Falkner is one of the older wineries in the Temecula area. Their selection are diverse and tends to run with Cabs, Rosés and sweet white, but no Sangiovese or Italians. Their wine tastings run $30 for six. Ambiance of the Wine Tasting (photo) area is nice and upscale. We tried three reds and three whites. The most expensive wines were the Reds, which run around $79, with the less expensive sweet wines at $19-ish (photo). We ended up buying a bottle of their 2021 Rosato, which we really enjoyed. We've been a member on and off here for years! Prior fire and after renovation it's still a beautiful spot to enjoy the views of the Valley and the pinnacle Restaurant next-door has really nice food options with views and if you're a member you get nice discounts off bottles and glasses of wine While dining! Ask for Holly for more details on membership she is amazing and so accommodating! Love her! They're the only ones that I know of in Wine country that offer a point system, and if you take advantage of it, you can end up with a free case of wine at the end of the year! read more

I loved my experience. We had our annual Christmas party here and it was incredible from the moment we met with the owner/coordinator of our event. I knew it was going to be great. My boyfriend and I were exploring the local wineries while visiting his parents and had initially wanted to go across the street to Peltzer, but the parking was a nightmare. On a whim, we went up the hill to get our wine on and were pleasantly surprised with Falkner! First of all, the views are gorgeous. The hilltop patio was the perfect place to relax and sip some wine. Plus, they're dog friendly! Other wineries had turned us away because we had our gentle old pup in tow, but Falkner welcomes our furry friends openly. The owners were pouring tastings and they were so friendly and knowledgeable of the wines. Each wine was tasty--I'm big on reds and the Lucious Lips was my standout favorite. They were setting up for a wedding so unfortunately our time here was cut short, but we'll definitely be back! I fully intend on grabbing a Crush Club pack next time :) read more

I attended a wedding at Falkner winery recently. I do not like writing bad reviews, but I needed to let the people know. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the scenery was beautiful and in and out burger truck at end of night was top notch. (Which is not even falkner, but I'll give it anyway.) First off they only had one bartender for 120 people, which left a long line at the bar the entire night. They had a girl off to the side pouring beer and wine, but everyone was drinking cocktails and she wasn't allowed to pour them. The "cheese scape" for the appetizers was literally store bought precut cheese triangles - the dried out flavorless ones...you know the ones, ...with a few grapes and crackers. The Caesar salad had almost zero dressing drizzled on top. So your first two bites were good. The rest was literally dry lettuce. They could have at least tossed it together as a Caesar should be. I asked for more dressing for the table but was ignored. Now let me get to the climax of the abyss.....a thin cut of filet mignon that was past well done, tasted like a piece of leather, a cold potato cheese thing and 2 carrots. I have no idea what was paid for all this, but too much I'm sure. If you care at all about food and bar service for your wedding, do not choose this venue. read more

5 star wines with a 4 star atmosphere. I really enjoyed the wines here. We did a standing tasting at the bar and got to try 6 of their wines for $30. They also had an option to sit outdoors and a taco shop pop up with food options. I really enjoyed the wines- both white and red. I enjoyed getting to taste some of the vertical options and make comparisons between their varietals from year to year. I wasn't super impressed with the service. For one, they were moving so fast. The tasting felt really rushed. Additionally, we weren't told anything about the wines. They had a Chardonnay with a description of being made from central coast grapes. I asked where in the central coast they were from and they didn't know. I love getting to learn about the wines during the tasting process but there didn't seem to be the knowledge to be able to do that here. read more

