I was so happy to have an economical solution for my prescription sunglasses! I walked out the door with my sunglasses in less then an hour for less than $50. The service was great! James really went out of his way to help me and my new sunglasses are super cute.

I spend substantially less money there than when I used to get glasses & contacts with insurance at other stores. I have progressive polycarbonate trifocals with amazing frames and they cost me a third of what I was quoted somewhere else. And even though the value is important. Service is even more important to me. They are the place to go and I highly recommend you call them today. Ask about the really cool prescription sunglasses they can make you in any color and style. I have been going here for eye exams and contacts and glasses for years. I recently ran out of…read morecontacts and need to get an eye exam. They informed me that the optometrist is now remote. Since I have a cataract developing, I need a live optometrist to monitor its development and let me know when to see an opthomologist for a consult. The receptionist told me, "oh, you"ll know when to go. My dad was told he would just know when his vision is bad enough." Huh? Should a receptionist be giving advice like this from a professional optometry business? I asked if I could get an extension for a month or two on my contacts and she refused to even ask the optometrist on staff. When I asked her for my prescription she was trying to mislead me until I informed her that my records belong to me. So she printed out my prescription and wrote in large red letters "this prescription has expired. Do not fill it"" I told her my daughter gets her contacts over the internet with needing a yearly eye exam. This company hates its patients. Period. She had nothing to offer except rudeness and lack of concern Oh and their robot that answers the phone is really ridiculous. She used to go on and on answering questions you didn't even ask. 5 minutes of monologue from her when all you need to know is what time is my appointment. At least that's better. Now she says things like". I can help you schedule an appointment. Oops something has gone wrong. Please call back later. No I will get an agent to help you". Are you kidding me?. I will say that the optometrists I've seen there over the years have been wonderful and the products have been fantastic. But what's going on there now is heartbreaking.

I had a number of concerns that he addressed during the appointment and once tested explained. I was very pleased with my appointment. The appointment was on time and took about 30-45 minutes as I expected. I have been going to an optometrist for half my life and this was by far the first time I felt like my time was considered (they weren't double booked) and thoroughly explained the tests, my results, and what it meant. But the automated phone call tells me my prescription is ready. The pharmacist and the assistant have no idea what is going on. I have excellent insurance and they told me Walgreens never submitted yet. As I still waited. I called my old Walgreens in Chicago and they get it for me every month on time and it's worth paying for FedEx to deliver. My family and I no longer shop here.. NEVER Received a call from them, business as usual I guess....

The manager helped us (I forgot her name) and she was helpful, and nice, as were the employees we dealt with that day. All three pairs were made in 30 minutes. (it's quick turnaround if they have the lenses in stock). We got texts letting us know and when we got the third text we headed back to pick them up. They noticed some sort of issue with one pair in the meantime and were already remaking them when we arrived so we waited a few more minutes but we are happy they caught the issue before we left. I will go there when I need new glasses.

The doctors themselves were fine. In fact, when my new $1000 glasses worked for distance but not…read morefor my computer or reading, I went to another company for a second opinion. They told me that they would have given me the same prescription. The problem apparently is with the lab. The front office personnel tried several times to adjust the frames to no avail. I finally quit wearing the new ones and went back to my old ones. My old ones were pretty much equal for distance which begs the question: did I really need new glasses at all? Also, if I can see my computer and read clearly with my old glasses, why can't their lab make comparable lenses? Basically, I wasted $1000. I would recommend them for an exam, but take your prescription elsewhere to have your lenses made.
