Why don't they answer the phone during normal business hours? I have tried several times to reach them about rescheduling an appointment with no success. No answer, no voicemail. This business needs to join the 21st century. Unfortunately, they are the only optometrist in the area that accepts my insurance so I am stuck going here. Although I have heard good things about Dr. Dannat, I am hesitant now because if you can't cover the basic things like communicating with customers efficiently, you probably aren't up to business standards. read more

By the way, she has made six pairs of glasses for our family always in a timely and professional manner. I have never had a problem. She is prompt and has good customer service skills. DR is really nice however if you choose to go their be ready to meet the rudest receptionist ever and don't expect to get what you order,, you just get whatever you get whenever they feel like getting it to you and sometimes it's already broken!!! I brought my child in almost 2 weeks ago and she needs glasses dr was friendly however his receptionist is the rudest most hate the world person I ever met, after seeing dr we come out she says well you can pick anything in the white bins with your insurance but it will take 6-8 weeks ,, so I asked if I could get them faster if I bought them. She was adjusted but said yes for 68$ I could buy 2 pairs and have them in between 2-7 days depending if they have to order them and again said pick 2 of anything in the white bins so my child picks 2 pairs we give them to her and check back 3 days later.. when I stopped in she got up and finishing her phone conversation that FYI sounded really personal and looked in the bins and nope not today sorry try back tomorrow. So silly me I stop back the next day 2 trip day 4 to stand in front of her desk waiting while she talks on the phone for a bit then says to me . Still nothing guess it took a few days cuz we had to order them.but we have them in and the works now so they back tomorrow or the day after. So trip 3 day 9 comes around I stop in and still don't have them but she said check back at the end of the day cuz they are making them.so I call a hour before close and she says that they be ready any time after 9 am the next day so I go in around 11, shes on the phone again and the conversation I hear gos like this( o girl I am telling ya for real) umm I stand there she turns her back to me for a second then realizes I am not leaving so she rolls her eyes and throws her arms up and runs in the back on the phone never saying a word to me. No hello no I am going to go get them ,, shes still rambling on the phone back there and clearly shes making my childs glasses, dr walks in the back room and now her ton and conversation quickly changes to just yes and no and says look forward to seeing you soon gets off the phone.. clearly shes hiding a personal call from the dr,, she stumps back out slaps one pair of glasses she just tossed together 10 days later. Theirs shards of plastic hanging in the viewing area finger prints and they are not the right frames. She says you have to come back for the other pair we have to order them! So after standing waiting 10-15 with out a hello with the wrong glasses in hand I am pretty hot under the collar.. so I said what? Yesterday you said you have them ready today by 9 am, she argue sane and there they are so I asked how many did I buy 2 and you can come back later for the rest! Then she says I told you we have 1 pair for you today yesterday and you got them,, so I tell her this is not acceptable!!! Dr comes out offers to make them right then cuz magically they do have the stuff to make them,, unfortunately again not the frames I requested and when I look at them in the light in the parking lot theirs a chip in the glass cuz he tried to rush getting them done in 5 minutes so I took them back in left them with the wicked witch of eye wear and will call the dr later as I also still gotta pick up the ones from my insurance and the glass in the 2 sets the ones she made and the ones he made are different smh I liked the dr but that lady is making his office a joke! Poor guy could do so much better with out that evil lazy lady who literally put 5 minutes of work off for almost 2 weeks and kept saying tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow! Shes the worst I really hope dr , will get this taken care of and has some way to know what she put in them frames cuz if I pick the other pairs up next week and next month and the glass is still different per pair and my childs had the wrong RX on for a week or 2 I am going to really need prayers to stop me from losing it on this angry bitter lazy women read more

It's a shame the eye doctor has such a lousy receptionist, because he was quite good. Unfortunately if you want your glasses in a timely manner and hope use your insurance this is not the place to go. The receptionist will make excuses why it's not cover with out even contact your insurance so will have call them for her. Then she won't actually let you know your glasses are ready and make a lame excuse she tried calling. Unfortunately she not good at lying so her attempt to was a date prior to when the glasses claim was processed. So if you have the time and energy to do the receptionist job give them a try. If you want peace of mind it will get done correctly without having to call and check on the progess, pick somewhere else. read more

The staff here is incredible. They were very good at making sure my son had the correct contacts and that was no easy task. They have given him samples to try until he found one that was sturdy and comfortable -- my son tends to be hard on his contacts. They have a great selection and the prices can't be beat. read more

I've been buying glasses and contacts from Value Eyewear since 2010 and have had nothing but good luck with them. The glasses I have now are reasonably good-looking and quite comfortable, and the service has been just fine. I'm not quite sure why the reviews are negative, though they seem to be a result of consumer ignorance, not poor service. I wish they had their own lab and could turn glasses around faster like the bigger companies, it's the only thing holding them back from perfection. read more

I bought a pair of glasses from Value Eyewear one and one half years ago. I paid over 170.00 for these glasses. The frames went bad due to bad construction. Not from damage or misuse. I went back to Value Eyewear to get another frame. I was told they no longer sold that frame. I would have to buy another frame. They sold me a frame for 32.00. The frame did not fit my glasses properly. It has a gap in the top between the frame and lens. I was told if it came out to just pop it back in. The frame they sold me did not match the original and it did not match my face, hair color, or anything else. I would not recommend buying glasses from Value Eyewear. Their frame selection is very limited. No frame in their store would fit the lens they sold me just one and a half years ago. Now I must go out and buy a pair from someone else. Eyeglasses should last longer than one year. read more
