Came in on Friday, 4-28-17 and mentioned to the young man who serviced me to the left that I have to be out of there in about an hour when I booked my appointment. He was good with timing but insisted that he did gel nails on me, gel nails are typically done underneath the UV lighting & he did not do that for my nails. He actually gave me a regular color with a regular top coat. And proceeded to get in an argument with me about what service I was paying for. Mind you, my fill in was $31. He did a poor job and left the acrylic on my nails super thick. Only two days later my nails were chipping and the nail polish was not even put on it all the way... I called in two days after I got my fill in and explain to him that I wanted him to fix it. He said that was fine with him. I came in about three days after the fill-in and told him that it was too thick and if he could fix my nails. All I wanted was for him to fix the problem and he couldn't even do so. He told me he just gave me a fill-in recently and would not fix it for me. Great customer service! I will not be back. read more

Came here for a no chip manicure. I've been here one time before and Kevin did great on nails. This recent time, I believe I had a new person. She rushed through the service. I got my nails done on a Sunday and 3 of my nails chipped by Tuesday. I was able to come in for nail fixes, but everyday I had more chipping on all my other nails. Workers not consistent. read more

I'm not one to get my nails done often, but when I do, this is my top choice of places to go. Great massage chairs, complimentary bottled water, friendly staff, meticulous and non-rushed service, very clean place, affordable....the list goes on. Today I brought in my daughter and was accompanied by my sister-in-law and niece. Both girls are just 5 years old and were treated so well. The staff was wonderful to them--friendly, patient, and made it fun. They offer a great kids mani/pedi combo which is a shortened version of the full service, but perfect for them! I was extremely happy with my mani/pedi. Even after I messed up the polish on a couple nails on my hand on the way out, the gentleman gladly fixed them for me (and told me many times that it was no problem at all). So nice and quiet (no one talking too loud)...perfect for relaxing. Water (8oz) handed to me as I sat down. No pressure to upgrade service-just nicely asked. Clean! Brand new! 8 spa tubes for Pedi's and 8 desks for Mani's. The nail technician gal was very sweet. Not too chatty with me or other workers. She massaged my legs and feet for longer than most places I've been. I totally love and appreciate that...it feels so good. $30 total for pedi with a french tips painted. It was the worst mani-pedi experience I've ever had. Girl who did my pedicure had no idea what she was doing. It was the most painful and after whole pain -the way she put color was so uneven and is already chipping -next day after service was done. My mani was done by someone different , it was a gay. He did not really care about the way he put polish on the nails. I have the color everywhere -nails and skin around. The salon is somewhat hidden in the strip mall, so it's easy to miss. Inside is clean with a small waiting area. Very attentive service, I didn't have to wait at all on a Friday night. The employees are friendly. Lots of colors to choose from. The basic pedicure was perfect, nice massage chairs. The no chip manicure only held up for 2 weeks. Cash only tips. read more

My daughter and I tried this nail salon due to reviews on Yelp but I wasn't as impressed as others were. We had appointments and I was taken right away but my daughter was stuck waiting at the manicure table for a good 10minutes before someone started on her manicure. Because of that my daughters manicure was rushed so that we would be done at the same time. My nail tech was nice but barely spoke any English which made it hard for her to answer my questions since this was my first ever manicure. Most likely I'll go somewhere else next time. I have been going to this salon for a couple years now. I usually make appointments with Linh (she has always been very good) Last appointment she was double booked earlier this month so I gave up my appointment with her and Leo did my nails and her client was happy I did because Linh could do her pedicure. Every one was happy! I called to make an appointment last Saturday for this coming Friday December 22nd and (The Manager) he told me no appointments that week-end and very abruptly said if you make appointment and come in and she is busy you get MAD come in now we can take you. I didn't need to come in it wasn't even two weeks since my no chip. PLUS I helped them out earlier this month. How terrible to treat a very good paying SENIOR Customer with no RESPECT! I said don't worry I will not be back again, your loss not mine...I was very upset. I worked for AT&T for many years and know this treatment is totally unacceptable!!!!!!! The only reason why I'm even giving this place 2 stars is because the young man that did my pedi did a great job. The guy that did my nails was rude, and told me to just relax he knows his job and what he's doing. Uhhh hold up.... see I have been in the beauty industry for well over 20yrs so I know your job! Have been going here for a while, depending on the nail technician you get depends on how your nails will turn out. It's a hit of miss, half of the people don't know what they're doing there. The other half are amazing at what they do. They're very pricey and recently have been rushing the mani/pedi's resulting in a bad job. I LOVE this place. I will ONLY go here! I never have to wait. It's a small, clean-very modern cozy place. Everyone is super friendly, and the more I go-I develop a friendship with everyone. I highly recommend the tropical pedi. It's so relaxing. They have the best massage chairs. I like this place because it's never too crowded-so I can get a chance to unwind and relax. I have been going to Fantastic Nails every 2 to 3 weeks for over a year and have always been happy up until the last few times. The last 3 times one of the acrylic nails fell off for no reason. This last time not only did the nail fall off but I discovered I had a fungus on that nail. My doctor told me this was due to the nail salon not properly cleaning and santizing their instruments. Now I am on expensive medication to clear it up plus I have to have ugly nails for the holidays as I can not get another manicure for quite some time and I will probably end up losing the nail. Needless to say very dissapointing and I will be looking for a new salon. Please be careful if you choose to go here. read more

