My friend and I had planned on pedicures but actually have not figured out a new go-to place so we actually picked a spot right across the street from her house. We picked an evening time for an appointment and around 5pm it was not too busy at all. So we sat in our chairs and got that massage going and waited our turn for luxe pedi services. The two ladies - Mom and daughter were our wonderful nail ladies and they did great. We picked a matching blue gel and it was lovely. The pedicure itself was great. I loved the mud mask. I still have not found a place that will massage my feet with the unmost force but my plantar fascia just craves that ya know. These lil ladies were not the hulk I needed rubbing the ish outta my feet, no ones fault but if you know of a spot that will massage my feet aggressively for healing, hit my line. My favorite part was Teddy, the lil dog who was the main character of this little nail salon. He sat right in my lap and gave me attitude and I loved every minute. I am excited to go back. Well,I have been going to this nail salon for years when I spend time in Spokane. I have always been happy with my nails. Yesterday I had an appointment at 5 for a fill and pedi. They are over booking the owner was doing my fill and kept leaving me to do other people. She was trying to work on three of us at the same time. No hand washing between clients.There was problems with the polish drying. It leaked under my nail. Then I got a pedicure with Holly. I left there round 8pm. I woke up this morning and my right index fingers polish was literally peeling off. Thumb had bumps on it and middle finger one pit. I'm 35 miles from town so it's a bit of a drive. So I return to get this corrected. I didn't wait to long. The owner was not very happy. It was not my fault and I wasn't happy driving 35 miles one way. I changed my dinner plans last night. I never had my nails take three hours. She finished my nails and they looked nice. Then she tells Holly she needs to change my toe polish to match. Now Holly is mad, she was being overly aggressive grabbing my legs hard and slamming them down on plastic to paint them. Then she would push my foot back hard to use the drying light. She doesn't speak or understand English well. She finishes I get out side my toenails weren't the same color as my fingers. Way to light. I go back in and I'm trying to be kind. The owner painted my toe nails three more coats and the color matched. Holly was very mad they began to speak together in Vietnamese. Holly was getting really mad. I felt sorry for the lady she was doing a pedi on. I said Holly needed to calm down. I left there with anxiety not relaxation. They have lost a good loyal customer. It's not kept up like it was. A pile of towels on the white sofa. The cabinet drawers they keep the towels in had every drawer open to some degree. When you leave paying $95 you expect your nails to look stellar. I really wanted to get my feet and toenails prepped for summer, but the "pedicure" butchered my toenails and cut them excessively short and irregular with sharp points. I usually go to Foxy nails to get a full set but wasn't able to get an appointment so I thought I would try here. I came in to get my nails done for prom and I just asked for a basic full set coffin shape and plain white, no crazy design or shapes. But the nails were not even and not the same shape at all, and very lopsided. Personally despite all the negative reviews I always encourage people to try places for themselves as sometimes you will find that someone had a negative experience and it wasn't the service that was the problem it was the individual. Personally I just moved here to Spokane in October and the first thing I was looking to do was put together my glam squad that is waxing lashes and nails and hair. When I first visited this nail Location I saw T and have been working with her since. When you want to work with a tech they have know and learn what you like. She filled me nailed great the first few times but when I got The new said I wasn't very happy with the shape nevertheless I corrected by communicating with her in this it looks just like I wanted. The staff here was fine and friendly and I've never had any issues and would recommend giving them a try. If you don't want to wait and come ahead and book your time slot. I had gel on my toes and traveled for a month when I got back not one chip. The growth on my acrylic nails was so clear and clean you couldn't even tell I needed a fill. I haven't used them for anything other than nails and T is the only person I've seen. read more

I'm not one to ignore when I don't like my nails, so I specifically asked if he could clean up the edges and he said "this is all I can do, this is what happens when you choose a light color" if they cannot properly do light colors it shouldn't be an option. I wish I would have listened to the other bad reviews before spending $70. Only thing good was the woman who did my toes did a great job and was very attentive. DEFINITELY won't be back. read more

