Bailey plumbing is out of control. We had them out as I've decided not to do any more plumbing. We got a quote for 2 items, one to replace the water feed valve to a toilet, & the other to set a toilet which I already purchased, a 1 1/2 hours at my speed job. His quote- $1200. I practically jumped out of my skin & as politely as I could, finished the conversation. I then had Thomas plumbing out. They have a flat hourly rate of approximately $325. They charged well below $400 & they're great! I'll never use Bailey again, so buyer beware. Get a second opinion. Rarely do I do Yelp reviews, but just compelled to do so now . read more

Please be careful if you contact Bailey Plumbing. We had a kitchen sink that was not draining. Bailey technicians arrived promptly and were very friendly. However, they barely looked at the sink, crawled under the house, and said we had an emergency situation with our horizontal drain pipes which needed immediate attention. The price quoted was $31,000. Since we are senior citizens, they used high-pressure tactics to get us to sign a contract as soon as possible. When we contacted another local plumber for the kitchen sink problem, they assured us the drain pipes were fine and fixed the sink problem for around $300. We are very disappointed in Bailey Plumbing and consider this an example of elder abuse. read more

I called for emergency water repair of what I believed was for pipes connected to water softener /filter. I was charged more than 9k! After the work inside the garage was completed, I was told I needed to replace the pipe that leads from outside of home into street and that it displayed a leak. I was quoted an additional $16,500! I had them stop all work, I ended paying more than 7k and after calling another company, they informed me there was no need to replace the entire pipe that leads to the street as I was initially told by this company. They only thing needed was for the pipe yo be cut and replaced. I was also told that the initial work I was charged more than 7K for was in actuate so basically I got ripped off by this company. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND ASK FOR MULTIPLE QUOTES FROM VARIOUS COMPanies! read more

I've been a big fan of Bailey Plumbing (aka Gladiator Repipe). They did the plumbing for our kitchen remodel (water, gas and waste lines), replaced our crumbling cast iron waste pipes, installed a tankless water heater, installed a pressure reducing valve, replaced our main waste line(s) that was clogged with tree roots, and added hot water recirculation lines - and more. The work was well done, and while not cheap, I thought it was reasonably priced for the quality of labor and the effort required. Unfortunately the most recent experience was a disappointment. We heard the sound of running water in our bathroom. Called on a Saturday to have a technician dispatched. The cost of the dispatch was more than I expected ($170, less than a year ago it was $60), but that's not the problem. The problem is that after arriving promptly, REP quickly located the leak (I pointed it out to him as I had found it in the time between the call and his arrival). He took a photo - there was a pinhole leak in a copper elbow located at the bottom of a floor joist. The elbow was installed when we made an addition to our house over 20 years ago. REP disappeared into his truck where I guess he was wrestling with the billing system. He came back after about 20 minutes with a bid to replace the elbow of $3000. Yep, $3000 to replace one exposed 1/2" copper elbow. It was in a crawl space, but it's under our addition. It's tall enough to sit up, and we even have a piece of old carpet in there to keep the dust down. And the access was very close to the leak. I told him that figure couldn't be right. That's what I'd expect to be charged to replace a whole water line. He went back to his truck - meanwhile I called dispatch. "Yes, that must be wrong"... is what dispatch told me. Another 15 minutes passed and he came back in with a bid of $1600 which he said resulted from talking with one of the owners. I also declined. Assuming I paid $40 for parts, and $400 an hour for labor (in 2024 the maximum prevailing service rate was $250/hour), I expected the replacement of a single exposed elbow to take at most an hour... so something in the neighborhood of $450 would have been reasonable, IMHO. I'm not unhandy and have done a fair amount of plumbing myself... so I ordered the fitting(s) I needed (already had 1/2" copper pipe and all the tools on hand). And in about 2 hours (including 2 round trips to the hardware store), and about 45 minutes of effort I replaced the defective elbow myself. I had to make a second trip because I realized the scrap piece of copper tubing I had on hand had a nick in it - necessitating another fitting and a short length of extra pipe "just in case". My out of pocket cost was $21. OWNER RESPONSE: About 4 days after posting my prior review, and having sent an email, an owner of the business contacted me and said the price should have been about $510 - which is a bit higher than I'd expect, but much more reasonable than the $3000 or $1600 quotes. They indicated it was literally the first week on the job for REP. He also let me know that one of the main reasons for high prices is that insurance costs are impossibly high - I don't remember the exact figure he quoted me, but I believe it was something like $900 per DAY. Unfortunately this episode of overcharging wasn't the only recent negative experience. I've been referring people to Bailey Plumbing for the last 9 years. Recently a friend and a neighbor both complained about the service and costs of plumbing by Bailey Plumbing. I don't know all the details in these cases, but it makes me less likely to recommend Bailey Plumbing/Gladiator Repipe. Their staff and ownership are all like-able, thoughtful people, so it pains me to be negative at all. SUBSEQUENT FINDINGS: Since my prior review, I had a thorough termite inspection, and in the report, it was noted "it appears when waste lines were replaced, workers left soil piled up above the concrete pillars and in contact with the support posts" (this gives subterranean termites a direct path to wood). Bailey Plumbing are the ones who replaced the waste lines for us. The inspector didn't find evidence of invasion by that oversight, but we now have a $300 line item to "remove soil from posts". read more

