A woman named sally serving at cheese counter made my day. She gave me plenty of undivided attention as I made my cheese selections. She was informed about all jf them and vacuum sealed them. She made recommendations for me outside of what was at the counter, such as for butters, once she understood my desires. She was very kind and friendly. Hard to explain but she does her job with joy. Decent selection of Irish made cheese and international cheese.

I'd probably give it 4.5. I had the house smoked salmon as a starter, it was fantastic. Not too strong but also a very nice flavor, excellent pieces of salmon and the accompanying salmon mouse was also excellent. Followed with the duck breast, also done very well, good sized portion. The mixed greens side also was nice, I liked the dressing. My only drawback was I was originally the only diner (about 12:30 for lunch), which was a little off putting, probably due to the quite formal nature of the restaurant.

This place is like one of my favorite places here The store itself has unique species of fruits, vegetables and mushrooms. The bakery has nice items as well. They have a cute cafe on the ground floor. They also have high end cold cuts (deli meat) , a verity of cheese and Foie Gras for your charcuterie board at the back On the top floor they have a restaurant and at the bottom floor (basement) they have a wine cellar With great fresh pizza's, charcuterie board options, freshly made pasta options and other mini bite. Super good! For the wine cellar, Price varies depending on drinks if you order any, but food wise it's around €70-100 for 2 people. This would include the almost €30 for the highest charcuterie board, two main dishes, pasta, one pizza, salad and dessert. Definitely a nice and relaxing experience when visiting Dublin, definitely recommended

Really lovely dinner experience here, a super affordable yet enticing menu with lots of great pasta options especially. Get some olives, a pasta, and the tiramisu and you'll leave a happy guest. The pasta was nicely prepared, the flavor not as deeply mushroom as I would've liked so the bites without mushrooms felt a bit lacking. Seems like a hard place not to enjoy.

The wall of wines. The best selection for every taste.

The food was top rate and the service was wonderful. The ambiance was great but it does get noisy and conversation was difficult every now and then. But it was one of the best restaurants I visited in Dublin. Plus the market upstairs is phenomenal. Worth a visit!!

Hidden for sure. Ground floor is a normal market, right on the thick of town, but downstairs has a very lowkey wine bar. I wanted a recharge break after being out & about all day and this was it - glass of wine + arancini. Food was just ok but the ambiance and wine were both worth stopping in

The spot to buy authentic soda bread!!! Cheeky funny foodie heaven! Fallon & Byrne, how I love your store! It honestly puts Whole Foods to shame with the careful curation of local food items. And yes, prices might be a bit expensive but the produce section looked so edible and it smelt like fresh spring vegetables! The variety of breads - with Dulce and also Soda bread was another winner. I can see why this store consistently keeps winning green grocer of the year awards - seeing the butcher in action was a work of art. I found so many good foodstuffs I would have liked to purchase that I really had to be judicious with my purchases. However if you are looking for a place to purchase Soda Bread, then this is definitely it! Highly recommended. Yelp 97 / 2019

    The Works Charcuterie Board.

What a gem. We ordered the "Works" charcuterie board. It was fantastic. Nice change from pubs. Love a great glass of wine. Lots to options for wine. Great staff that took care of us. Our board ran out of bread and they were quick to bring is more. When you need a break from a pub, you should come to F&B.

Gee, I thought Fallon & Byrne was a comedy skit on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" where he and a completely unrecognizable Rose Byrne play a pair of New Jersey ambulance chasers pitching their legal services to car accident victims: http://www.hulu.com/watch/378535#i1,p889,d2 Well, it's not as funny as the chandelier and marble column commercials on "Saturday Night Live" where Scarlett Johansson pointed to all the merchandise in her sparkly gown. But I digress. It turns out Fallon & Byrne is actually the Dean & Deluca of Dublin or maybe the Dubliner's Draeger's since they offer an adjacent upscale restaurant, too. That should give you enough of an image of this gourmet food hall on bar-friendly Exchequer Street close to the Temple Bar area. Organic produce. Venison and partridge. Exotic fruits from Southeast Asia. Aged Comté cheese. Fancy pastries. Prime Irish Angus beef. What more could you possibly want? Seriously... WHAT MORE? (see photos).

Roasted butternut squash & kale salad with red onion, toasted seeds, quinoa & avocado purée

Visited on Sunday 25 February 2018, for an evening meal. Fallon & Byrne restaurant appealed to everyone because it offers a range of menus including vegan. We had a quick walk around their food hall (no time to check out the wine cellar unfortunately) and made our way upstairs. From their Vegan Friendly Menu I selected: Starter: roasted butternut squash & kale salad with red onion, toasted seeds, quinoa & avocado purée. Main: asparagus & aubergine layered with slow roast tomatoes, mixed leaf & balsamic. Dessert: rhubarb & pear crumble with raspberry sorbet. Service was good, ingredients seasonal, flavours balanced and wine excellent. If I was to fault anything, it's that perhaps my starter could have been a bit more substantial and a couple of people in our party ordered Roasted Globe of Artichoke mains but found the artichoke a bit tough and chewy. Ultimately though Fallon & Byrne is a beautiful, elegant, restaurant and fine dining experience. We had a lovely, relaxing evening.

I love browsing around Fallon & Byrne's market area, but it's hard to walk out empty-handed. Everything they carry is consistently high quality, though perhaps a tad pricey. If you're looking for any specialty items/imported ingredients and can't find them in your local Tesco, try this place. I've come here for everything from trying to find good marzipan for a whisky pairing to Angostura bitters. When I have a craving for oysters, I often go to the fish counter here because they're open late enough for me to drop by after work (when most other fish shops would be closed). They also have a great selection of meats & cheeses... if you have dinner guests you need to impress, splurge for the jamon iberico bellota. This acorn-fed cured ham will just melt in your mouth. Of course, your charcuterie board wouldn't be complete without a fresh crusty bread. Don't worry - the bread selection immediately on your left as you enter the store is amazing as well.

Usually, the dining room comprises an underground hideaway that is quite sleek and intimate. However, due to the lockdown measures, we had to do outdoor seating directly on William Street while we were there. The experience was still beautiful, thanks to the surrounding scenery. The cocktails were grand between the P61 Signature Cocktail and the Hugo -- both prosecco-based cocktails. The former was delicious between the peach puree and prosecco, while the latter was a little more tart with the elderflower cordial. For dinner, we kicked things off with gluten-free bread with a trio of dips that were quite tasty. The Tortellini I ordered was exquisite and scrumptious with how it was prepared between the goat cheese, asparagus, red onion, wilted spinach, cream sauce, and bacon. I applauded this lovely dish with the last bite. I devoured the warm almond flour brownie for dessert, served with chocolate sauce and gelato, which my wife could also enjoy since the dish was gluten-free. Overall, Platform 61 was a great way to conclude our second Irish journey. We will return, especially to enjoy the underground dining area.
