We discovered a mystery plumbing leak that was causing water to bubble up on our downstairs bathroom wall and we called Thomas plumbing to come out -Jason had to cut into the Sheetrock to see where to damage was and since we have a funky 70s house insurance had to test for asbestos and pull everything in all three bathrooms (fun) and treat for both mold and asbestos. Needless to say this was our worst house plumbing disaster. Jason made an extra effort to make sure our insurance reset everything so he could test and replace the cracked drains -him and his partner crawled around in the walls for over 7 hours to do all the drain replacement work needed. We usually use another plumbing company in Morgan Hill but they were not doing home service due to Covid, so we had to look for another plumber and decided to try Thomas plumbing -Morgan Hill. First time experience and it was a very poor quality service. Took 2 trips and 4 phone calls for the work to be properly completed. I purchased a faucet for my parents house, and contacted Thomas plumbing -Morgen Hill, to remove the old one and replace it with the new one. Their technician came in at 1:31 pm, installed the new faucet , texted me at 2:46pm that he was done. And we were sent a bill for $296. I went over my parents and saw the faucet was loosely installed , water leaking down into the vanity drawers and under the sink. I called Thomas plumbing to report the leak issue and requested fix. I was put through Dave, who appeared to be the owner . he denied any workmanship issue then accused me of trying not to pay. I send him video and pictures, of the loose faucet handles and water under sink. Then called Dave back on to follow up, he agreed to sent the technician back to fix it. This was while no apologies made or empathy for the inconvenience. After they corrected the faucet and when I went there to pay, I asked for a breakdown of charges . They stated $296 was for 2 hours of labor. I informed them that their technician was there for a total 1&1/2 hr . They referred me to Dave. So I Called Dave the next day, I told him that my parents are elderly and on fixed income so I want to make sure they pay a fair charge. Dave insisted that we must pay for 2 hours despite proof i had via Ring camera and technician time of text. Dave said that tech spent 2 hours and part of it was the paperwork he was doing while in his truck. I agreed to pay the due bill but I won't do business with them again. Had them come and clear a clog at my home in Sunnyvale that another rooter company could not handle. Turned out it was a root about 109 ft down the line from the roof vent. The not so Elite Rooter company didn't even have snakes long enough to do it. Thomas is much more than just a rooter company they are actual plumbers. My plumber was named Dean and he went above and beyond working this out and cutting out the root with a special head. I am very impressed with this company and felt that way after talking to the owner Dave on the phone. I'm going to have them install an exterior clean out which older houses sometimes don't have. Once that is in, Future cutting of that root will be even easier because they will be able to use a larger diameter cutting head on the snake. Going forward this will be my plumber of choice! **Update** Had them install the clean out. Jerry did the work and did an amazing job working well after dark to make sure it was done right. Our water heater was leaking this past Monday, and got an appointment on Tuesday. Jerry and Titus came out and they were great. They prepped everything, lining the carpet up and down the stairs. Did I mention our water heater is on 3rd floor of townhouse. Our water heater was not easy to replace, taking it out proved to be difficult, and then when they were filling up the tank it was leaking due to crack in pipe leading into it. Awesome service! They were able to come out the next day. They gave us a time frame and called 30 minutes before their estimated arrival. Patrick arrived and had shoe protectors on ready to get the job done. We had a small leak on our master bathroom toilet. With the holidays, we just shut it off and then it sat for two months. So of course, our issue did not appear to be an issue when help finally arrived as the leaking could not be seen. I had a water main leak which we thought was in one spot, but he pinpointed the actual source. I can't begin to tell you how happy I was this morning when this Company "squeezed me in" in a very busy schedule since we're in the middle of a long, hot heat wave. My air conditioner went out suddenly, early afternoon yesterday. The company who put in my system, Valley Heating & Cooling could not get me in for three weeks, July 13! I never thought to get somebody local so I started making calls via Yelp. I made some 10 calls, most companies had the same 2-3 wk wait while anothers didn't answer their phone at all. The HVAC person they hired recently is Gary, he was SO professional, polite, clean and honest. He was in and out of my job in about one hour. The bill seemed very reasonable and fair. I have use this company many times for plumbing services within the last 15 years, but I did not know they did heating and air-conditioning and it did not coming up in Yelp under A/C and heating. I was referred to them by another company that did not do residential work named Duerr A/C and Heating. The gentleman there was very helpful, he told me how much he liked Dave Thomas, that he was always a fair, nice business owner. Thank goodness I called Duerr's to get Dave's name and number!