Well i had planned not to leave this review because i own a big part of the prob ... Had a pipe burst. Bailey Plumbing responded quickly. Got to the underlying issue quickly. My bad... I did not ask for an estimate from the outset. When you are dealing with a leak above your family room it's understandable. So Bailey did the repair and then I got the invoice. $2300 to replace 9 inches of 3/4 inch copper pipe. Wow... As I have other plumbing work in the mix I engaged another plumber on a more significant repair. So two pictures showing the Bailey $2300 repair of 9 inches of 3/4 inch copper with 2 bends vs the $1350 repair to replace the 1-1/4 inch shutoff and PRV of my 26 yr old house. Bailey Plumbing... just say no? Ridiculous pricing although the techs were capable and personable. Owner maybe looking to take advantage of the emergency I was dealing with?? Not a place I would seek out. A number of better local alternatives. read more

Called them because Gemini indicated they could be a good resource. We have a blocked gutter drain. We need to have a camera see whether it's a blockage or if the pipe is crushed. If blocked, we wanted to have them do a hydro-jetting service to clear. The good: They were very quick to respond and was able to come out immediately (within an hour). And the person who showed up was nice and professional. The bad: they quoted $549 for the camera and $4,800!!!! for hydro-jetting. When I said no, he lowered the camera price to $329 (more reasonable) and indicated it would be applied to the hydro-jetting service. But that price for hydro-jetting is ridiculous. I told them no. Unfortunately, I'm out the $59 inspection fee. Gemini indicated this service should cost $600-1,200, depending on length and other factors. I'm going to call around. If the price I was quoted by Bailey is not out of line with other quotes, I'll come back and edit this review. read more

Bailey Plumbing is our go to for all our plumbing needs. We've used them multiple times at our house and our rental. Everyone that we have had the pleasure of working with has been polite, informative and talented. They always give options and clearly state the price along with the service. We've never had a problem getting ahold of them, and we've never had to wait long for them to come. Their work is quality work and they definitely stand behind their service. I had recommended Bailey to friends and family and they have all had the same experience. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! read more

