Enjoyed this little spot! Tucked away at basement level on Duke street, it's easy to miss it, but it's definitely worth trying. If you buy any bottle of wine, you get a complementary cheese board, and let me tell you, I've paid for cheese boards that were far less impressive than the free one you get here at Red Bank! 4 different types of cheeses on a bed of greens, sundried tomatoes, two chutneys, and unlimited crackers. Staff are very friendly and you always feel looked after. Their menu is quite small, maybe 10 wines total, I don't know how often they rotate, but they do have a special on any given night. A good selection of regions (French, Spanish, South American) so there's something for everyone. Price seems average for the city center. Cozy atmosphere with lots of candles, though the seating is a bit limited, there is a long booth, but most of the seating is really uncomfortable stools. Didn't keep us from staying late into the evening, but next time we'd call ahead and reserve a booth table! Will definitely be back! read more