Definitely not the type of ambience that you want from a winery. Definitely not a Sonoma Napa vibe it was definitely a New Age young people, sexy red people shaking their booties in the air and dancing outside vibe completely different food. they said they had a taco truck and if we wanted a charcuterie board, we could go across the street to the restaurant. They don't have any of this stuff anymore. It's completely different. They've done a full 360 so if you want to turn up and have fun this is the place you want to go to unfortunately, I'm a little too old for that now so you young people have added I'll just go back to Ojai or Napa to get the vibe that I'm looking for. Let me start by telling you that this winery is nice. We went on a Sunday to have lunch their menu at the Pinnacle restaurant is not extensive but good enough to satisfy your appetite as they serve steaks, chicken dishes and seafood. We ordered octopus for appetizers and I got the chicken and risotto which is really good and my girlfriend had some salmon and she liked it too. We had the luscious red wine and that was really good. All our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was, especially the ceremony site. There were several things along the planning process & wedding evening that we were highly disappointed in. First, at the "tasting event" they did not even have many of the dinner options to try. They did not even provide a single chicken dinner to taste. Communication with the team is very spotty. It was honestly a hit or miss. On our wedding night, there was only one bartender for our 120 guests. He was also moving extremely slow. So as you can picture, there was always a long line at the bar and guests were very frustrated. Highly recommend getting an outside wedding planner & day of coordinator. It made our wedding go so smoothly and our planner helped deal with the spotty communication from the Falkner team. Just be aware- this will be apparently an "annoyance" to the Falkner team. Danielle, Falkners wedding manager was complaining to our guests at several points during the night that she wanted to go home and wished the wedding would end already. You can also walk the vinyard and explore the grounds while enjoying your wine so that's nice... and best of all, you get to keep the Faulkner wine glasses!! Food was okay - wine was very good. The view from the balcony is spectacular. The wine tasting room across the way was very nice - there was live music outdoors and an outdoor seating area to enjoy more view and wine. There is even a wedding venue here.. overall pretty nice... probably not the best vinyard here but still lovely... Hopefully they update the restaurant and ambience... and the interior of the tasting room is very big, they could use that space for more guest activity or leisure of some sort... We were greeted by friendly faces- the patio views were nice, though I'm not a fan of the palm trees- kind of takes away from the rolling hills of vineyards vibe. Decent cab sav. The lasting impression I had wasn't great- my wife and brother in law (who was visiting from out of the country) tried to get another glass about 15-20 minutes before close but were told no that they'd be shut down at 5. We knew they closed at 5, but I feel like places typically have a closing time that reflects last pour, with a grace period after for finishing off drinks? Horrible customer service, charged me for a wine club while ill informing the contract. Attempted to cancel the membership prior to it being charged and they only reached out, after they took my money. I explained the extenuating circumstances that I am due to unforeseen and unexpected medical needs and they refused to cancel snd refund. They did not empathize with my situation, on top of that, they are forcing me to go "pick up" the items I cannot afford or even have the ability to obtain. Again, I tried to handle this prior to the charge but they only responded after so they could get their funds. Will be contacting the better business bureau if this is not handled accordingly. Since a good chunk of my bridal party lives in SoCal now due to the increasing cost of living in San Francisco and being in the military, I decided to drive down to celebrate with them. Its an upcoming wedding after all, as well as my little sister's birthday weekend (she wasn't able to celebrate becoming legal to drink due to school & covid) so we opted to go for the classy, non ratchet, bougie wine tasting route. We're no wine connoisseurs, just wanted to try for the experience. When I began my research the week prior, most wineries were either booked, did not accommodate groups larger than 6, or it was first come first serve. Having to been to Napa before & during covid, I knew it was best to reserve, as well as check for covid compliance. I saw on the Falkner website and through yelp reviews, that they were safe to go to, social distanced, and could accommodate parties larger than 6. I was with a party of 9, all of us filipino or Hispanic, 4 couples plus my sister, and all vaccinated due to either being in the military or health care field. I emailed them on a Wednesday afternoon, received a response the following morning, confirmed same day, drove down Friday night after work, and showed up Saturday afternoon. Come Saturday, driving to Temecula, the winery isn't hard to miss. It's perched on a hill. Parking was easy. I followed the wine tasting sign assuming it was all going to be outdoor. I checked in with an employee and they actually brought us down to the lower level members area. Hallie helped us out. She was absolutely amazing. Now I've gone to my share of pretentious, snobby, bougie wineries in Napa & Sonoma. Being a young girl of color made me feel a little out of place at those spots, but Hallie was our homie. My entire party loved the experience. I wasn't expecting homegirl to keep it lit. It was wine drinking, not wine tasting, and I ain't complaining. She also showed us the outside area that is used for weddings. Perfect photo op. Now the fiance, cousins, and I have impromptu engagement photos as well as several bottles of the seductive series sweet wines.
