Happened to be nearby and stopped here on a whim. Ordered the beef and broccoli and an eggroll. The beef and broccoli was very good, and the portion sizes were nice. I'm definitely getting two full meals out of this instead of one! The eggroll wasn't anything special and probably wouldn't order it again. It is the best Chinese food in the area. I've tried a lot of different places in Saint cloud, and have not been impressed with any of them. Certainly not the stat of China one even though I have to travel 10 miles round-trip. It's worth it for me whenever you go into the restaurant there is always a small line ahead of me which means they do a tremendous carry out business Saint Joseph is a college town, and there are always students there, I think it speaks for itself. The prices are reasonable the food is very good. Sometimes it could be a little difficult to communicate because of the language barriers with the people are very friendly and decent. Have never eaten there in person so don't know about that, but the place looks very clean all I can say it's worth the 10 mile trip for me read more

We all agree that our favorite Chinese takeout place is China One in The Middle of Buttf*** Nowhere, Minnesota. My go-to is the orange chicken and cream cheese wontons. The best orange chicken and best cream cheese wontons I've ever had, especially with their reasonable prices! Don't listen to Melissa F. It's hilarious because she included that the people who work there are hard to understand. I eat here once a week until this week... I stopped in to pick up my online order & what I saw made me sick. I will never go back. On the floor was spilt wontons or dumplings, along with it's contain & lid. Pretty obviously it had fallen. I watch the cook scoop them up with his bare hands, put them into the container with the lid back into the fridge! He then went back to cooking the food. He never washed his hands nor was he wearing gloves. I confronted him about what I saw & he just shook his head at me & went back to cooking. While the food was delicious, it was the service that left a bad taste in my mouth. Young woman working, pounded on the plexiglass when she couldn't hear me and was rude with me when I asked questions and tried making conversation. After she handed me my receipt to sign she walked away, no 'thank you' or 'come again.' I'll think twice before visiting here again based on this experience. read more

Since our go to spot has recently started closing Sunday's and since most of the other places are sub par, we decided to venture out and try China One. So glad we did. The menu had so many choices it was hard to chose. I ended up choosing the triple in garlic sauce. Last item on the menu. And my husband got the beef lo Lo mein. I was so excited to see steamed dumpling. Something that's been missing from other restaurants. My husband loves cream cheese wontons so had to get that as well. Finally tried the egg rolls out to see how those compared. The egg rolls were mostly cabbage and very little pork and didn't have the noodles like other places have in them. Those are the best. The steamed crumpling a were made well. The cream cheese wontons were big and tastes good but could have used more filling. For our meals honestly both were the best we have had by far. The quality of the meat is awesome and the prices are pretty good for the meals. Apps were a bit pricey and I wish there would be half orders. I didn't give it 5 stars only because of the egg rolls and the difficulty of eating with plastic utensils and styrofoam plates. They serve everything in styrofoam even if you dine in. Small price to pay for quality Chinese. The family and owners were very polite and friendly. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended. Their speed of service from time of order to it sitting in front of you is 10 minutes or less they are very efficient. read more

Twice in the last 2 months we have gotten sick from undercooked chicken from this place. Hard to support local when this is happening. Let alone the obnoxious wait time. Told 20 minutes, ends up being an hour, and still undercooked. Absolutely done with this dump. read more

So me and my friends went tried this out the other day the set up of the place is terrible and having plastic forks and plastic cups is so gross to me and not right your a restaunt come on ! And having the drinks right next to where people sit to wait for their food is a terrible ideal the people working there can be very rude and very hard to understand but as far as the food gose you for sure get your money's worth and it is very delicious some things could use more flavor like the shrimp but it took me 45 minutes to receive my food witch is bullshit so I would eat there again but I will definitely call ahead and place my order before I go and pick it up read more

Someday I would like karate chop the person in charge of making every Chinese restaurant so damn boring... they all have the same crappy menu pictures, tables/chairs, decorations, diner combination, etc. Come here for respectable Chinese take-out at reasonable prices but don't expect anything authentic or exciting.
