Nastiest ever Cuban. Sausage? Wtf? From garbage. I hate tossing food.
Michelle A.

What a disappointment! I received a Facebook messenger buy 1 sandwich get one free coupon. Attached is photo of Brisket. Dry and cut in chunks, weird. I didn't eat the bun. Sauces were good. Now the nastiest of all, Cuban. The price of each sandwich was $18.99 and tax $20.08, but you get one side. Now the Cuban, where's the pickles? This sandwich was dry pulled pork and sliced up sausages! WTF! With mustard, and melted cheese. Go to Maneas's and order their Cuban at $6 something and be blown away. I will dig in the garbage to get a picture. You do get 2 half hoagies, but who can eat that much? Now I got a coupon for free barbecue egg roll. I cannot in good conscious recommend. Brisket should be sliced, not in chunks!

So my greedy self came across this place by accident on YouTube when Randy Sartell was doing a challenge here. The food looked delicious and I live close so put two and two together. Lol. I ordered a three meat combo with ribs pulled pork and jalapeno sausage. The owner was super nice and is a really great guy I'd come here for the customer service alone I like that they aren't stingy with sauce get the spicy one its fantastic so as for the food what can I say it's really good .the potato salad is by far my favorite side but the Mac and cheese and cheesy potato casserole isn't bad either. The pulled pork was tender and moist the ribs were also very tender and tasty. The sausage is sausage I mean is there a bad one lol. This place is a solid 4.5 IMO.

We finally got here after watching a food challenge on YouTube (Randy Santel), we loved it and we will be back! We had Long Horn sandwich, 2 meat player and Mac and cheese bowl with brisket and the smokin up Joe. Nothing was disappointed it was all great! The Mac and cheese side was smoked and it was amazing! We can't wait to go again and try something different.

This was our 3rd time being there and now our last. Each time something was wrong with the orders. Wings were cooked to long, forgot part of the order and now egg rolls were burnt.

Brisket & cornbread muffin.

I'm a big fan of good bbq, so when I recently came from WI to visit my bff, we decided to try Up In Smoke BBQ and we were NOT disappointed! I got the one meat plate with brisket, my friend got the Longhorn sandwich. She really liked her sando and I really enjoyed my brisket. My plate came with two sides of choice, so I went with baked beans (YUM!) and Mac & cheese. It also came with a muffintop-style cornbread, but I don't like cornbread so I can't say anything about it since I didn't eat it. But I digress. The beans were delicious, and the Mac & cheese was also very good--very cheesy. And their portion sizes are VERY generous too. You will not walk away feeling hungry! Which is good considering the cost of just my lunch (with a drink) was $25. Inside was smallish, but we just came for a quick lunch so it was perfect. Oh, the chairs were comfortable too! Nice bonus! They also had to-go containers (styrofoam containers both small and large) on the counter that you can just grab-and-go when you're done eating. Great food experience!!

2 meat choices, ribs, and brisket underneath. Potato salad, and cream corn casserole All this, yes! ALL this for $27.

A handful of hi tops. View of the kitchen. Walk-up ordering. I phoned-in for pickup. I ordered two meats: brisket and ribs. It was "Wings Wednesday"- wings for a dollar each. I ordered 2 sets of 3. There are no prices on the online menu. It was my first experience with UiSBBQ, so I just ordered, Without inquiring about the prices. Two meat is $20.99, includes two meat choices nobody would want, and two sides. I asked for cream corn cassarole and potato salad. Ribs and Brisket are $3.00 additional. Each. , making the two meat $27+ tax and tip. The meal comes with a corn bread muffin top. Small. The wings are a great value. Though everything seems to be covered in too much rub. The ribs and the brisket are a really poor value. I received 3 ribs, which cost $4.50 each. I received 4oz of brisket, which cost $3.38/ oz. The ribs were very good- not $4.50 each good, but good. The brisket was not good. Dry, crumbly, small portion, and did I mention DRY? Sauce couldn't bring them back. A pile of crumbles. The potato salad had too much mayo, the corn casserole was a gluey, chewy mess, and waaayy too sweet. Inedible. Over-priced in my opinion. I would definitely look for the daily specials, and I will be back for the wings. Good sauces, though not too spicy, could have more heat. They charge 3% for using a credit card.

