Classic hearty Irish food served fast and hot with laughs! Service was attentive friendly and welcoming. Delicious meal. We'll be back.

This was a pretty cool experience here. Didn't get to watch a live band but listening and talking to this witty old man was probably the best part of this place. His personality was so much fun. Can't remember his name but he is old, has glasses, a smart ass, and is the bartender.

Awesome Covid pack of silverware all sealed up with salt and pepper and a napkin well done.

Huge burger and a Guinness (of course). Tasty and warm in my own little safe cubicle outside and under a heater. There is a street musician playing just at the corner for the perfect ambiance. They change the cubicle from one table to two as needed. This is a great place to stop for a snack and drink while out shopping. I love the Covid precautions of little protective barriers and silverware/napkins and salt all in a sealed baggie (and I didn't need to ask for salt or pepper).

Bruxelles is an after work type pub, that serves pretty good though somewhat predictable pub faire. There's no Scottish Eggs here, but if you like Fish 'n Chips for €13.95, Bangers 'n Mash for €11.95, or Shepherds Pie for €12.95, then this is your place. There's also a loud dance pub downstairs, but we were happy to sit outside on the patio and watch the comings and goings beyond the plexiglass. Free entertainment as they say. LOL We enjoyed both the Bangers and Shepherd's Pie (photos) mentioned above on our visit, along with a pint of the dark stuff. It was tasty and hit the spot. We paid with our new chip card and then it was off to Grafton Street to walk off our meal. LOL. Lots of street performers that night and lots of fun. Love this area. So Three Stars, A-Okay!

Walking down the streets of Dublin and we were debating on where to eat. Saw this place and looks alone we said yes. What an excellent stop indeed! Prices are a little expensive, however it was well worth the stop. Bangers and mash was beyond excellent. Tender sausage cooked perfectly for easy biting and the softest mashed you ever had! Topped with THE best caramelized onions I ever had! And they come with plenty. People often talk of Ireland having the best Guinness beer...kid you not it was even better than the original beer at the Guinness brewery. I'm not sure what they do but it has something special and true about it. The applemans cider is also very well too. Next we also tried the beef Sheppard's pie. Not Incredibly flavorful but scrumptious one the less. Fresh greens in the side salad with ripe tomatoes and small cut onions that were the freshest I've ever had! Large cups of soup and salad both filled to the brim! Well worth the price, almost double what you'd get besides that! My only complaint was the $6.80 bottled water....ask for tap and you won't get the charge. The cheeky little place has a wonderful atmosphere! Small, but looks lovely inside and outside as well. Friendly staff that'll get the job done!

    Incredible open-mic night.

The open-mic night was the perfect start to my trip in Dublin. It just so happened it was a Wednesday and we were looking for a place with live music when we saw on Yelp that they had an open-mic night! We went straight to the basement and found some stools to post up for some good tunes. We were blown away by the talent! The atmosphere was so perfect. Low wood-paneled ceiling, comfy colors, and relaxing lighting. We didn't eat anything as we had just had dinner, but the Bulmers Irish cider was delicious! I've been telling all my friends to go here if they're ever in Dublin!

This was our #1, #1 in Dublin. For starters, it was spitting distance from our hotel, and a great way to start each day's trek. A pint later, and we're on to the day's events! Also, it should be mentioned, that this is the pub with the bronze Phil Lynott statue out front. We spoke to the bartender about it, and the less than obvious connection, and she said that they definitely used to drink here, so groovy, I guess we stayed at the right place! The service was always top tier, whether dead or packed, at the bar or out on the patio. Most importantly though, every bite of food was exquisite. We tried half a dozen items over a few trips, and each was spot on. The beef stew, the fish n chips, the mussels, bacon n cabbage... AHHHHH!! Everything was so friggin delectable. This is the place.

Wandering downtown brought us to this place. There are so many American chains nearby and we were trying to avoid these places because, we're in Ireland - let's find a place that is ONLY in Ireland, you know? They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It being Friday - we didn't have any luck finding any outdoor seating, understandably. When we went inside - it was just as packed. When we were going to turn around - a waiter passed us stating that there are more seats downstairs. We went downstairs (where the bathrooms are located, FYI) and she was right. There was only one other group there and the whole place was empty. The downstairs had it's own bar as well. The bartender was also the waiter - a great multitasker. They had TVs at every corner. It was a little darker when it came to lighting. There were different types of seating, booths, tables & chairs, high-bar chairs. We decided we wanted something light - so we opted for a couple appetizers. We ordered: - Vegetarian Spring Rolls: So YUMMY & quite surprised this was on the menu, even in the US, they don't always have Vegetarian options for spring rolls --- it also came with a side of fries. - Onion Rings: YUMMY! TBH, you can't go wrong with fried foods with me. lol. We went up to the bartender to pay our bill. All in all, loved the bar ambiance- I'm sure when it's busier, it would be awesome.

We had 5+ hours to kill before we could check into our hotel. We started wandering down Grafton street. We were thirsty and it started to rain. We indiscriminately sought cover in a nearby "place." How lucky we were that we ended up at Bruxelles! We had our first Irish Guinness here. I also had my first Irish fish and chips at the Bruxelles. We enjoyed the food, drinks, staff and comfort so much we stayed over two hours. It was terrific. There's really no reason not to give The Bruxelles 5 stars b because it was outstanding in every sense. Just outside Bruxelles is a very cool statue of Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy frontman). There is a lot to see and do in Dublin. The Bruxelles set the bar high from the very start of our vacation. It's a more than worthy destination to drink and dine. You won't be disappointed.

    Live music at Zodiac Sessions
    Bryan B.

Perfect spot to grab a pint and watch the foot traffic of Grafton St. go by. This is one of my favorite places to meet friends for an early evening pint since it's very centrally located and you can easily hope from pub to pub from here. On certain nights they have music down stairs for the "Zodiac Sessions" and it can get a little crowded but it's well worth it. I was a little sceptical at first when my friends brought me downstairs but the quality of the music really impressed me.

Tucked down Dame Court just off Dame Street, The Stag's Head is one of those rare pubs that feels genuinely historic rather than designed to look old. The building dates to the late 1800s, and the interior retains the ornate features of a classic Victorian "gin palace"--rich carved wood, stained glass, brass rails, and a warm, glowing bar that feels wonderfully preserved. We stopped in around 4:30 pm, which turned out to be a perfect time to visit. There were other patrons enjoying drinks and food, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxed rather than loud or rowdy. It felt like the kind of place where locals drop in for a quiet pint on their way home from work before the evening crowd arrives. The staff were excellent--friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good (we failed to take photos because we were too busy enjoying it). As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the Impossible burger front and center on their menu; it was deliciously prepared with guacamole on a brioche bun, and not an afterthought on the menu. My companions both chose the Irish Beef Burger, and said it was excellent. One thing to know: this is a traditional Victorian pub, so cocktails aren't really part of the program. Expect beer, wine, or spirits rather than mixed drinks. In a place like this, that actually feels exactly right. Other pubs do serve mixed drinks. Between the history, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wonderful staff, The Stag's Head is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've experienced a real piece of Dublin.