I hate to write a bad review, but I simply cannot ignore the terrible experience I had at Famous Nails. I felt rushed and was in an out with gel polish in less than 15 minutes. It is very important for gel polish to only be on your nails, because it will peel off and not stick when it also gets on the cuticle. The polish was all over my cuticles, it was patchy and missing on the corner/sides of my nails. I had big bumps in the polish, areas that had no top coat and polish left all over my skin. Terrible experience and awful that I had to pay $20+ for polish that lasted me less than a week. I will NEVER be returning. read more

First off, yes, I am picky about my nails....but, come on. Now let me explain why the two stars. I was a walk in, and they took me pretty fast which was nice. They are also Very friendly. And I actually DO like the way she did my nails (shape, length, thickness) I had 5 nails left between both of my hands. Lan removed them, and put a new set on. But then..she applied the polish, and used a piece of paper towel to clean up the over spill. Which didn't work. Made my nails look like a toddler painted them, and then when I said something she said it was my cuticles that were the problem, not the polish. She then clipped away at said cuticles AND the polish on my skin. Now I have gel polish peeling up AND polish still on my skin. And then was charged $50(!!!). I'll never go back. read more

Let me start off by saying I'm not super picky about my nails and I really enjoy going to mani/pedis for everything other than the painted nails. My grandma used to go here so we went on a date together and got mani/pedis the other day. I was so incredibly disappointed and feel the service was so much worse than it had been in the past. To start, the women were clearly making fun of my grandma's toe (which just had a discolored nail and not anything actually disgusting). Also, everything was incredibly gross and my nails were actually painted terribly. I don't expect much and am okay with it chipping after a couple days because I'll just take it off, but the polish no where near covered my entire nail. Please go to the salon at Shadle instead. I believe the prices are cheaper and the service is much better. read more

I don't often write reviews, but my experience was so bad that I had to let others know. First off, I've been nothing but courteous to the employees, I calls ahead, I show up on time, I never complain. I even take off my nail polishes before I come in, to save them time, and hassle. But it seems like every time I get my nails done, the price kept going up and up. My first visit, I had a refill, $25, that seems fair. Second visit, I had one nail repair, and a fill, $30, and I was ok with it. Third visit, I had a fill, and also a nail repair. The bill came to $35. Could somebody please tell me, in what world does a refill and a nail fix cost more than a full-set itself? Needless to say, I won't be returning. Also, they violate safety and sanitation in July of 2017, and they were fined by the states. Hello all reading this review, If you are thinking about going here, don't. That's the short answer. Now here's why, first off; I had made an appointment to get 2 gel manicures (not hard), I was even early, and the employees took walk-ins before me. I waited over an hour after calling days before hand. When I had finally gotten in to get my manicure, there was old gum on the wall. The guy doing my nails put a bowl of water in front of me and walked away for 20 minutes. Then proceeded to grab the wrong color for my nails, and paint them (gel). He even got polish all over my cuticles and fingers. After, he charged me $10 extra. Needless to say, I will never go back, nor should you. Thank you for your time. read more