Avoid at all costs! They gave me an unsolicited quote. I checked around and the price they quoted me was over double what other companies charge. Furthermore, they wanted to do work that was not needed. To make matter worse, an employee called and argued with me, despite me telling him I didn't want to use their services. Eventually, he got the message and let me hang up. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Had the worst experience with this company over the last week. I called them to schedule inspection of plumbing and drains. Explained all the details about my house to the office and what is needed (including camera for drains as my house is on a concrete slab). The office lady confirmed that we do 62 point inspection and everything is included and our plumbers know what to do. I scheduled the inspection and they charged me the inspection price right away ($169). So, first they came out on Wednesday (a guy named Alex) and showed up without a camera. He told me that he can do plumbing inspection but does not have camera to check drains. I asked him to reschedule and at this point he had seen everything in my house to know what to do and said he will come back with the camera next time and we rescheduled to Friday. On Friday I get a call from the office that their camera is broken and they need to replace a part and have to reschedule to Monday. At this point, I wasn't sure how good they are and asked them if they want to continue or just cancel and refund me if they cannot do the inspection given the slab structure of the house. Again, the office person said that they know how to do it and they do it all the time and it is just a broken part that they need to repair to be able to do the inspection. So, I rescheduled to Monday. On Monday they came back out with the camera and told me what they will do and said that it is about $1150 extra to run the cameras in the drain. They also mentioned that Friday they got called into an emergency and there as no broken camera. They tried the blame the office girl for not telling me this but I also had the inspection guy (Alex) who came to my house the previous week and just said that he will come out with camera next time. he did not tell me anything about extra cost which now going to cost me $1300 instead of $169. Their office manager (a guy named John) had also been in contact with the inspection team everytime they came to my house and he did not bother to let me know about this extra cost in advance either. Worst service, no professionalism from manager, office staff and plumbing team. Also, wasted more than a week of my time. I would run away from this company and find someone else. Only silver lining is that when i asked to cancel and get my refund, they processed it right away. read more

Today I encountered one of the scariest moments I've had on the freeway. I was genuinely terrified by a Bailey Plumbing driver's behavior on the freeway. I was going 73 mph when he started tailgating me so closely there was barely a foot of space between our cars. I switched lanes three different times to let him pass as I don't NOT want to be hit. He was so reckless I feared for my life. He then followed me to every lane every time and continued tailgating for nearly 45 minutes. At one point, he even sped up just to pull next to me and stare into my car, which felt like outright harassment. This was extremely aggressive, unsafe, and dangerous not only for me but for everyone on the road. This was harassment. It was a smaller thin set man. No company should allow a driver like this to represent them. Vehicle details: 6L25310 license Cl#1044290 code on vehicle. I hope whoever owns this business can figure out who this man was and have a talk about safe driving and anger management. read more

Excellent customer service, craftsmanship and reliability. I am so pleased with the work that Bailey plumbing did for me today. Roy came out and inspected everything for my new washer and dryer, I felt very confident with his suggestions. Omar and Charlie came and completed all the plumbing work with Roy's supervision - A+ work! Then Carlos came and patched all the drywall and made everything look better than new. My new valves, casing and pipes are beautiful (can plumbing work be beautiful? Mine is!) and I'm ready for my new washer and dryer to be delivered. The work is a 12/10! So thankful to Bailey Plumbing. The benefits and kindness of a family business with the security and amenities of a large corporation. Roy even brought a teddy bear for my daughter. I am pleased to write another review for this great company. My 30+year old recirculating pump needed to be replaced. I knew just who to call. Prompt and professional service. We needed a quick fix for a burst copper pipe. My husband and I own an older property and have had trouble with the sewer since not long after we bought the place. By May of this year, one of the bathrooms was totally unusable, and the other was backing up frequently. We tried to get help from a plumber we'd used before. They struggled to get us an estimate of the work, and didn't seem like they could handle the job. A second plumber came out that seemed a bit more capable, but we weren't sure they had assessed the issues sufficiently. The two estimates we got from these companies were also wildly different from each other. After searching online and seeing good reviews for Bailey Plumbing, I called and was immediately impressed with Becky's and then John's professionalism. This continued as Sal helped move the project from estimating to completing the work. When our plumbing was still backing up a couple of days after the crew had completed the job, I contacted the office (Becky) feeling very discouraged. This was late on a Friday afternoon, but Bailey sent Randy out immediately. Randy was outstanding and took care of the immediate problem, while also scheduling more in-depth work early the following week. The crew came out again (Sal, Randy, and Charlie) and made sure everything was in tip-top shape before leaving. We haven't had any problems since and, as I told Sal, Bailey will be our go-to plumbing company in the future. I highly recommend them!! read more

