He definitely has a winner with his barbecue sauce and his meat preparation for outstanding barbecue ribs. And did I mention the coleslaw is so delicious. And of course, the cornbread is the best I've ever had. Truly remarkable to have a great lunch or dinner at "Up In Smoke barbecue"

They were doing a fair amount of to go orders though. We both had the 3 meat combo. I had brisket, saint louis style ribs and buffalo wings. This comes with 2 sides and cornbread. I opted to bbq baked beans and cheesy potatoes. My husband opted for dry (not tossed) wings and mac and cheese. It was also wing it Wednesday so wings were just $1.25 each. The wings were full wings and very meaty. The brisket was fall apart tender and the ribs had just the right amount of tenderness. Everything had good flavor. The cheesy potatoes were a little bland though. Our waitress was excellent! She checked on us often and was vey friendly. There was easily enough food for 2 meals. We would definitely go back again.

The ribs lacked seasoning and flavor. And, they were a little touch.

The sausage was sauce-less, not smoked, and undercooked. I cooked it later in some bbq sauce and improved it.

When you consume wings, you're going to get dirty. There's no getting around messy fingers. Lily's…read morehas the answer for that. Wet wipes, right there at the table, in the napkin dispenser. It's little things like that that sets Lily's Wings, Burgers, and Things apart. They stand heads and shoulders above the competition. This small, local, independent eatery is located in a small strip mall adjacent to a gas station and Subway along Northway Drive not far from the YMCA, the Whitney Senior Center and soccer fields, and all of the medical offices located in the vicinity. Lily's serves large bone-in wings, boneless wings, drumsticks, country-style breaded chicken tenders, angus or bison burgers, fish sandwiches, commercial fries, handcut fresh french fries, onion rings, jalapeno poppers, cheese curds, and more. If you don't care for fries, they have homemade cole slaw. What's nice is that there's such a variety. Along with the wings, you can choose from various homemade sauces that range from fruity to spicy, depending upon what you like. I tried the teriyaki sauce with my boneless wing combo and really liked it. It has a kick at the end, but wasn't mouth-on-fire hot. The hand cut, fresh french fries are excellent - among the best I've had in the area. They were perfectly cooked served with homemade ranch dressing. I was given a generous portion of fries to go with my combo, which featured 11 boneless wings. You can sample the sauces before you decide on which one you want to go with your wings. The restaurant is kept clean, and the server/cashier was very helpful to this newbie customer. I've also had a hamburger here - the black and blue. It was done to order (medium well). The bun was soft and delicious, the hamburger was juicy and flavorful, and the toppings (red onion, lettuce and tomato) were fresh. My only complaint, and it's a small one, was that the previous customer had left some sauce residue on the table. There wasn't a lot, and I'm sure it's easy to do at a place like this - where the sauce is the boss - but they may want to check the tables more frequently to make sure they're wiped after each customer. On the downside, it's often the case that they are understaffed. Sometimes, this means that customers up front aren't getting attention because the person is in the back tending to cooking. There really should be more staff on duty or they're going to lose business. On the plus side, each meal is made fresh to order, so that sometimes means waiting a bit for your food. There are a couple of televisions here so you can watch the news or a game. Also, the Lily's food truck ensures that you can enjoy their food when you're out and about. The food truck is frequently seen in downtown St. Cloud, especially in warmer months. You can also order online, and they'll have the order ready for pickup when you get there. It's all these touches that make Lily's a restaurant worth visiting and revisiting. I still can't get over the wet wipes. Only a true wing place would have these, instead of dry napkins. It's touches like that that make Lily's a special place.

The food is decent but it doesn't mean much when it cuts into the time you earn for lunch. The owners wife is very kind but he is not. Makes the clientele feel like we are in the wrong for waiting. Or being dissatisfied with his service. When you know what time lunch is served every week you think you would be able to prep better especially after over a year of doing so. Save your time and Money and cater elsewhere.

She said "I don't decide where you are seated." Didn't leave us any silverware or napkins. It all got better when our server Caleb came over. He was so friendly and such a great server. I'll never forget this one experience I had here like 2 years ago. Writing the review now because…read moreit still makes me mad. It was my friends birthday and we had a group of about 6. We sit down and our server is super awkward but we didn't really gaf. We were like 16 but we weren't disrespectful, we all knew how to tip and we were not running our server around at all like we didn't care. Immediately the server spills like 3 drinks on us and says nothing and walks away. I don't know if she was stressed or what. Another server/manager comes over named Erica and apologized and said she would take care of us and it was fine like we thought it was funny (We were soaked in Sprite). We get our food and then the tickets come back and they are completely wrong. Like every ticket for each person was mixed up. And we were 15/16 so we were all going to pay separately. I'm a bar server now and I know how annoying this can be but it's not the end of the world. And I know Texas Roadhouse servers don't get that many tables at a time so it shouldn't have been that hard. We had our tickets fixed and then we all payed separately and tipped 20% like our mothers taught us. The Erica girl comes back and starts lecturing us about how Venmo exists and we should use it. 16 year olds can't even have Venmo. Nobody here has 200 dollars to drop on this bill we all worked at like Dairy Queen and our paychecks are 150 every two weeks. But okay. We leave and then they proceed to call us and make us pay for a side of fries that they forgot to ring in. I'm still shocked at the audacity. Like after all that you've put us through take it out of the tips or something pookie. It's not our fault that you messed up the checks 10 times. I'm sure none of them were excited to take a 6 top of 16 year olds but damn this was an awful experience. And yeah I'm a high volume server now and would never have created this experience for any customer. Texas Roadhouse, I've always hated you.

