Went in, on a Sunday, with a horribly applied full set of acrylics from just the day before. For $35, the nail tech essentially completely restructured the horribly applied nails from previous AND applied gel nail color after. The day before, I paid almost double that, for what I have already described multiple times now as just really really bad nails. On top of that( No pun intended), said set only came with regular nail lacquer. Tech completely understood what I was talking about/what was wrong with the nails, explained to me along the way how she was fixing them, and also made sure to reassure me multiple times that the price was what she quoted me from the get go. Nail salon itself is very clean. Every text station has some type of shielding set up between the tech and the client( re: cOVID-19 protocols). All of the techs are very friendly; while I was in there, there seemed to be a lot of regulars; they happily chatted about their own personal lives but also seemed to genuinely know and care about the techs' personal going on's. With that being said, they are also OK if you just want to sit there, close your eyes, and quietly enjoy your service. Prices for services, overall, seem very fair. Salon definitely has a lot of different options when it comes to things like colored/ printed nail tips, dip powders, and of course, gel and regular lacquer colors. I started going to this place about 7 years ago. For the first 6 years I have gone in just on occasion to treat myself for a pedicure or a gel manicure. I must say the last three times I have been in they have insisted on asking for tips and have been very rude about it. The girls at the counter will hold down the payment pad they put the receipt on and start saying "tip, tip". I tried to take the pad last time to avoid having them watch me and the girl at the counter held it down and started to do the same thing. Saying "tip tip". I left a $2.00 tip not really wanting to, the girl at the counter from what I could understand started to complain that it was not enough. I've been coming to Fancy Nails for years because they have the cheapest gel polish around! It's $15 for gel polish on your fingers, and $20 for gel polish on your toes. I was recommended to them by a friend and now recommend them to all my friends. I even commute 30 minutes to Fancy Nails because the prices, in addition to the job they do, significantly beats out all others in the Spokane area. My favorite technician is Timmy! But everyone there does an amazing job. The gel polish hasn't chipped on me, and helps me maintain the length of my real nails. Call ahead and book an appointment, but they do take walk-ins. My nail tech cut me 3 times pretty badly and tried gluing my skin to stop the bleeding which stung bad. The guy who works here did av awful job. I asked for a fill and he proceeded to try and remove my current acrylics, which were on pretty good, and had to cut my nails (which I asked him NOT to do). He then tried to jam a nail under the tips to try and separate then from my natural nail and kept slipping and jamming me in the tender skin under my nails! After wrenching my nails off, ruining my natural nail in the process, he cut them even more because he had ripped chunks out of them. By the time he started applying new acrylic, they were so short it wasn't even worth it! It took me three months to get the length/shape I wanted... Note I have to start all over. Then without asking what shape nail I wanted, he started filing away until I had sorry, stubby, UNEVEN LENGTH nails, since of which were crooked. I use to love Fancy Nails, but after today I will not be returning. The staff do great work, but my complaint is their inconsistent pricing. The last few times I have came in for a shellac acrylic fill the price has varied from $20 to $30. If the fill consistently cost $30 I would not have a problem. It's not the price I'm concerned about, it's the varying cost dependent on the nail technician. Today when I went to pay and my shellac fill was $10 more than my last visit, I politely mentioned the price variance to my technician who said "I'm sorry" and proceeded to charge me more. I immediately regretted tipping my standard 20%. Until management resolves this issue I will not be back, which is a shame because they do great work and have an excellent location. read more

I've been here a couple of times just to get gel polish. It's $15 without a manicure, which is a good price and they still cut and file them. The gel always looks good but the customer service isn't great. During my whole appointment all she said to me was, "How are you?" And "Wash your hands." I got a crappy pedicure here once before. Went back hoping to get someone else this time and did. However, this one was one of the worst pedis I have gotten in many years. She was very distracted by people coming in and often left me to take care of them. The water was barely warm, she poked me with one of my tools (fortunately since it didn't get infected) and took to my heels like she was scrubbing a floor. When I jumped because she poked me, she gave me a dirty look. When I pulled away from the heel scrubbing she gave up and didn't even finish let alone start on the other foot. I have been coming to this salon for about 2 years. I have seen them send customers away and learned to call ahead for an appt. Anytime I have ever called they ask what time I want and I tell them then they always ask me if I can come a half an hour later. Every.single.time. I am pretty patient and i typically get a gel polish change and sometimes a pedi. I called them and made an appt for a gel polish change, a pedi and an eyebrow wax. I asked for 1130 she asked me if I could come at 12. I said sure. I got there and they did my pedi and my gel color change. Then she says we are busy right come back in 40 minutes and we will do your eyebrow wax. Wtf? Why would I schedule an appointment for services and then leave and come back when I had an appt for these services. It's ridiculously poor customer service. I had a wedding to attend the next day that is why I scheduled. But even if I hadn't why would you send a paying g customer with an appointment away. I'll pay more for better customer service. They lost a good customer. Is you value your customer service you should go somewhere else. read more

