Beautifully cooked food and wonderful service. The lemon tart was probably the best lemon tart I've ever had!

Had dinner here on a Friday night, yesterday, with 3 girlfriends at 7pm. Drinks were good especially the Italian sour. The starter platter was a good portion for us, 4 hungry ladies. No one ordered pizza so that was a bummer, but next time for sure. Not a generous portion of the pasta dishes but just enough. Pasta is definitely quality over quantity and a relatively generous portion of meat. I had and recommend the rabbit pappardelle - delicious earthy pasta dish. Pasta had a nice bite to it. If you like lemon desserts, you have to get the lemon brulee! Only down side was the service. Not the warm, attentive service we expected. Warm atmosphere and delicious Italian food

Homemade pasta . Certified wood pizza oven . Cozy atmosphere with amazing service . House-cured meats for charcuterie This place is a must for any Italian food lovers. The restaurant is cozy and inviting, with a beautiful patio for the summer months. The food is to die for. We had the charcuterie board and then split a pizza and taglitelle pasta. They actually use the ends of the meats they cure in-house! As for the service, it was excellent. Friendly and helpful, we never felt rushed. We actually ordered a bit too much, so they held off on making the pasta while we enjoyed our wine for a bit. Overall this place is an absolute gem. Pro tip - the lovely Amelia Cottage next door serves F'Amelia pizza, as well as homemade stew. Great, cozy place especially for Toronto winters!

I came here with Mel C and another friend to try F'Amelia's pumpkin menu items (there was a pasta and a dessert). Honestly, I don't even think I love pumpkin that much, but Mel C has brainwashed me into thinking that I do. And of course, free parking around the neighbourhood is always a bonus! The decor was rustic and charming, reminicsent of a cozy traditional Italian kitchen. I would love to dine here during the day, when sunlight can flood into the room. We started off with two kinds of bread, served with olive oil. We all particularly loved the flatbread, which was reminiscent of pizza dough. Lucky that the bread was not served individually and not by the basket. Otherwise I would've eaten a lot more of it. Now onto the food: Pumpkin gnocchi with brown butter and sage, topped with amaretti crumble. The gnocchi had a really nice texture- soft and pillowy, just the way I like it. I could definitely taste the pumpkin, but I would've liked a little more of it. What I found strange was the sweetness of the dish. I expected a savoury pasta, but instead, the flavour combination was closer to the dessert end, particularly with the addition of amaretti crumble. However, the dish was undoubtedly unique, and I don't regret my choice. Crespelle stuffed with prosciutto, 1608 cheese and spinach. This was my favourite of the night! The pasta was so soft that it seemingly fused with the cheese. The whole time, I felt like I was eating ham and spinach au gratin. The cheese was rich, creamy and absolutely delicious! The portion looks small, but the abundance of cheese made it very filling. We bullied our other friend James into ordering a pizza, and he went with our server's recommendation- Di Parma with fior di latte, tomato sauce, prosciutto di Parma D.O.P., and extra virgin olive oil. I had a small slice and enjoyed it. The crust was very thin, which I liked. Desserts... Brûlée pumpkin tart with lavender chantilly cream. I found the lavendar bizarre and interesting, but luckily, it was quite subtle and not overwhelming. I wasn't overly impressed with the tart because the pastry was too thick and dry. With tarts, I really prefer the rustic ones that are more gooey and buttery. F'Amelia offers a foursquare sign-in special in which you can get your second dessert 50% off. With that in mind, we coerced James into ordering a dessert as well (we're just wonderful friends!). He went with a more innovative dessert- wood oven baked apple and cinnamon pizza with vanilla ice cream. I love the concept of a dessert pizza, even though I didn't love the actual execution. There was just too much dough, and I'm not sure I want to be eating more carbs for dessert after indulging in a meal of bread, pasta and pizza. I also found it to be a little dry overall. Maybe adding more of that delicious vanilla ice cream would have helped. A word of warning: this dessert pizza is huge! I definitely recommend sharing this between at least 4 people if you don't want to be stuffed. Despite the slightly disappointing desserts, I quite enjoyed our meal as a whole at F'Amelia. The menu changes seasonally, so I would definitely come back and try other items in the future. All in all, it's a great place for a cozy, heartwarming meal.