TLDR; Make a reservation or be prepared to wait a while. Good booze, great food and equally good…read moreservice. Try sitting outside, it's gorgeous. First impression: BUSY! Very pretty establishment and plenty of parking. Service: They offered reservations, which is always nice. Wait time was higher for indoor seating, but outdoor was tolerable, so we sat outside. Hostess was polite and swift. Waitress was interactive and tolerable to our indecisiveness, despite being so busy. They have a huge pond for outdoor eaters to admire, and it provide a beautiful sense of nature to our outdoor experience. Food: Everything we ordered was fantastically prepared/cooked. Everything was seasoned well, objectively. Seasoning was applied JUST enough to taste it, so as to avoid being over bearing to the more sensitive eaters. It was not so light that I felt like I needed to add anything though. The order/timing our food came out was reasonable and expected, based on population at the time. Drinks: Tea and water were both good. I order a regular margarita every time I try a new place, as part of my initial review process, for consistency. Their margarita was 10/10 and arguably the best I've ever had. I'm a red wine drinker, so I tried the "purple cowboy", since purple is my favorite color. This is my new favorite wine. I'll never not order it when I visit this place. We ordered a flight to try their local beers. Their award winning beer was fantastic. I can see why it won an award. I personally am not a fan of that type of beer, but objectively, and from trying dozens of this type over the years, it was good. Final impression: We've since been back to this Brewery multiple times, and will make it a regular option on our date nights. Highly recommend get reservations first, during "busy" hours though.

This is my opinion on the day we went in and do with it as you want…read more When we first arrived, they were busy. There was a Sunday brunch going on. No problem, we ended up waiting, maybe 15 minutes to get a table. There were 4 of us. That wasn't an issue and the staff was great. We got seated at our table and our waiter, I believe his name was Benjamin, was awesome. Great guy, didn't pressure us to order right away. Gave us time to look and would check in on us. All around great service. He was a 5 star! Even the atmosphere, with it being busy, was what you would expect. A lot of people talking and having a good time, no problems, no issues. We were kind of set back in the corner, which I'm thankful for, because we didn't have the noise from the Brunch area. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the food. With 4 people being served, you would think they would get the fries right? They were over seasoned on everyone's plate, horribly over seasoned. You might as well have been dipping them straight into the container of whatever seasoning was on them. Of the 4 orders of French fries, we left 2 orders on the table. I ordered the Gastro Pub Bison Burger, medium. Benjamin even started it was going to have some pink in the middle, and I said yes. The ticket even stated it. I don't know why they even put it on the ticket if they're going to cook it done. The burger ended up being over cooked and dry. It was a Bison burger, so there's plenty of moisture in those burgers when cooked to medium. This thing comes out as a little nothing sized burger. I wasn't impressed with it at all. My wife's order, Spinach and Artichoke Chicken Sandwich, came out good and she ate it all and really enjoyed it. One daughter had ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. She's had them before at other places and was excited to try their's. Came out ok except for the, what she stated as being too spicy. And again, the fries were over seasoned. My other daughter order a Spicy Dill Flatbread, which turned out really good. She was the only one of us who did like the over seasoned fries. Now when it comes to food, I never send anything back and i don't say anything because we might not be done with ordering. I have the biggest fear about retaliation. You hear the stories from someone you know, of possibly something being a little sketchy when food is reordered or it comes back out, so I just don't do it. I have been here before and it is pretty much the same as I remember it. The staff being great, but the food just being not worth it. The funny thing is it's the Chef's name is on the door when you come in the building. If I was him, I'd be a little embarrassed that his cooking staff can't do a medium burger and do some retraining. At least watch what the cooking staff is doing while preparing food that his name is associated with. I don't need to go back there and eat.

We visited for lunch and the restaurant was about half full. Our server however, was often nowhere to be found & we had to have the food runner attempt to help us on more than one occasion. Even then, we still seemingly couldn't get them to bring us plates for the cornbread. Trying to pay the tab took nearly 15 minutes of just trying to flag her down. My husband ordered their burger & the fries that initially came out with it were super undercooked. My shrimp po boy had a skewer inside the sandwich (not holding the bread together but running the length of the bread.) My mother in law did say her gumbo was amazing & their cornbread was delicious but I just don't think we'll be back, it really was nothing to rave about, even if they were just having an off day.

My husband had the Red Beans and Rice and really enjoyed it. Lots of meat in it. I was hoping for Crafish Étouffée but it isn't on the menu any longer. So I ordered the Shrimp Étouffée. Very disappointed. Only 5 small chunks of shrimp. It also has a sort of poblano verde sauce or maybe a poblano Maque Choux without the corn. Lots of celery. And the small amount of rice. I didn't eat much of it, after the shrimp was gone it was just bad sauce. A wasted $21. The cornbread was nice with honey butter. We split the bread pudding for dinner and it is excellent - DON'T MISS IT! Service was excellent. Especially the bus boy / water refiller. P.S. They don't do anything for anniversaries. Not sure if we will drive over 2 hours each way for Étouffée that was mediocre. The Crawfish Étouffée was excellent last time.