Please know, I am one of those people who is overly polite. I don't send my food back, and I don't write bad reviews unless they are well-deserved. The only reason I'm giving this salon a single star is for my mom, who walked out happy with her pedicure. We went for a mom/daughter date while I was in town visiting. I received a total hack job on both big toes, where the gentleman gouged deep into both sides of my toenails when cutting them. FYI, this is a major no-no to anyone, and can lead to ingrown toenails...Cut straight across, not sloping down the sides! They hurt me all the way back on the drive to Southern Idaho (ie 24 hours later, my right toe is throbbing). I have never experienced this at this salon in the past, or anywhere else I've had pedicures. I wrote the staff a thoughtful (but frank) card explaining my concern, and I couldn't go in person to deliver it because I had to head home. My mom went up and the lady was sassy with her, and said I must have already had ingrown toenails, so the guy cut them out. Uhhh...no can do. 1) If I did have ingrown toenails (which I do not, but probably will now), I would go to a PODIATRIST, not a pedicure. 2) I did not ask to have my nails hacked up. I can do a much better job myself, and like I said, I've never had someone do this to me. 3) Don't be prickly with my mom! She is the kindest, most badass woman I know. 4) It's not the customer's fault your staff doesn't know what they're doing, so don't blame them for something that's on you. The prices aren't that great, they slapped my ma with $10 credit of hush money, and they're more concerned with rushing customers through than doing a good job. Just go to another salon. I am giving them 2 stars because I technically can not speak to their work but they did not value my time as a customer. I arrived as a walk in and asked how long it would be to wait, they quoted 30 minutes. An hour later I looked around and they had not even started polishing any of the three customers they were working on. I left and went elsewhere. Disappointed with this nail salon! The prices where inconsistent and varied. My toes chipped the next day, and my gel nails chipped in a few days later. My toe nails always last forever and do not normally chip, I think they thin out their polish to stretch it. They injured my sisters cuticle on her toe and left mine with dead skin and dry. Omg...the lady with the glasses..sits in the second chair on the right side when u walk in. ..the one that used to work at Q nails. . Shes newer i believe ...she's awful. She kept on telling me I wasn't holing my hand righte like jerking my hand around & like hitting it. She also had no communication skills very rude!!. My mom and I were recommended to Fancy Nails by a friend and I'm so thrilled she told me about it. We had excellent service. It was about a 20 minute wait which they told us to begin with. The pedicure was amazing my nail tech was so meticulous about the detail and very much took her time which I appreciate. The place is clean and the chairs are very high quality. I live near this salon and have started to frequent getting my nails done here. I am very happy with each visit to Fancy Nails. They have a fairly attractive, clean salon with newer pedicure chairs. Excellent pricing. Every time I leave I'm more than happy with my nails. Also, added perk is they keep the place super warm in the winter. All the ladies do a great job, my only complaint is I wish they would rub my hands longer with lotion. read more

Walked in without an appointment for a mani and pedi. They got me in quickly and had a decent selection of nail polish and gel colors. The seats were comfortable with the option of turning on the massage chair, if you want. They took the time to massage my feet for a while and that it very important to me! The place was clean and I did not feel rushed. However they cut my toe nail way, way too low. It's going to be painful when it grows out, and it's crooked. There were several times my mom and I were uncomfortable (we do not have a low pain tolerance) and they just continued to poke, clip, rip, and scrub. They scrubbed my mom's feet to death and ran it once over mine, I really needed it more. At one point my nails tech got so involved in talking she stopped massaging my leg completely. I get pedis every couple of weeks during the summer so I know what to expect from a pedi.... my usual place was busy so I brought my mom and myself here the day of my wedding to relax but what I got was nothing to relax about. The woman doing my pedi literally dug into my big toes so bad she made one bleed. After repeatedly saying "ouch" multiple times (I have a high pain tolerance, I've given birth naturally) she looked at me and said "this not hurting". I then told her it was in fact hurting and I think once she saw me bleed she realized that I wasn't lying. She barely used the pumice stone on my feet leaving them rough still (had to go home to finish using my own pumice stone). While she was pumicing my feet she kept jerking my leg up. I asked her if I could rest it on something she just looked at me and kept jerking my leg up. After this experience I just wanted to be done.... I told her to not massage my legs as apparently I can't hold my leg up how she liked and to just paint my toes as I had had enough.
