I love this place. They offer free snacks and drinks. Now don't be so happy, it's not the drinks you're thinking of, just water and soda. Looks fancy and clean. I must say though, and this is for all nail salons, it's rude to be talking in Vietnamese when your customers don't understand the language. My mom agreed to do a nail appointment for my birthday this year and in my Google search I found fancy nails. I decided to go out on a limb and try them out and I was not disappointed! They immediately got both my mom and myself seated for mom and daughter manicure date. They provided snacks and a well-rounded nail treatment and with a hand massage. So I don't normally write negative reviews but my services were so poor I just needed to share. I've been to this salon twice so my rating is an average of the 2 experiences. Making an appointment is easy. Annie (owner) is I think in charge of the phone, speaks good English, and takes you down easily for an appoint. First experience: deluxe pedi. When I sat down in the chair, the tech (forgot her name) offers me a drink/snacks and this booklet of all the different pedicures. My first time here, I was kind of shocked at the prices as each pedi started at $55+ granted it comes with various scents of salt scrubs, lotions, and at least 15 minute massage. The pedi was good and the nail tech gave a good massage so I was ok this time paying so much for a pedi. (Minus one star because later I find out, there is a basic pedicure option for $35 that was never offered and not listed on the menu) Second experience: I called for same day pedi and full set. Amy was assigned to me and seemed friendly and chatty. I get the pedi book and I picked one of the deluxe pedi. I was hoping it would be a relaxing pedi like my previous time but it was not. She was so rough with her nail file that she filed my pinky toe so much that it bled... blaming it on the file being so "new" and "sharp." She tried to put this unknown liquid on it but I declined and I asked for alcohol. So this is strike one. The massage was eh... not very relaxing.. also because I was worried about my toe getting infected. Then the same lady moves on to my full set. I told her right off the bat that my cuticles are very sensitive and I get cut/bleed easily. So I request no cuticle cutting and pls be careful with the drill. As she's filing my ring finger nail so vigorously just like my toe, she scrapes the side and I'm bleeding again. She blames it again on the "new" file. Now she's stating my skin is very sensitive. Ok lady a tech has never injured me with a FILE before. Then of course as she's buffing the acrylic, she nicks my cuticle. 3 total injuries in one visit! As a microbiology I'm terrified at the possibly of an infection. By this time I'm feeling so stressed and not enjoying my time here at all. I just wanted the services to be over. I got basic gel polish on my acrylic, as she couldn't do the glittery ombré design that I showed her on my phone. Total paid was $110 plus $20 tip I regretfully gave. Here we are 6 days later, the acrylics on all fingers are LIFTING! I noticed because they all are getting caught on my hair. Acrylics are supposed to last 2 weeks at least! This is the most terrible job I have ever received and I definitely will not be come back. It's too bad the pretty ambiance and decor do not match the services. read more

Another Great Nail Salon Came here after leaving the Beauty Supply store next door.. I was instantly attracted to how nice the interior of the Salon was! The lighting, the decor.. the bar... everything and everyone was very welcoming when I entered and I was instantly impressed. I opted for a pedicure that was listed as $65 (can't remember the name) but it included a 20 Minute Massage.. deserved an automatic 5 stars for me Fefe was so nice and explained everything that she was doing and how nice and relaxing everything would be and feel. She was so sweet and she did an amazing job on taking care of me. The polish job came out perfect and I know I will be back when I'm in the area again. Absolutely zero complaints from my experience. Their full set isn't good. I was a walk in and got Lyn as my nail tech. I had grocery store press ons and told her I need a bowl of warm water to get the rest off, she tries to straight pull them off and I said no please give me a bowl of warm water. Lyn huffs off and gets her boss who tells me I have to soak my press ons in acetone. I should have ran away when I can see they don't even know how to take off press ons, but I was there with my friend. The guy doing my feet did a good job but he made sure he laughed and pointed at my feet with his coworker. Rude. So let's get back to Lyn. Btw she wouldn't talk to me or tell me her name, but I saw her name on her items at her station. I couldn't use the chair massage because she said I was moving too much. She reached over me to turn it off. Rude. She files off my press ons (cringe) and starts to lay the acrylic. I choose coffin since it's easy and the shape and everything was good. I asked for a French tip manicure with a flower on 4 nails. She tried to get away with drawing the French tip straight across with no curve, I tell her plz make it curve. She didn't know how, lines weren't crisp and she was huffing and puffing the whole time making me uncomfortable. The flowers that she charged me $20 extra for are really bad but I was over it at that point and wanted to leave. I'll probably have to get my nails fixed this weekend, ugh. If the owner sees this, don't let Lyn do full sets, she doesn't like it and she isn't good at it. read more