Decided to treat myself to a birthday pedicure, unfortunately I've never been more dissatisfied in my life. Requested the nail tech to take off or change his latex gloves (explained I'm allergic), and he refused. Upgraded to better pedicure, tech rubbed "cooling gel" up and down my legs once and wiped with warm towel then started to paint. I asked if that was the "Upgraded massage" and he rudely stated yes you only get lotion with basic pedi. Then why did I spend $5 more!? To end it the polish job was sloppy and painted on my skin. I'm not very happy with these. This is how I left the salon. The first time this nail tech did my nails (full new set) I ended up with a weird shape and several breaks with in a week. I've never had a problem like that before. There were also gaps between my real nail and the acrylic nail that were not sealed. When I came back two weeks later a different nail tech asked me where I had them done prior because they were very thin and poorly applied. She looked shocked when I said I'd had them done there. Tonight I came back to get a new fill and the same nail tech who did my botched new set did the fill. He seemed angry for some reason and didn't seem to want to be there. I can understand a person having a bad day and I believe in giving him a 2nd chance. Unfortunately the above picture is how I left the salon. I had brought my own polish. It did look like it was a little thick. Normally when it is like that the nail tech will add a drop or two of nail polish remover to the bottle and it will thin it down. The nail tech didn't do that or ask me if there was another color I would like to put on if this nail color was too gummy to apply. (I had a back up in my kit that I had brought with me) Instead he continued to apply the gummy polish and make wrinkles and bumps. I noticed right away and didn't say anything thinking he would catch on and do one of the two options I've mentioned above. Instead he continued and when he was done pretty much dismissed me to the couch in the waiting area and then stormed off to the back room. Worst pedicure of my life. Painful and unhygienic!! The woman who did it was extremely rude throughout the whole encounter, yelling at me to move my feet, and slamming/throwing her tools around. She CUT my toe with the sharp edge of a square file and just wiped away the blood. She was very rough on my feet and yanked my foot when I flinched. Then she used one of those cheese grater things (not cleaned) on my foot when I said "I don't really want you to use that on me" and she completely ignored me!!! And though my cut was still bleeding she continued to rub products on it. in She did a terrible job on my gel french tips and actually said, "Well that's all I can do because your toes are too small." When I went to pay, I asked to speak to a manager, not something I would usually do. The gentleman came over and I explained the situation (emphasizing the cut because that's just not hygienic!!) and he said, "Oh sorry sometimes that happens." Worst nail salon I have been to in spokane. After one week my nails were broken, chipped and peeling off. They did not file my nails down they were bumpy and thick. She also applied gel nail polish without asking me and charged me for it, it is more expensive than the regular polish. Also they reused their tools on multiple people without cleaning them, the foot scrub was in a container for everyone to use and they would use the same scoop to apply to different people's feet. Not only just the scoop but different brushes for nails and even zester (yes literally a zester made for cookng) they use for pedicures. I would not recommend coming here at all! The WORST place I have ever gone to. The first time I went I got acrylics and she put my nail on so crooked it was horrible and she refused to fix it!! This second time I went in with a group of girls for college graduation. We all got the luxury pedicure. The other girls were started fifteen minutes before I was, but my lady still had me done at the same time as them. They charged me for it and I didn't get half the massage or products used on the other people! And the polish is literally already chipping and all over my skin. Then we get to the acrylic gel manicure. He messed up on two different nails and I made him redo them. He wasn't going to, and thought I wouldn't notice but two nails had hair coated in them. So nasty. My nails are streaky and horrible. I can't get them fixed by tomorrow but I definitely will be going to a different place on Sunday to have them fixed. I will never ever return here. I have always gone here...NEVER again. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. My daughter and I went on December 26th. Wasn't very busy. So they had plenty of time for a pedicure. My daughter was treating me and upgraded to the more expensive pedicure. The water was cold..barely luke warm. Had to ask 4-6 times to warm it up. The pedicure was supposed to have a leg wrap of mud, it was put on sparse, thin and missing in several places. They did not even do the bottom of feet...left with extremely dry heels...and no calf massage. I called as soon as we left when my daughter told me about her heels. The gentleman was nice and said to come back, I told him tomorrow as we had dinner plans. We went back today and walked right out. The lady that did my daughter's walked up with some kind of machine thing and had no intention of redoing the pedicure. They started off by making me wait 10 minutes (there were several open chairs where the manicurists were chatting). My mom was joining me this time and they kept pushing and pressuring her to upgrande to gel polish for $10 more, and when she declined they acted very put-off. I was having a full set removed and a new set added. The lady assisting me pulled my nail up to the point of bleeding 3 times, and while using the emry board, made several other fingers bleed due to excessive abrasion. Horrible. I was in yesterday and was treated terrible. This was a special treat for myself. Short nails and wanted a simple Mani. The charged me $12 and another woman $13. I had some old polish on and she had me sit down and I saw the bowl of hot soapy water-this is new to me, so I put a hand in. She snatched my hand out "NO NO" with a look of hate. Opps I said, she never said one word to me after that. The lady next to me ordered a mani, and paid $10 since she had her own polish and got 3 extra things I did not. I use to go here several years ago and it was fine. This time to my horror they used what looked like a cheese grater on my feet. Then I observed the girl who did my feet go straight to another customer without cleaning or changing any of her equipment.The nail file looked like it had been used on a hundred other people. My heels are now cracked and dry and to top it off they charged me three times on my debit card. Should be fun trying to get them to straighten that out!
