotten another estimate, which means a second cost for a second estimate, but in this case I should have paid it. SINCE I KNEW THE REPAIR THAT WAS NEEDED, I SHOULD'VE BEEN ABLE TO BARGAIN A BIT LOWER WITH SUBSEQUENT CONTRACTORS... SOMETHING I WILL REMEMBER IN MY FUTURE CONTRACTED JOBS. My view, everything was legal, but the service of a large air conditioning company should be noticeably cheaper or else it offers no benefit to offset the cost. I saw no such benefit. Finally, I would encourage you to talk to the owner, he's pleasant and well spoken. He will have a lot to say.

Mike's Air was fantastic. I can't recommend them highly enough, especially Slava, the technician…read morewho took care of us. Our A/C stopped working during a stretch of 100-degree weather. The first company I called I asked if he did repairs or only replacement systems. He said, "I do repairs. That's why it's in the name!" "Great!" I thought. When he checked our system he told me the compressor was bad, which was expected. I asked if he could replace it with a new or reconditioned compressor, but he said no, because the system was about 10 years old and used an older refrigerant. He said the only option wasto replace the entire system. He also said we had an asbestos-wrapped pipe that would need to be removed by another company before he could do the work. He offered to get me in contact with that company, but never did, even after I followed up. So, in the meantime I decided to call Mike's Air. It was late on a Friday. We had Slava out by Monday. He checked the system, confirmed the compressor was bad, and gave me a very different answer: yes, the compressor could be replaced. He was straightforward about the pros and cons of buying an entirely new system vs just replacing the compressor. No selling. Just facts. The price for replacement was very reasonable compared to a full system, so I figured it only has to last about 4 years for it to pay off vs buying a new system now. I gave the deposit and about a week later the compressor arrived. Slava came out the very next day -- on a Saturday -- and installed it. Everything is working again and we couldn't be happier. Not just cuz we saved money (short-term), but I felt confident that Slava was doing a professional job. What impressed me most was that Slava/Mike's Air actually gave us a repair option instead of automatically pushing a full replacement. Slava was knowledgeable, straightforward and professional throughout the entire process, as was Rhea back at Mike's. Highly recommended.

I had a great experience with Marvin and Miguel servicing my 20+ year-old HVAC system. I believe…read moreMiguel was the senior technician, but both of them were extremely knowledgeable, efficient, polite, and professional throughout the entire process. They were actually my second opinion. The first company I called was one of the larger big-box HVAC companies, and they quoted me over $3,000 worth of work. I didn't feel like their recommendations were actually addressing the issues I knew my HVAC system was having, so I decided to get another opinion. I'm very glad I did. When Miguel and Marvin came out for the initial diagnosis, they were able to identify the problems right away and clearly explain what actually needed to be done. Their quote was very reasonable and, honestly, cheaper than I expected, especially considering they were working on a system that's over 20 years old. Compared to what I had been quoted by the larger company, I felt like I was getting a much more accurate diagnosis and a fair price for the work that was actually necessary. Scheduling was easy, and they were able to come back the very next day with everything they needed to complete the work. They also provided before-and-after photos, which I really appreciated. After the service, my AC was blowing colder and stronger than I can ever remember. A separate issue came up afterward when I noticed water pooling underneath my return vent. They came back out and thoroughly checked and cleared the drain lines to make sure debris wasn't causing a backup. After further inspection, they discovered that the problem wasn't actually a clogged line--it was related to how the HVAC system had originally been installed. There was a restriction affecting the drain pan that was causing water to overflow into the return vent. They were able to diagnose the actual cause and fix it within about an hour. Once they were finished, they cleaned up their entire work area and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. As a first-time homeowner, I was honestly nervous about having someone come look at such an old HVAC system. I was worried I would immediately be told that the whole thing needed to be replaced and that I'd have to spend thousands of dollars on a new system. Miguel and Marvin made the entire process incredibly easy. They took the time to diagnose what was actually wrong, explained everything clearly, and fixed what needed to be fixed without trying to push unnecessary work or a new system on me. It's a huge relief knowing I now have an HVAC company I feel comfortable calling when something goes wrong. Marvin and Miguel were knowledgeable, honest, thorough, professional, and reasonably priced. 100% recommend them, especially if you're a homeowner looking for technicians you can trust.

I guess we're fortunate that our 20+ year old front unit kicked the bucket before the summer began. Sean from Fusion Star has an uncanny ability to not just diagnose issues with a central air unit but also your house's ductwork and vents- whoever flipped our house before we got it did a pretty terrible job repurposing the existing unit with completely mismatched ductwork and (Sean's words) "Mickey Mouse" wiring. Sean took his time to talk us through proposed changes to the system and sent over an incredibly detailed project proposal. He explained the reasoning behind each of the items in the proposal and did not pressure us into any of the more expensive add-ons; he just let the proposal speak for itself. His team and the subcontractors he brought on were professional and left no trace after leaving. 3+ months after the installation, the best compliment I have for their work is we no longer even think about our 2 central air units. Our house is just comfortable all the time; the 'old' rear unit with the new ductwork and vents is operating much more quietly and efficiently and the new front heat pump is basically silent when it runs- you only notice it's on when you walk under a vent and feel a gentle breeze. Highly recommended.