    Special: mushroom risotto

I came here for my parents anniversary. I love the rustic decor, and would love to come back for patio season. The atmosphere was very homey. The service was fantastic, and the prices were pretty decent for a nicer restaurant. As far as the food went, I had the mushroom risotto special. It was a bit salty and too creamy (not enough rice). However, saltiness aside, it was really tasty and had a handful of mushrooms on top. It was very rich and filling, so I ended up having leftovers for later. There was a flat pita bread for the table. It was delicious with hints of rosemary. We loved it so much the server filled up the basket 4 times. The soup was delicious and hearty. My parents both had the lasagne. I tried some and it was delicious and hearty as well. It was quite a big portion, and I loved how it came in a cute single serve dish. I didn't try the pizza, but did notice it was cooked in a brick oven, which is hard to mess up. I will try that next time. The dessert was only mediocre. I think I'd rather get an appetizer than a dessert next time. I will come back for sure.

    The weekly special pizza.

Such a cute restaurant for authentic Italian food. Would recommend this for a date night or a dinner with friends. We visited this restaurant a while back so I can't recall our exact order but we emptied our plates! The staff was very prompt and friendly and brought us loads of additional dressings that we ordered. Will definitely be going back. Also a great place for Insta photos!

This is a wine bar - the house lager was bad (maybe my own bad decision) and the red I got was fine ... nothing to write home about. However place fell apart with the food - the shrimp came with 5 medium sized shrimp with the tails, legs and shells on and were under seasoned. The artichokes were mediocre (loved the sauce they came with). Worst of all was the "Ontario peaches" with the burrata were totally canned peaches - could've even been dole brand! This place has amazing potential with the location and vibe - but the food just was not it. Small portions and the price didn't match what was served. The service was friendly but nothing too crazy. Go here for the drinks, but maybe not for the dinner!

Our server was great at helping us pick our wine, he mentioned that their wines are all on the dry side which is perfect for me, I'm not one for sweet wines. We also had two of their small plates the mussels and the burrata. The mussels tasted great with the sauce, a little garlicky which I prefer. The combination of the peach and mint went really well with the burrata. Light and easy to eat. The patio at night is one of the highlights. The only small complaint was it did take a while to get our wine after we ordered it and a little while to get our check. Otherwise cute spot.

Lots of decent beers on draft and they leave water bottle to refill your water cups, which I love. Service is bit slow. Had to sit at the bar since it was crowded at 6:30pm and still had to wait 30 mins. I normally don't eat at the bar, since bartenders are slower and busier with drink orders, but I was starving. Bartender only checked on us once, when food came out. Hard to get their attention too. Food, however, was amazing! Love the savory giant meatball and the rich San Marzano tomato-based marinara sauce, with dab of pesto and plenty of fresh basil. Loved the sauce was not too acidic and pasta cooked perfectly, not al dente. The focaccia bread comes with this rosemary garlic butter, and it was absolutely delicious on focaccia. The focaccia bread alone was just okay, not much rosemary or oil flavor, but I think the spread had all the flavor. Amazing and worth $6.

Food 3/5 Service 3/5…read moreAmbiance 3/5 Food: I came here for an event. There was a set menu with appetizers (salad, bread etc) most of it I couldn't eat due to food allergies. For the main dish we could choose from gnocchi, salad with salmon or another dish which I can't recall right now. Dessert was ice cream which I also couldn't eat. The gnocchi was very mediocre. I didn't enjoy it at all. I hadn't been here in years but I see their food quality hasn't gotten any better. I was starving by the time the main dish came out so I ate about a quarter of the dish. Then I took the rest of the gnocchi home. Service: The waitstaff were really nice but the service was not very organized. There was a lot of appetizers but I couldn't eat most of it. Which is strange because I gave my food allergies several days in advance of the meal. It took some time to get the main dish as well so the pacing didn't seem great. I looked around at the other tables & we got our main dishes last. I'm not sure if the kitchen was at fault or what. Ambiance: It's quite dark here even on the lunch hour. The decor is dark wood tones, red upholstered banquette seating & wooden tables & chairs. It's not a fancy place. I would not choose to eat here again. Last time I went was several years ago. Sadly I see they haven't gotten any better. There are other better Italian restaurants in this area.