I called Bailey pulling on a weekend and they were out quickly. Both guys were very thorough and spent several hours underneath my house on a weekend. I really did appreciate it. Figured out there was a week in my shower pan. It was at that point they told me the only way to fix everything is too refund the entire house. Keep in mind I have the house rebuilt 11 years prior to this. This was going to be in the neighborhood of $60,000. No more issues underneath the house. I had several other plumbers come take a look. The most expensive was about $4,000. All three plumber said that the plumbing was rock solid except for one corroded pipe. The only reason why I'm giving them two stars is cuz of their courteousness and response on a weekend. I really felt they were trying to take advantage of this and oversell us by about 55,000. Have nothing but great things to say about Bailey Plumbing. Alex who helped me figure out the issue with my plumbing was professional and explained what had happened in ways I could understand. The very next day, Joe the owner of the company came and inspected my issues, and gathered enough information to give me a very competitive quote. They came and fixed (replaced a lot of old galvanized pipes) with new copper plumbing all in one day, and worked with me to get it to the point where I could afford all of the work that I needed done. Roy Lopez was friendly and respectful throughout his visit. Roy demonstrated his ability to identify the problem, investigate, and find a logical solution. As a bonus, Roy was relatable and kind to our kids. Our kitchen sink was backed up and bringing in water. This was our third time having to unclog our kitchen sink, unfortunately. We had called around to couple of places and Bailey Plumbing was able to come out the same day. Despite placing preventions by using a netted drain strainer, disposing oil in glass jars, running hot water after doing the dishes, and not putting anything down the garbage disposal, our pipes had three blockages that Roy was able to break through. Roy started off with a smaller machine, but moved onto a heavier-duty machinery and got the job done. It may have something to do with the older pipes further down the line. Roy suggested we could get a camera down there to confirm and assess our next steps. read more

Searched google and called the after hours number to set up an appointment for estimate. Rep took down my info and said a service tech will call back in the morning. Received call the next day to setup an appointment for the following day with a $89 charge to come out and inspect - first red flag (my second and third quotes provided free estimates). I scheduled for next day estimate between 2-4PM. Next day comes and I receive a text a quarter past 2PM that tech was on the way. But, it's now 3:50PM with no arrival and text since 2PM, so I call to check and the rep says they were meaning to call to update me, and that the tech was in traffic. Second red flag, doesn't commit to time schedule. Tech arrives, is friendly and knowledgeable, but the price is beyond gouging; he checks for line pressure and suggests a new pressure regulator with less than a foot of 1" line needing replacement along with a new gate valve (mix between pvc and metal material to be replaced). The repair quote was $3600 with 3 hrs for dry/curing time, and the tech keeps asking me what I was expecting to pay. I give him a ballpark number $1500 (assume $200/hr for 5 hours and $500 for parts - more than fair). He evidently lowers it to $2700 saying any lower and he'd be in trouble. I decline the fix. I call for a second quote with free estimate from a National chain, but they won't be out until tomorrow; so, I try a third company with also a free estimate. Third company is a local licensed plumber and he's out fixing it for $850, same day, new regulator, gate valve and line repair with labor included - get a second or third quote! read more

Bailey Plumbing came out to fix a leaking water line under my house. I knew exactly what the problem was and explained it to the plumber. He assessed the problem and gave me a quote of $3,100. This would work if their shop rate was $3000 an hour. I called the company and they lowered it to $2,200. That's still $1,700 more than it should have been. I told them the maximum it should be is $500. I did not fall it. That sad thing is that there are people out there that don't know about plumbing and they will pay this crazy high bill. I got another plumber to come out the next day. He did it in about an hour and charged $500. I paid him $600. Honesty is a good thing. Prompt response but extraordinarily expensive quote as noted by others. I called them out to look at our natural gas water heater which had stopped working and they came out in an hour so that was quick. There's an up front $40 trip charge - which is fine given gasoline and labor costs. After trying to light the pilot and some discussion, it was either $675 to *start* to take the heater apart to repair it or $4200 to replace a 50 gallon tank water heater. They convinced me that any repair wasn't worth the cost since the heater was at or near the end of its expected life anyway. That was maybe worth the trip charge. BUT the $4200 to replace the water heater is about double the going rate. (A new water heater is $1100 at Home Despot and plus 4 hours at $250/hour.) I ended up with another quote for $2400 on my first call for a second quote. I can understand a little higher but 1.8x is gouging. *ALWAYS* get a second quote!! read more