Ribs were perfect. Fall off the bone.

Great food and service. Bbq is excellent. Large portions barely made a dent in my meal.

We were greeted by the owner and his son upon walking in...and offered delicious samples of various dishes to help us decide what to order. Each one was incredible, so you can't go wrong!! You order at the counter and then food is brought to your table. There is a fixings bar with limes, cilantro, various salsas, etc. for you to add to your dishes. I had the barbacoa tacos while my husband had the Barbacoa Pozole, which is a traditional Mexican stew or thick soup made with hominy, meat (usually pork or chicken), and a broth that can be red, green, or white. It was AMAZING! Oh, and did I mention they make their own homemade corn tortillas!? If you're in the area, this is a must! They mentioned business has been a little slow lately so they really appreciated us stopping in. Please support them if you can!! You won't regret it!!

Authentic, delicious Mexican food paired with friendly warm and welcoming customer service…read more Emiliano and his father Francisco greeted my wife and I as we entered the restaurant, noticing it was our first time and offered free samples of everything they had to offer. We tried 3 different flavors of pozole, Mexican pork ribs, birria, barbacoa and more. The samples were so delicious it was very hard to choose. We ordered pozole rojo, enchiladas, a taco platter (asada, barbacoa beef, and al pastor), and a side plate of rice and beans. The pozole came with a chicken taquito, lime, cabbage, onions, cilantro, a slice of avocado and chicharones. We are native to Southern California and I can tell you in the central Minnesota area, there is no better Mexican food than what is served in this restaurant, not to mention the hand made tortillas! Don't spend your money elsewhere. This has every other restaurant beat, and it's not close. The customer service is on a different level too, we spoke with the two gentleman like we've known them for years. They were so kind and made us feel right at home. These recipes tasted like my grandmother (who is from Jalisco) was cooking for me again. Easily comfort food. Would recommend to anyone. They also make horchata and jamaica aguas frescas, not with syrup or instant mix. There are many different types salsas available, my favorite was the avocado salsa. Medium heat level with lots of flavor.

This is my opinion on the day we went in and do with it as you want…read more When we first arrived, they were busy. There was a Sunday brunch going on. No problem, we ended up waiting, maybe 15 minutes to get a table. There were 4 of us. That wasn't an issue and the staff was great. We got seated at our table and our waiter, I believe his name was Benjamin, was awesome. Great guy, didn't pressure us to order right away. Gave us time to look and would check in on us. All around great service. He was a 5 star! Even the atmosphere, with it being busy, was what you would expect. A lot of people talking and having a good time, no problems, no issues. We were kind of set back in the corner, which I'm thankful for, because we didn't have the noise from the Brunch area. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the food. With 4 people being served, you would think they would get the fries right? They were over seasoned on everyone's plate, horribly over seasoned. You might as well have been dipping them straight into the container of whatever seasoning was on them. Of the 4 orders of French fries, we left 2 orders on the table. I ordered the Gastro Pub Bison Burger, medium. Benjamin even started it was going to have some pink in the middle, and I said yes. The ticket even stated it. I don't know why they even put it on the ticket if they're going to cook it done. The burger ended up being over cooked and dry. It was a Bison burger, so there's plenty of moisture in those burgers when cooked to medium. This thing comes out as a little nothing sized burger. I wasn't impressed with it at all. My wife's order, Spinach and Artichoke Chicken Sandwich, came out good and she ate it all and really enjoyed it. One daughter had ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. She's had them before at other places and was excited to try their's. Came out ok except for the, what she stated as being too spicy. And again, the fries were over seasoned. My other daughter order a Spicy Dill Flatbread, which turned out really good. She was the only one of us who did like the over seasoned fries. Now when it comes to food, I never send anything back and i don't say anything because we might not be done with ordering. I have the biggest fear about retaliation. You hear the stories from someone you know, of possibly something being a little sketchy when food is reordered or it comes back out, so I just don't do it. I have been here before and it is pretty much the same as I remember it. The staff being great, but the food just being not worth it. The funny thing is it's the Chef's name is on the door when you come in the building. If I was him, I'd be a little embarrassed that his cooking staff can't do a medium burger and do some retraining. At least watch what the cooking staff is doing while preparing food that his name is associated with. I don't need to go back there and eat.