This place is great! Brand new (said they've been open six weeks). Magic nails around the corner is great, but can get crowded and rushed. I walked in at noon on a Sunday, didn't have to wait, sat right down for a no chip manicure. The woman doing my nails brought me a little bottle of water (nice touch) and began. You know how sometimes when they're clipping/trimming the cuticles they can cut too close and make it bleed? Not her, she was super careful. She also went back and rechecked and re trimmed after she put the base coat on. She was careful with the edges also, I hate it when they leave a naked spot (usually on. The side of the nail). I appreciated the care she took to make it perfect. Since this place is brand new, they have a grand opening 20% off special (that's what drew me in) but even without the special this place is cheaper than Magic 2. I'll be back. Pedicure seats looked comfy. I just hope they stay this awesome as they get busier. read more

Went for a no chip manicure that took about an hour. After six weeks of cleaning windows, dishes, scrubbing my sink and tubs and washing my four dogs I did not have a single chip. It was as beautiful as the day I got it! Great job Fantastic Nails, keep up the good work! read more

I have been in every nail salon and there's quite a few in this neighborhood, this by far is the best. First, the owner is extremely kind and always puts the customer first. A very soothing atmosphere and not all the loud talking back and forth between employees. It is spotless and the work is a plus. They add so many extras that other salons do not. There pedicures rival the high end salons in spas I have been to in the city. I will never go anywhere else. I have found my salon in south west suburbs. read more

Brochure states acrylic fills are $18 and up. Every time I go, the cost is $35. I guess I'm the only one complaining about the cost.

I had a horrible experience here. I wasn't going to write a bad review until I saw that someone had the exact same experience and posted about it on Facebook. The young man who gave me a manicure butchered my cuticles. 4 were bleeding. The rest of the manicure burned and my nails still hurt the next day. His hands were shaking and he just seemed really aggressive. He didn't say anything as he wiped the blood away. I said ouch several times and then directly told him that he was hurting me. He mumbled sorry but that was it. I reported it to the manager and fled. In retrospect I wish I would have been more vocal and stopped as soon as there was a problem. The salon was busy and everyone else seemed very pleased with their experience. I really think this is related to this one young man and not a reflection of the whole place. But still, it sucked. Moved to this area, read reviews online. I tried it twice . I called ahead for an appt both times, doesn't matter, you wait and they take everyone that walks in the door. Owner will start you, continue to manage shop and rush you through. 2nd time there , basically quiet, 2 people walked in without appts, he once again rushed me through , moved over to the next table, started someone else. Once my light was off , he told me to wash my hands ansd said from the other table, I was done. 1st time he took the time to finish and clean my nails, and put on hand cream, this time not so much,,,, he boasts that he's very quick...I'll say , especially when he gives less service and is always watching the door... when I looked at my nails after I left, I had lumps, on 4 fingers and hard no chip stuck to my cuticles, he never filed them properly... really bad job.... never going back.... they are more concerned on taking everyone , it doesn't matter if have an appointment and they do poor work! My sister and I went to Fantastic Nails this past week to celebrate our birthdays with a no chip manicure and a pedicure. I was very disappointed. I believe I had a new person as he was very nervous and did not seem sure of himself. During the pedicure, he cut the side of my toe with the scrub bar. He cut my finger nails so short, they are down to the quick. I requested two colors for my no chip on my nails. The top color was white which 3 days later is turning orange. I called Kevin to explain what has happened. He got hysterical on the phone and said "I told you it would turn colors". No....he did not. Then he accused me of going for a spray tan and that turned by nails orange. No...I did not go for a spray tan. I lived 1 1/2 hours from his shop and knew I could not return to have him fix it as I work. He refused to refund my no chip manicure. I hope this doesn't happen to anybody else. He was rude on the phone, poor customer service. read more
