I had to go back twice for glasses, and finally gave up due to his incompetence. When I called to make the first appointment, I explained that I had double vision that required a prism lens in addition to my regular prescription. I was told that the doctor was proficient with this type of vision issue. He was not! When I picked up the first pair, he didn't even check my vision with the new glasses. The next morning, I called and explained that these glasses were worse than my old ones. Their answer was to keep them for a week because it takes time to get used to the new prescription. This has never been my experience with new glasses. The next pair I received (after another eye exam) was worse than the first. I asked for a refund which I did receive. The doctor did not even talk to me or apologize to me for his inflated opinion of his ability. I asked for a refund. I am now going to another doctor who performed many different exams and procedures and, while it took quite a while, I couldn't be happier with the results. If I could have rated his a 0, I would have.

I was in need of immediate care and took a chance and left a message at Kaye Eye Care on Memorial Day. I then received a text that I would receive a call in 15 minutes. Dr Liesl Kaye returned my call within 15 minutes and asked all the right questions. She then advised Dr Preston Kaye would be in the office that afternoon if I chose to visit or first thing Tuesday morning. I, of course, took the opportunity to visit asap that afternoon (Memorial Day). Dr Preston Kaye examined my eyes and prescribed medication along with advice on care for my eyes. He advised someone would call me in the morning for a follow up appointment within 10 days to confirm eyes are improving. I received a call Tuesday morning at 9am. Kaye Eye Care is great. Professional service with great results. My eyes are improving every day. I highly recommend Kaye Eye Care for all your eye care needs. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you, Dr. Kaye.

The doctor recommended that I get several treatments that are not covered under insurance. Some I got, but none of them helped. When I refused to purchase specialty contact lenses from a colleague/friend of hers that would not be covered under my insurance, she tried to bully me into purchasing, by refusing to renew my prescription. Bonnie in Optical is also amazing. She does such a great job fitting me with just the right glasses. I'm pretty persnickety about my eyewear, yet she is so kind and patient. There was a black-haired man in Optical also--I don't know if he's still there. The last time I was there, I'd asked him a question about the way my glasses rested on my face. At first, he dismissed me. When I pressed for an answer, he became agitated, scowling and loudly telling me he didn't "understand." I tried to calmly explain again as he stood there, arms crossed with the scowl on his face until a kind, blonde woman intervened. She was able to understand and answer my question in literally less than a minute, thank God. I haven't been bullied like that in years. Zero stars for him!

I recently started an initiative where I seek out and support local businesses as Woodstock badly needs to boost its businesses. For example, I have a wonderful tailor who does fantastic work. I quickly learned my lesson from this experience, and I will return to large eyecare/medical companies where I dont need to deal with an extensive hassle. 3 times. 3 times I've had to return just to put an order in. The docotor is nice and explains everything, but he's all too happy to just "we'll just have you rescheudle." On the 3rd visit I told them to just give me the prescription so I could just order online. Thankfully, I did this. In less than an 30 minutes I had my order in. Just imagine if I had them do it. It would have been another 3 visits. Eye exam, eye dilation, contact measurements, order the contacts, pick up the contacts, and dance around the may pole. Never had needed this before. They need to understand people have busy lives and ccan't just constantly come back in. The eye dialation is another story. I told them I didn't feel safe driving with my eyes dialated and would need to bring a driver. They acted insulted I said such a thing and everyone else can do it just fine. I litterally heard a scoff when I said this. Well, luckily, I brought someone to drive, as I was pretty much blind. I want to point out that most eye companies use a new non-dialation method to do the same exam. I should have backed out and went straight to Rosin when I was told I need to come back for the dialation, but I figured it would be in and out and done. Maybe I was just being unreasonable. Nope. It's not me. Chances are they won't read this as Im sure they don't care.
