I came back in at the beginning of January and they informed me they only had one of the correct contacts for me (the right contact) and I needed to make another appointment once the other contact came in (for my left eye) and it would be 2-3 days for that. After a few days of not hearing back I gave them a call and they said the contact sample was not in yet and they would call me when it was. 2 weeks go by since my appointment so I decide to call them. They inform me the sample is in and setup an appointment for me (were they ever going to call me?) I came today for my "appointment" and they seemed confused to why I was there. I could then overhear them talking about how I wasn't on the books and they must have "forgotten". That felt super welcoming. I was taken to the room and they tried to give me a different prescription for both of my eyes even though the one for my right eye was correct. I had to explain this to them and they corrected it. Also, my first appointment they tried to upsell me pricey eye wash and a pricey eye mask. It just seemed super salesy and weird. I am giving two stars instead of one because the people I have interacted with have been personable and friendly. I'm just confused as to why all of these errors keep happening, especially for the cost of this place.

When it was time to pick up my glasses, Jane was the one who gave them to me and I figured nothing could go wrong with that, but she used a regular Kleenex to clean the lenses which left debris all over them, when I mentioned it to her and asked if she had something else, she let out a loud frustrated sigh, literally THREW my glasses case onto the desk, and stormed off to the lab to clean them. It was the one interaction I had with her today, and it was the end of the world for her. Don't deal with Jane. I looked at her name tag just to write this review.

The manager helped us (I forgot her name) and she was helpful, and nice, as were the employees we dealt with that day. All three pairs were made in 30 minutes. (it's quick turnaround if they have the lenses in stock). We got texts letting us know and when we got the third text we headed back to pick them up. They noticed some sort of issue with one pair in the meantime and were already remaking them when we arrived so we waited a few more minutes but we are happy they caught the issue before we left. I had become increasingly dissatisfied over the last few years but continued coming because this was the office I had always gone to. This experience was the final straw. I scheduled an appointment online on August 13th, largely because getting someone to answer the phone is nearly impossible. I received appointment reminders on August 14th and August 18th. On August 18th, the office also called me to confirm my appointment. I spoke directly with someone and confirmed it. On August 21st, I arrived 15 minutes early for my 3:00 PM appointment. At check-in, I was told they were running behind and it would be a while. I said, "Wonderful," and sat down. I wasn't upset about waiting--I expected it. Five minutes later, I was called back to the desk and told I DIDN'T HAVE AN APPOINTMENT because it had been canceled for failure to confirm. I explained that was impossible. I had received multiple reminders AND personally spoke with someone from their office to confirm it. Instead of acknowledging that something clearly went wrong on their end, I was told the phone conversation never happened. Then today, August 28th--SEVEN DAYS AFTER MY APPOINTMENT--I received a text from Primary Eye Care saying my August 21st appointment at 3:00 PM had been canceled. So which is it? I was turned away on August 21st because I supposedly didn't have an appointment because it had already been canceled. Yet seven days later, their own system sent me confirmation that the appointment existed and was just now being canceled. Afterward, I learned that they did essentially the same thing to my mom only a few weeks earlier. Mistakes happen. What is unacceptable is refusing to take accountability, wasting a patient's time, and telling them a phone conversation they personally had with your office never occurred. After being a longtime patient, Primary Eye Care has permanently lost my business and my family's business. Your patients' time matters. Your patients deserve to be listened to. And when your office makes a mistake, own it instead of making the patient feel like they're the problem. I strongly recommend others consider their options before choosing this office.

THE black frame that had all the qualities I was looking for, that was not the tired, straight-across rectangular frame or generic wayfarer, perfect "lift", oversized but not garishly so, edgy, COOL, and totally reasonable at $79.95. In the kids' department. My horsey face and near-negative PD rejoiced. I was not planning to buy from America's Best and yet these frames were irresistible. I even looked elsewhere online for them to try and save more money, but cannot find them anywhere. America's Best, take my money!! Kudos to you for updating your selection with lots of relevant, flattering frames! Oh, and the opticians present when I stopped in were totally accommodating of my little kids playing and trying on frames, and I chatted quite awhile with one about mom stuff. It was close to closing time, too, and they were great! So friendly. Tl;dr I never expected to walk into America's Best after 6 years and find a frame I LOVED, and that's exactly what happened. This is NOT that place! I first found them about 1.5 years ago when nobody else would do the work I needed. They were the ONLY place I could find that would fit lenses on a special frame I already had. I had Airsoft/ski goggles with special frame inserts. They were happy to take care of my needs and exceeded my expectations. I have since had them do custom work like this again and have always been extremely happy with not only the results but the experience. Today I had a lens fall out on my sunglasses. I did not buy them here. My warranty has run out at the local chain store I got them from a few years back. I just thought they deserved my business after my previous interactions and brought them here. They gladly fixed them for me and absolutely refused payment. I actually tried....