My first experience here, I requested the dip powder manicure and pedicure. I asked for the pedicure color to match in shade (reasonably) to my manicure and the gentleman assured me it would be very close in the color match. Unfortunately, the color on my toes was completely different. Manicure was a light pink which I loved, the pedicure was a warm peach color. Everyone there was friendly, they do offer little snacks and water which is kind. The mani and pedi combo together took about 2 hours and I did not feel I had the time to spend another hour requesting to fix the pedicure so I paid and left. During my second experience yesterday, after realizing most other salons were closing soon on Sunday evenings, I gave fancy nails another try. This time, I chose to only do a dip powder manicure. The manicurist Kelly was friendly, pleasant, and also speedy at her work. I am not too particular with my nails but I noticed my cuticles were not even touched or trimmed and the dip powder was incredibly thick in the cuticle area which makes grow outs stand out a lot. I specifically had shown the previous picture from the same salon and requested a slimmer, thinner look just like before. Overall, the process took an extra 20 minutes or so to file down a little. I also had to request my natural nails underneath to be filed alongside the tips to blend in, otherwise this would not have been done. My second experience was slightly better, but again disappointing although everyone there was friendly and it seemed like a pleasant environment until the end when I felt rushed out. They do accept walk-ins which is great and I made sure before they had enough time to do a dip powder manicure before closing, but I would not recommend this salon due to having to constantly check your nails during the process, the flaws in the filing, constantly reminding them with pictures, and having to explain your desired look constantly. read more

I am so grateful Fancy Nails Lounge opened up in the Pinole Shopping Center! I made my first appointment on their website and was happily surprised at how accessible it was to book multiple appointments. I went in for a full set of dip powder nails/manicure with design and eyebrow wax. The salon is beautiful, bright, and very welcoming. There is plenty of parking which makes it a much easier trip to plan for. You can tell the amount of care and planning that went into the salon to make all feel welcomed. They even have a snack and drink tray to choose from as you enjoy your time there!!! Julie did a fabulous job on my manicure and really created such a beautiful design! I came back a few days later to get my pedicure and wow it was worth it! I think I've found my new spot. All of the staff are so kind and do a great job. First thing she offered me was something to drink or a snack from the complementary snack cart. She did a great job with the massage, they even have a timer and don't go anymore or less with the time for the massage. The owner is very rude and so is that man that is there. I spent 187.00 ( not including a tip) I tipped the nail lady 20- and the lady that did my eyebrows 10.00 the man had the nerve to say "you don't want to add more to the tip?" I felt so bad for even giving them chance after chance after chance. I have mixed feelings about this place. They are really nice, however, the quality of the service will depend on who is providing the service. I used to always request Kelly to do my pedicures. She left this shop so I agreed to have Lilly do my pedicure. I had gel polish on and instead of soaking it off with a cotton and acetone, she drilled and drilled and drilled my toes nails making them very thin. That is not the proper way to remove gel. I asked her repeatedly to stop drilling my toe nails. My nails were not even and not square like I asked. My toe nail has since cracked from being so thin. Unfortunately, I won't be back. read more
